The highlight of today's show had to be the folks who were unloading the entire contents of their storage unit into that boat along with 57 loaves of baguette bread, a mattress, a kitchen sink and a partridge in a pear tree! But the 1st mate of the Concept... she had some abs! No wonder they figured she could tug a war with that little boat. No problem there!

I thought there were classes and certifications people had to take and pass before they are able to put any boat into the water? I've been watching many of your videos and I can say that a lot of what you are showing are uneducated and uncertified boat operators. It also seems that an important part of operating a boat is knowing how to launch and recover at a boat ramp, which includes backing a vehicle with a trailer. There are so many fails at what seems to be basic boat operating skills - Including Jet-Skis.

Aren't oars STANDARD required safety equipment ???? so you can row to shore if your engine quits. ?

This video pretty much sums up jet skiers. A boat in distress less than 100 feet from the dock and they won't help, but a 30 foot boat does?

Hey Bronco, got some advice for towing.
Two good ways, have a post ahead of your engines/rudders, or have a self balancing yoke across the transom.
If you're just tied off to a cleat the tow is always trying to make you turn one way, and if there's any wind it might be very difficult to turn against it without backing and filling, posing risk of entanglement with slack line.
In this scenario, holding the line is just fine, she's moving to the inside of the turns to assist in steering, replicating a balanced yoke or post, and you should be ready to cut away on short notice, or shorten the lines.
With such a small tow, in good conditions, it's just fine.
Here's the yoke, awkward description for a simple device; line tied from cleats on each side near the transom, forming a V behind the boat passing through the eye of the tow line.
if you turn to port, the eye slides to the port side, increasing drag with the tow on that side and assisting the turn, et visa versa. Straight ahead the tow lines centers itself on the yoke and you have efficient pulling straight ahead with no need for rudder input to counter imbalanced drag.
Another pro tip, use a long, long long tow line, get your tow out of the prop wash and reduce drag, as well as absorbing shock from the climbing up and down over big waves.

I've heard you mention the third way, tying off alongside, can be done well, or pose some problems, maybe give you some tips next time you mention it.

Why do none of these boats have fenders or dock lines on each side? I dont get it? If ur using a public dock u need fenders and dock lines for both sides of ur boat!!!! 🤦‍♂️

Part of the problem is the life jacket? I think all of the problem is what the life jacket is wrapped around.

The people at 2:00 actually own the ramp and just let the peasants use it. They probably own the road leading to the ramp as well. Your humble subjects thank you.

It's gringos like those fools who back up down the ramp then decide they are going to unload the contents of the tow vehicle when all that should have been done while they waited on line so as to speed up the process of getting the boat off the trailer and tied up..it's those people who ruin weekends...

Why didn’t that little boat have a paddle? It’s actually a law in Illinois. Would have made it easy. And jet ski riders are generally clueless.
