I just got this watch. It was never on my radar...Until I saw it in person and my jaw dropped. The camera does not pickup the copper/red tones like the eye does. It looks way better in person than on camera. I now have this to go along with my Sead Dweller 43 and DJ41 Blue Motif.
I saw this watch in Argentina. Probsbly the most beautiful Rolex I've ever seen in person. My wife wanted to get me a dress watch for our 20th so when I got home we got a 41mm DJ rose/steel wimbledon. I have strongly considered trading my batman for this rootbeer, but it would be my 3rd 2-tone and 2nd rose gold watch. So I'm going to just get one as soon as I can afford to. But it's my very next rolex, without doubt.
One of the finest piece that Rolex made. I just bought this Rolex GMT root beer July 27 & cost me $29K brand new. Rolex stores don’t have this and it will take at least 7 years before you can get this if you are lucky. So you really have to pay the Premium price if you really like to gave this piece.
Lovely piece. Got mine a few months ago & the look is definitely more muted than something like the Bluesy. Saying that, it’s the Rootbeer that has now enhanced my appreciation for the Bluesy so I’d love to get one at some point.
I chose this Rolex for my collection as a GMT movement. Lovely watch, was wearing it today. 😊 I've also got an Omega Speedmaster Moonphase in Sedna Gold (18k Rose Gold) and an Omega Seamaster 300 Chronograph in Sedna Gold. ... but I'll add a plain Stainless Steel Submariner at some point... seems daft not to. I tend to wear Grand Seiko's for casual.
3:57 have you been going to your AD for a while with decent purchase history or you happen to just meet the right rep and built a good relationship on your first visit?
I had zero purchase history with them. But I have been trying to buy a watch from them for a while probably over 2 years and a ton of emails. It started with waiting for a Pepsi, then an explorer and this just kind of happened.
I'm literally drooling over the rootbeer. What size is your wrist? Mine is 7.25 and wondering if 40mm gmtmaster would look a little small on my wrist..
I’m 6.75 or so. I do not think it would look small at all on you. As mentioned I originally wanted to explorer 1 at 36 mm. I think smaller watches are making a comeback
I have a 7.25 inch wrist, and I'm used to wearing Omega Speedmasters, Seamasters and 44m Grand Seiko's. I've also got this Rolex Rootbeer and it does wear small (from what I'm used to)... but... it's a lovely watch, and looks just great.
There’s no wait list, dealers receive 1 or 2 deliveries a month from Rolex Geneva but never know what it is. So many factors influence how long it takes to get one from an AD. But hundreds available on 2nd market. Pricing on these mow approx 20k
These are the two MUST haves imho. The two tone rootbeer is just insanely amazing in person. I saw Dwayne Johnson The Rock wearing it and heard its his favorite. Google it.

Way less than 7 years. 7 years would be like a Daytona .

Right now this model it’s going for around 22k
I guess people who resale this watch can only make 1-2 k on it .

The Root Beer was my least favorite GMT until I saw it in person! Now it’s my favorite it’s a beautiful watch!

I'm at 7cm and if looks far larger in the mirror than looking down. It's strange. In th3 mirror, looks grear!!
Does it scratch super easy ? Never owned a 2 tone before , jubilee bracelet would be perfect for this model

I've been able to enjoy the rootbeer since early 2018, it does pay to have a lengthy relationship with an AD.
