Pulls a big boat with a Jeep, didn’t stay out of the way before the truck tows his boat(could have gotten really hurt if rope snapped), stands behind Jeep when it wasn’t fully pulled out to grab a speaker(rope snaps, he’s done for), Floridaman? Outrageous!
Best slip fix Ever! Floridians may scoff at this idea but it works. To slay those steep slippery ramps use 'plastic' snow chains. If the vehicle is front wheel drive, one tire should be enough. I'd do both if rear wheel. There's a trifecta of issues. The tongue weight of the boats vs rear weight of the vehicle with the pitch of the ramp. The high temps bolster the algae bloom. Unfortunately low tide risks too much vehicle in the water for some. A new small business Alfred! If a vehicle is in jeopardy they could sell them on the spot and put them on right there on the ramp. Unlike metal chains they won't damage the ramp, less stress on tires and they won't rust.
Another great video from the Chit Show!!! Thanks for sharing!!! And to think, all he had to do was release the the boat’s pulley so it would’ve floated away from the Jeep. Instead, it floated away WITH the Jeep!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
This is a perfect example why you don't have your kids in the vehicle while loading or unloading on the ramp. Imagine how much more chaotic if there was a child strapped in the back of the jeep. Be safe!
wow, with a 2wd tacoma in Florida, this is my biggest fear. I always wondered how it happens and prepare for no traction coming out. but I figured if I went backwards and the weight of the boat unloaded from trailer by floating I would not go to far back. but in my mind I know. you cannot rely on the emergency brake or Park. your loosing front brakes the moment you let go of that pedal and with the rear submerged you will start to float the rear further reducing rear brakes.
@@BigRigNate I saw that, he was bouncing off Rev limiter, I wonder if it was a manual transmission. even then he should have let out the clutch to the friction point before lifting brake. easy to say, I grew up in New England, here in Florida there are no hills force you to learn this. the only hill you driver here is a boat ramp or parking garage. maybe he was drunk, or too much sun.

Seems like the Park Rangers should make everyone fill out a pre-launch checklist before letting them past the front gate. Fail the checklist and you go to the back of the line. That might eliminate many of the delays on weekends!
10:08 Be sure to have your little girl stand in front of you when an anchor line is used as a tow line, so she can help deflect it when it snaps. 11:18 The best place to stand when your vehicle is being towed up the ramp is directly behind it, so when the lines snap, you can just catch it and push it up all by yourself

When it comes to stability, short wheel base vehicles are crappy for towing anyway, but this video reminds me of the time a bunch of us were staying at a cabin in the snow. The street the cabin was on is at a considerable slope. The only vehicle that had trouble with the hill was my brother in law’s jacked up Chevy blazer with big assed tires that acted just like skis on the ice. He slid sideways all the way down the hill.
Umm. If it wasn't his fault, yeah. But the tow rating on that 2 door is 2000 lbs. Bigger wheels, less than that. That rig was probably well over 5k. I'm all for helping out but....

I would lose speed going up any incline on the freeway. Way underpowered. When I saw what type of jeep he was using.... I gasped! Throw in the fact that they routinely jump out of 1st gear! And the recipe for disaster is written. In this case I can't verify a manual transmission. But still, the odds were stacked against him from the get go. Any error was going to lead to a calamity.
Winner winner chicken dinner! Not setting his brake was a huge mistake! But then the second you feel yourself rolling back wouldn't you slam your emergency brake and your emergency brake?

Don't take your foot of the brake!!!!!! The front tries that is. Hopefully this isn't too confusing.

AND JUST LIKE THAT, THE JEEP IS GONE. MOSTLY I FEEL SORRY FOR THE LITTLE GIRL WHO WAS LEFT BY HERSELF CRYING. Keep up the great work CHIT SHOW and stay safe brother. 🥊 🥊 🥊 👍 👍 👍
Would you have rather had the kid with the dad in the sinking jeep? or jumping into a moving uncontrolled boat thats strapped to a sinking trailer strapped to a sinking jeep? lol
Pulls a big boat with a Jeep, didn’t stay out of the way before the truck tows his boat(could have gotten really hurt if rope snapped), stands behind Jeep when it wasn’t fully pulled out to grab a speaker(rope snaps, he’s done for), Floridaman? Outrageous!
Some people have more money than brains .look at the size of the boat versus the size of the jeep .
If I were a child & had to depend on parents like that ,I'd be panicked too
I have seen the (?) Questionable brain power of some people first hand. & supposedly these same people had more money than brains also
Pretty big multiple lesson on what not to do.
Speaker? The Wet Woofers!
“He’s not completely in the water”
Woman : “let me fix that”
Another great video from the Chit Show!!!
Be safe!
Nice share. Thanks my friend
wow, with a 2wd tacoma in Florida, this is my biggest fear.
Problem is, with the bow still winched tight, it will start to lift the rear wheels off the ground as it starts to float.
If you look the wheels didn't even spin. He wasn't fully in gear
@@DC-si8xw had to be a manual, you could even hear the grinding as if he wasn't fully in gear. As usual with a lot of these boaters, he had no idea what he was doing
Always check the ramp. I have a steel broom to hit that algae. It's worse than ice. Chocks too if it's there
Damn that sucks......You said that with heartfelt sympathy......................
I guess that couple match perfectly. No brainer. One pull a boat with a 4 cylinders wrangler and the other try to help pulling the boat connected it to the trailer
Love your content you make great tubes very good work.
I saw this on another channel but your channel showed the whole event of that jeep that went under and definitely glad I got to see it.
great example of why you need to have a heavy tow rig or you're asking for it
That first boat, the red one with the triple Verado's. That looks like an old Scarab Super Sport 34. If so it was very nicely redone! Beautiful!
I’ve seen many boat ramps with ridged cuts in the cement at the bottom of the ramps just for this condition. I’m surprised not to see them at black point.
All CONCRETE ramps should have a rough surface.
Yeah I don't understand it
It's a government paid job that did the ramp. The lowest bidder won and so the Docks and the ramps have poured concrete on them. :(
Seems like the Park Rangers should make everyone fill out a pre-launch checklist before letting them past the front gate.
Sylvia ... I was going to comment on BOTH of these stupidities as well. Unreal.
Yea I'm thinking their little girl is crying because she realizes she's related to those dummies.
Doesn't matter no loss there anyways
People panic and don't think clearly when these things happen...
True!! Push the Jeep up with the boat!! Especially if you realized it’s about to come in !!!
Happy Sunday Alfred......Cheers from up in Orlando, Paul
Amazing ! Fast your day can change !
.58, "the good thing is, he's not completely in the water"
2 seconds later, Jeep becomes a temporary submarine!!
You got the bloop bloop bloop!!! congrats amigo
He left it in gear or neutral when he got out of the Jeep. She turned on the engine and backed the boat with it still attached to the trailer and pulled the Jeep and him into the water. That is sad. They both panicked.
Exactly , boat pulled it the rest of the way in
I was watching this thinking I hope he has night vision on that camera. I’m new to boating and this video has given me a new found confidence.
Short wheel base jeep is probably the worst boat ramp vehicle .
My grand Cherokee works fine at the ramp thanks
@@Telor1998 grand cherrokee is probably twice as heavy as a wrangler . Add wide tires to the wrangler and its not good .
I have has cjs and wranglers , cherrokees .
He had no business towing that big ass boat with that little Jeep.
It appears to me that it went under when he jumped out. Worse thing you can do is take your foot off the brake. With your foot off the brake you are relying on just the rear axle. Not sure if it would have saved it or not. Sorry for their loss.
Not sure if that would've made a difference. His front wheels were locked and were sliding.
Great channel and commentator!👍
Fred, you missed out on two on the house Meals🙄😉
No matter where you are, there's always that guy with a Ram dying to pull you out. 😂
Have to love that there is not a person alive that doesn't want to watch a disaster happen. People came from everywhere to watch the jeep go.
Not going to lie, the Family Dollar version of The Tiger King dude that walked right on top of it to film it was tacky. You, you filmed from a distance but that guy, he was something else.
It looks like when he jumped out of the jeep, and took his foot off the brake... is when it really started to roll back into the water.
Of course think about it. What holds a vehicle once the rw have 0 traction are tge front brakes. Once you release it you hypotgecally have it in neutral until it regains traction.
Sorry but no common sense was used in this case
@@antonioprado8068 Unless by chance this was all planned maybe ?

You love for your chit show you know you do
I didn't see any tires turn... with a load like that I definitely would be in 4LOW
If u will watch the jeep while it’s going in the water them
Tires are turning not slipping
@@Michael2u nope. No tires turn. The only action I seen is the bubbles from the exhaust.
Do you think you can say " BRO " more ???
Alfred, you need to help that dude bring his Jeep back to life. You did it for the Verado bro. 🤣🤣
Umm. If it wasn't his fault, yeah. But the tow rating on that 2 door is 2000 lbs. Bigger wheels, less than that. That rig was probably well over 5k.
I'm all for helping out but....
@@Bubbles99718 I Agree. I used to have a Jeep of that vintage. 2005. Those ragtop Jeeps are light, flimsy, and weak. Mine had a 4 cylinder and was a stick shift.
It's not all the way...
Thor Ragnorak.
"If the foundation is good you can rebuild."
Boom.
"Oh well."
some ramps are extra slick, even with a rough textured concrete finish
When he got out and let off the brakes that when he lost the fight
Yep. If he stayed on them until help arrived, they could have got a strap and another vehicle, or chocks, or something...
You can't fake how stupid every decision he made that day was..
Winner winner chicken dinner! Not setting his brake was a huge mistake! But then the second you feel yourself rolling back wouldn't you slam your emergency brake and your emergency brake?
@@ashleighelizabeth5916 Hi. The technical problem is that the emergency brake is for the rear wheels only. And if the rear tires are being lifted and floating, only your foot on the brake - this is - applying only the front brakes- then..... those front tires are the only thing that will keep you from sliding further back. Don't take your foot of the brake!!!!!! The front tries that is. Hopefully this isn't too confusing.
Wrong, he lost the fight when he failed to un-hook the bow eye winch cable before backing down the ramp. Then when it doesnt float off, he backs down farther!
the speaker box floats LOL
Never recover using the tow ball. I've seen it gone flying back with all of that tension.
And how many people do you suppose ,know that . ?
this film quality is a bit better than Miami boat ramps but Miami boat ramps did catch the guy fall and a wider angle of the incident , i still like both channels

Slimy ramp, low tide…. Chit happens!!
The Jeep episode showed the 12 stages of grief and dumbass all within a couple minutes.
Yo Alfred, your video of the Jeep sinking is the BEST ONE on the web!!! 😀
Those jeeps do not have a big towing capacity. Maybe 4k? I think he needs a bigger tow vehicle
Now he will after insurance claim
2000 lbs for a 2 door JK.
This was a TJ... 1000 lbs if it's a 2.4L, or 2000 lbs if it's 4.0L.

Dad spun the back tires 1 time at 15th st ramp in FT L puling out the boat. He took his 2 wheel drive 1500 to the dealer traded it in and bought a 2500 z71 4 wheel with a Duramax. 4 wheel low on the ramp at all times.
Never get in what is known as the kill zone. Glad Fred wasn’t around
Honestly, this is what insurance is for. Wifey jumped into action right away and was on point. Poor daughter was crushed though.
His tires weren’t even spinning! He had to have been in neutral!
