@@DevonDoesTech Have you seen the difference in performance with the ultra CPU with the new CUDIMM RAM with 8000MT or faster as opposed to the rugular slower RAM? People Keep telling me to try an get the new faster ram to help the CPU out a lot. Im upgrading from a 5900x giving that one to my wife and bringing my 4090 over to the intel platform. I want to do gaming and work/streaming so I think the 265k or 285k is a perfect match for me.
@@the_barbarian6689 I had heard about it but never seen it in action, never really looked that into it just based on how much more expensive it is. Although it was one of my predictions months ago that even though the Ultra series came out to some pretty lackluster fanfare, that there's definitely things they could do software wise that could make them worth picking up. I'll have to revisit with the idea of the CUDIMM RAM as well, this could make a compelling case for some if you're not trying to build an ultra-budget machine!
For a similar price you could step up to the 9700X and get an AM5 CPU. Probably lead to a more expensive total system but will probably last a bit longer.
@DevonDoesTech for streaming though? Intel is better for streaming and alot better at multi tasking than almost any amd chip. Amd is king if your strictly wanting a gaming pc cause if you start doing video editing and stuff like that them cpus fall off hard is the problem. Great for gaming though imo.
Look intel or amd is fine both definitely have pros and cons and your right intel is better for multitasking and video editing, but for streaming everyone is using gpu video encoding so and x3d with a good GPU is “ the best”….. BUTTTT for budget obviously not so much
You're right, if you're taking advantage of GPU encoding, which most people should be at this point, CPU matters a lot less for the game. It all comes down to the extra applications you're running and how efficiently you want to do it!
should i go for amd 9800x3d or go with the intel i9 14900k ? I want a proper gaming pc and i want to stream on youtube for at least 5 to 6 hours a day. I am confused due to the intel issue. I want to play AAA games along with the shooting games and want a good processor which can stream for 6 hours without lagging or crash. Pls suggest.❤
Either will definitely get the job done. As long as you update the bios on your motherboard, shouldn't have any issues with the i9. Personally I'd go with the i9 if you're spending that kind of money. That and good luck finding an X3D CPU at the moment anyways, they're sold out
@@shashwat9832Since your new to PC I would recommend just going with the 9950x. You want a lot of cores and great gaming performance. The 9900x is not great at gaming because it’s 6 cores on each CCD which can lead to latency issues when gaming.
Hi, i want to buy the next gen 5070 ti. I do a lot of streaming. Personally I play on WQHD. And also i want to do some editing. Do you think a i5 14600K would be a good way to go, i thought because of the graphics unit and the 14 Cores it would be good? For budget i have 300€. Sorry for my bad englisch…
While we don't have any true benchmarks out for the 5000 series yet, you should probably be ok. Depending on what games you're playing and the FPS you want to hit a 14700k could be worth the upgrade but the 14600k is hard to beat at it's current price. All this with the caveat, as long as you're ok with purchasing a 14th gen Intel CPU that could still be susceptible to their degradation issues.
I never even heard that AMD has 6000 series Ryzen chips besides their laptop chips… Also note that AMD switched the part in AM5, all their AM5 chips get the graphic component in there BUT there is another variant which is probably only brought in AliExpress and they have the F variant which kinda means the same that Intel has which means no video out, but they still do the X and the X3D as usual on the AMD side.
What cpu for gaming and streaming at same time? Was leaning towards ryzen 7 9800 x3d. Also going to get the 5090 gpu so gaming load will be handled but still..
thank you, the cpu is the last thing im mulling over. would going up to a 9900X be a better upgrade over 9700X for the cores and threads ? also im pairing it with a 4070 super edit: i dont mind spendin a lil extra to have a better smooth stream
In real world use, you're probably not going to see a ton of difference. Is the 9900X better? Yes. Is it worth the $90-100 difference? Eh? The biggest thing you'd probably notice is the much higher TDP and potential extra heat coming from the 9900X. But the performance is pretty negligible. cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Ryzen-9-9900X-vs-AMD-Ryzen-7-9700X/4171vs4169
Thank you for these explanations!!! 🙌🏻
Anything for you 😘

7 7000X is probably a solid choice, but i'd also go with i7-13700k

8 cores only is not good for streaming. It’s good for gaming though.
Finally someone talking common sense, I am thinking on building a system around 12900k for $280 and pair it with 5080
Hey appreciate you being here! I'm using the 12900k with a 3080Ti and haven't thought about upgrading myself yet!
I totally agree, Intel is absolutely the way to go. Also investing into Intel right now is probably smart too :)
*THIS IS NOT A FINANCIAL ADVICE CHANNEL*

still rocking a 12600k, 5800x and my kid a 5600x, all working great even tho they are all end of life platforms using LGA1700 and AM4 motherboards.
Still have a 12600k in my daughter's build too! Those are all solid CPUs for gaming!

I didn't even see the graphic that said AMD uses F now. That's how much I use AMD cpus...
What would you say the best cpu is for gaming and streaming at the same time is within a 2k price range?
$2k budget is pretty big, you should be good to get just about whatever CPU you want. I'd recommend something like the i7-14700K
What cpu for gaming and streaming at same time? Was leaning towards ryzen 7 9800 x3d. Also going to get the 5090 gpu so gaming load will be handled but still..

You also forgot the CPU that can only be acquired through blood ritual the 5800X3D lol
There's some CPUs that I only mention in private. Some knowledge isn't meant to be shared. 🤣
@@DevonDoesTech 🤣🤣
Still holding my i5 12600k
Such a goat CPU though. Still have one in my daughter's PC, it's awesome!
@ hope it can handle 4070 on 2k res
