Im having a crisis, Mia. When I was a kid I thought you could only use cake mixes that came with the easy bake oven!!!! If I wouldve known I could have used my own cake mix as a child I think I would have a bakery empire by now.

I think that’s why she had a harder time getting the cakes out of the oven, because regular cake mix rises, and easy bake oven cake mix doesn’t rise as much

When you’re stacking layers, I would recommend using something to support them like a straw, wooden dowel, or in this case a toothpick. That way it is more stable. Also this cake turned out SO cute I love it. And I would love to see a mini dog cake :)

Many symptoms are invisible or put down to something else
After 7 years dialysis I just got kidney transplant today

I always add 1-2 extra eggs.
Milk instead of water.
And butter instead of oil, but double the amount they ask for. (Ex: 1/2 oil = 1 cup butter.)
Those things will legit make your cake sooooo moist and decadent, it tastes like a legit bakeries cake. I make all my sons birthday cakes everyone always loves it and have no idea that I made it. I also love to decorate them! 😅
Also think about adding your own flavors to white cake box, and then adding a fresh fruit filling in between your layers! 🤤

there is actually a difference in measuring cups! there are liquid and dry measuring cups and they do make a difference in baking!
I was hoping someone noticed! She used the dry ingredient measuring cup instead of the liquid measuring cup and I was yelling at the screen lol
What's the difference?
Do other countries not weigh their dry ingredients and measure liquid?
@@birgem19 We don't usually weigh anything. I only have a kitchen scale because I like to read recipes online and if I search for them in English they often need to be weighed
@@birgem19 here in the uk we use a scale for dry ingredients like an electric one with grams and normally a scale or a jug for liquids using millilitres.

Yes, do a Pup Cake next!!! That easy bake oven actually doesn't look easy to use AT ALL. They need to bring back the other model, I can't believe they are discontinuing. Also, the leaning tower of cake was adorable, I wanted to see the layers if you cut the cake but it got nommed so fast, hahaha. Nice job Mia, cute cake.

The best tip I’ve learned while baking is flour your pans after you grease them…so satisfying when they plop out perfectly

I remember seeing a list of things that professional bakers do to amp up their box cakes when they can't do from scratch. You should try a video where you do a bunch of them!
I’m not a pro at baking not even close so to me Mia is so good- the cake was amazing imo
SO cute! If you have a small cake, chocolate ganache is an awesome way to just pour and then it sets, looks pretty darn perfect and is SUPER easy! Just good quality chocolate and heated heavy cream. I love it as a ganache, but you can also then whip it and it turns into a gorgeous creamy chocolate frosting

@MiaMaples I've commented this before buuuuutttt here ya go. Since you bake cakes so often I think you should know that if you follow the directions on the package but then add an extra egg (or two if you want a richer taste), replace the oil with melted butter but double the amount (if you need a tablespoon of vegetable oil instead put 2 tablespoons of melted butter), and replace the water with an equal amount of milk. It will taste literally like 1,000 times better. I do this every time I bake a cake and they taste like they were made from scratch. My sister actually did this for my wedding cake (I only had like 20 people at my wedding so it was a small cake) but everyone was saying how good the cake was and was asking which bakery we bought it from! Also if you buy store bought frosting if you just put it in a bowl and use the mixer on it, it makes it taste a lot better! You can also add like a teaspoon of vanilla to make it even better! Someone help me get this message to Mia!!!

Great video idea! Doing the crumb coating and letting it set in the fridge definitely helps. Especially for those being so tiny. Those would be so cute for a kid's party. They could all decorate their own little tiered cakes. Might be a lot of work though.
