From deep in the united states in south Louisiana from a 79 yr old man many thanks to both of you and your precious dogs for bringing us along and keeping my dreams coming true seeing this beautiful country.
Wow! Stunning nature, excellent filming, perfect storytelling, great music, pro editing - the whole package is superb ❤ Thank you guys and keep them coming 😁
I stumbled upon your video by chance. And unexpectedly, this brought me back to 2006, when my wife and I did exactly the same canoe tour on our own. Experience of a lifetime - still remember every day, every camp, the fear when we were hit by a storm and the endless peace we met on Lake Laberge when the water was like a mirror and we seemed to be the only humans on earth, a tiny speck floating bewteen the clouds an the water. I took a feeling of awe with me that today still lingers in my heart when I think about this mighty river. "...There’s a land-oh, it beckons and beckons, And I want to go back-and I will." Thank you for reminding me. P.S.: Big shout out to the quality of your filming, storytelling and editing!
High quality production, extreme adventure, high risk, passion, knowledge, girt….this is just mind blowing. Top notch work. Two people team. Award winning.
I have just watched this trip. What a fabulous adventure. Thank you so much for taking me along. Absolutely stunning footage. Most enjoyable experience. Looking forward to watching your next adventure 👍🏻❤
The production value of this show is splendid. Have you really recorded all that just 2 people paddling down the Yukon in 7 days? If that is so, it is hard for me to understand how you could do that? I mean one thing is to paddle down the Yukon. But if you are able to make an epic video account of it, at the same time. That's beyond my comprehension.
The umbrella was too good. Had a great laugh. Thank you for taking us along on this wonderful trip. Halfway when this comment is being written and I'm settling in for the rest.
As a fellow Canadian I tell ya eh that them WILD umbrella's are very sneaky eh......, they pop up out of nowhere and then just block all the views, and it didn't even say sorry eh....lol..... well that's alright....in the end it all worked out lol...
Amazing work of art and so cool to see so many familiar spots. I also am from Ontario and have been doing work contracts in Yukon throughout 2024. The place gets in your soul. You don't want to leave and can't wait to get back, Im heading back out in two weeks for 3 months !!! Cant wait to breathe that air !!!!
Wonderful video. I was engaged the entire video. This video is truely a work of art. Thank you for taking me on the journey and putting all the effort into producing this video.
Operator error..apparently didn't hit the comment button, and this is worth a re-write. I am so so happy to have been on this adventure, via video, with you two and the family critters! I am not sure I have the right words to express just how great this was, how well done, except to say....'EPIC"....SO my paddle and pack are ready for your next journey.....Thanks so much you two for sharing!! Again excellent job in filming and narrative!!
Working threw obstacles as one unit...calm..purposeful...encouraging..exploring and living life with a common goal not wasted or lost in today's rat race most live in. Thank you both for reminding us of what this means.
Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful, inspiring and so beautifully filmed video, Ashley and Keenan, and your extremely well behaving canine friends 😍😍 You got a new subscriber from the currently snowy and chilly Finland. Wishing you all the best and amazing new adventures!
Such a treasure! Thank you for a perfect trip down a historic Canadian river, by a wonderful Canadian couple and their two adventurous hounds. Wildlife abounds and you capture it with ease. Anyone who has paddled a fast river knows how hard that can be. Ashley must be the talented filmographer for many scenes, since she is at the bow. The drone shots and music choices rounded out a spectacular video. Anxious to see the next one, which you do mention...
Hello, my dears, I love watching your adventures ;) I really relax a lot when I watch these videos. Whether on the couch at the weekend or when I'm sick. Thanks for the relaxing adventure. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪 Robin
What a magical video, the mixed emotions from start to finish were easily conveyed. Congratulations on your wonderful journey, not just on the Yukon but life itself! Greetings from Germany!👍🍻
That was really something to watch! Very well done on every level I can think of. I wish i was as chill as Hugo going through that first wave train. Glad you used the longboat. Thanks for sharing this epic adventure...I will be watching this again on the weekend:)
Oh wauw what e beautiful trip! I would love to do something like this! But I think I’m too old for that! ,,67”! I’m looking forward to coming to Canada 🇨🇦 next summer! Our son lives in southern Ontario. The weekends we’ll spend on white Cloud island, he is building a cabin there! Sorry if I made some mistakes my mother tongue is German! Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Excellent accounting of a fabulous trip. Years ago I read an account of a family kayaking down the river in Klepper folding kayaks and I enjoyed it. But the fantastic photography...particularly the drone images...really fleshed out the trip in a way that even the best writing winds up lacking. Thank you both for allowing me to tag along in this wondrous adventure!
Ya those drone shots never get old do they. I’m still amazed when we get back from trips at how cool drone shots can be. Very different perspective. Thanks so much for all your nice comments.
I glimpsed the Yukon River this past June while traveling in Alaska and the Yukon, as far as Carcross. A guide described his trip along the length of the River, and I haven’t really stopped thinking about how magical that trip would be. That experience brought me to your outstanding video. Thank you for taking us along, the videography and music selections were excellent, and really help to capture the scale and solitude of the scenery and experience. I hope to have the chance to do this someday.
This was So Amazing with pizza night!!! I Had !!! To try it with Coffee Morning!!!! ❤ if it gets any Better with Morning coffee I won't be able to contain My Self❤ Thank you Keenan, Ashley What A Gift You Both are To Me❤❤❤ can't wait for the NEXT AMAZING ADVENTURE ❤
Love the sweet peace of the mass spans of great scenery with the sound of the water . Being an Adventurous couple with wonderful dogs appreciating beauty and time together makes for such great journeys! Thanks for sharing !
This was an hour and a half of shear pleasure. You guys are magical together ! it is so apparent of your love for each other and your passion for tripping, what a treat. Thanks for taking us along !!!!. Cheers from Cape Breton Nova Scotia
So enjoy your videos and this one is my favorite so far! Beautifully done! Thank you for putting so much effort into the quality of your videos. Putting canoeing down the Yukon on my bucket list now.
Good morning Keenan and Ashley. I don't know how I missed this one being uploaded. This is a beautiful and wonderful video. I really enjoyed it and will be watching it again. What a great trip. Thank you, Terry
At 1:17:07 The high drone shot of the river shows the islands making an artsy, yet easy to make out, cockatiel; entire face and the water is its body even to an artsy form of its head feathers. I spent my summer kayaking and back country exploring in Wyoming, Utah, and Nevada... I've been patiently waiting for your Summer 2024 videos to come out...I couldn't hold myself back anymore so I'm binging on CANOE THE NORTH... Oh, how I love them, so beautiful, magnificent photography, all four of you are a delight. Will it be much longer for summer 2024?...are we there yet? How much further?😉
Thanks so much for the message. Just the little nudge I need to finish the first 2024 video. Hoping to have the first one out next weekend 🤞 can’t promise anything but we are working on it as I’m writing this. Thanks so much for the support.
@CanoeTheNorth Oh, yes, pleeezzzz. I'm currently camped in the Az desert before heading home to Washington. And on this lovely sunny evening I'm crying like a silly baby having just watched you propose to Ashley on the beach below those glorious mountains...I'm such a sap!!!
Dear Ashley and Keenan, I am in awe of the scenery along the Yukon River! Thank you for sharing your unique experiences with us, and please keep on paddling! Sending hugs to both of you and your dogs 🤗
Keenan & Ashley - thank you for 'taking' me to places I have never been and never will get to - for sharing the beauty of nature as she is with us all. At closing in on 83 yrs, I am content to sit comfortably at home and watch you two 'go wild.' The 5 finger rapids were amazing. Questions: I know Betty-Lou goes on most of your solo adventures, but what is the other dogs name, and how old are they both?
We couldn’t be happier to share these adventures with people like yourself. Thank you so much for all of your nice comments. Hugo is our other dogs name. He’ll be 13 this summer and Betty Lou is 7 now 🐶.
My favourite part of this video other than the epic scenery was towards the beginning when Ashley reminded Keenan about the time he tried to make a sail and had a bit of a melt down. Loved her keeping it real that it’s not all sunshine and tailwinds for a couple on a trip. 😊 Exploring those old ruins is amazing and even watching the video only you can almost see the past and picture it once a busy site that now time is taking back. Thanks again for sharing these stories and letting us come along virtually.
This is my dream canoe trip! But all I could do was drive the Alcan Highway! Rented a car in Vancouver for a month after flying out of Ottawa! Camped in a tent all the way! Alone! As usual!~ Best trip ever!~ Crossed the Yukon River at Dawson City and made my way to Whitehorse! Drove every single road in the Yukon. Trip of a lifetime!
Like Ashley said STUNNING!!!!! Keenan my wife and I are driving out west for the first time this summer and really looking forward to it. This was a great way to spend a Saturday morning catching a glimpse of Yukon THX CHEERS !!!
Just so many thanks for bringing us along you two! What a trip and captured so beautifully as always! I’d love to do this trip and who knows, someday I really hope to. Can’t wait for more adventures, be well and safe and give the pups a hug from me ❤️ Barret
When I got the notification Canoe The North...I was so looking forward to watching this. I knew it was going to be another stellar adventure trip, so to do it justice I waited until this evening when I knew I had plenty of time to really experience this wonderful trip that you've taken us on. The way you edit and present these videos...I literally feel I'm exploring along side! Thanks so much it was magnificent!!!!
