Those days when Arab colonized north Africa and Asia, they copied all kinds of science books into Arabic. They forced people to convert into Islam. His family were in Spain for awhile before their move to Tunisia.
They came from and are ETHNICALLY from Yemen. So he is actually Yemeni.
I am from Yemen as well and there’s nothing to be proud about in that.

Ibn Khaldoun is Tunisian, born in Tunisia, and graduated from Zaytouna University, Tunisia, the first university in the world
You can’t place a name on him. Ethnically he was Yemeni. His family was from Yemen but they had immigrated to Spain where they resided and THEN they moved to Tunisia where he was born.

Its simple he is a muslim and Muslims are told by the Quran to be patient since life is a test and that everything that happens is a test from allah and that no matter what happens we must always be patient and thankful to allah since this whole life is a test so we should expect difficulties as much as we would expect ease since we are unlike Westerners who would just become depressed and would even curse god. No offence to westerners though i am just being honest with my observations.
