Hello everyone and welcome back to Age of Wonders 4! Today, the Chosen of Hashut finally makes progress in his never-ending war on two fronts after defending the Black Fortress from incursion yet again at 4:24, dismantling Blint's two part deterrence efforts at 37:34 and 58:55, and exploiting Blint's positional errors at 1:15:35. As of 1:38:40, Blint has forever sealed the fate of his people as servants of the Dawi-Zharr. This wasn't originally my plan, but Hashut is always willing to accept new slaves- I mean, unpaid interns. Next time, a new sacrifice has been marked -- thanks for watching! In case you don't known: If you boost a building while it is being build you will both finish it faster and get the "extra" gold you spend back.
I knew that it would reduce the craft time but I was uncertain about getting the extra gold back. Thanks for confirming!
Do you get the gold next turn? I did some testing and was definitely not getting it on the same turn.
@@inferionemperor5219 You should be getting it immediately when annexing a province that boost the building being build. It worked fine when I tested it a few months ago... I will do some testing again and get back to you about this.
@@inferionemperor5219 You are correct, it no longer works, so no getting your gold back, when boosting later. I wonder when and why this was changed?
Here couple of Mods that could be useful for your future plays
-"Optional Cosmetic Transformations", gives all transformation perks, without changing appearance of your race, no more Goth Jaina
-"Age of Fashion", you can create some interesting heroes and faction leaders with this
-"Godir Helmet with Hair", in combination with some hairstyles this thing looks great.
-"No Dragon Crowns", this looks good, haven't played with it and Dragon ruler
Don't know if it's part of some mod, or part of original game, but, I managed to cast Major transformation on race that already had one and the new replaced the old, this gave me some ideas:
You can probably turn Little guys in Giants and vice versa,
With Wizard King, you can make your lord different race, for example turn race ad ruler to Demons and then turn race to Dragonkin, now you have flying Lord, looking like Anime Half Transformed Dragon, with draconian army, also "Optional Cosmetic Transformations" gives additional options,
Changing from one major transformation to another is something you can do without mods.

@@Fableheim there is also a mod that I forgot to mention, it gives beards to Dwarven Tome units, it's called "Dwarves Have Beards".

A viewer actually made a similar mod strictly for the Reaver Dragoons, and I'm using that one. XD
I'm gonna be honest, I was not sure you would be able to win that battle for The Black Fortress 😅 Blint has grown big and strong after all the beatings he received.

Anticlimactic end of a war, are you sure? After all this suffering, you managed to turn Blint into your Little Bitch an now you can boss him around.
Well, instead of an epic final battle we have Blint bending knee like the coward he is...a wise coward though, since he will get to be on the victor's side for a change.
In the moment, I was kind of hoping for a huge battle as a finale where I could steal his capital city and give it a lore-appropriate name.
But now that I've slept on it, this is probably a fate worse than death for Blint. XD
It seems Blint is wiser than he looks. Bending the knee to Drazhoath is the only way for him to be on the winning team.
Although it's funny that Blint is ranked no. 3 while Drazhoath is only no. 8.
Yeahh, I think there was a little bit of a bug where it circumvented the nearly 800g he wanted for the deal but I'm not gonna say no to having a slave- I mean, unpaid intern. {:
With your leader you ignore overchannel and with your other hereos you ignore spur-the-action which is massive advantage, you lost several units because of it and not using summons in the first turn to creaty meat shield.
With the summons, I typically don't pop them on turn 1 because of their 3 turn duration but if I wait too long I don't want to use their turn to summon when I can smack enemies. As for spur to action, I occasionally forget which Hero has it and which doesn't. Mistakes to improve on for sure!

Does Norri's new Disrupt skill bounce with the thunder bow? Removing multiple units enchantments sounds really good.
If I had to guess, I would say yes, since the Thunderbow bounced other status effects like Burning, but there's only one way to find out! (:
