Bit mystified why you’d got to all the trouble and expense to lift your vehicle for better clearance to then lose 30-50% of that gained clearance with a diff drop?? Even with the potential for cv binding at full droop it seems wasteful, especially as 90% of people that lift their Prado/ifs vehicle don’t go wheeling hard enough to test the droop.
You are partially correct. A regular diff drop would not be worth it, but this is a full arms style diff drop which gives some serious suspension benefits. For example, the majority of the clearance loss with this proper full arm diff drop happens right between the front wheels. This means its not really in an area that's hit often as your tires lift you up when going over obstacles. This diff drop also allows IFS vehicles to gain a significant amount of suspension down travel, which is a massive benefit when off-roading and is arguably WAY more beneficial than any minimal clearance loss.
