Thank you for mentioning the privacy issue which OnePlus has solved with the 7 Pro. Unfortunately not too many other tech TH-camrs have noticed this, but I feel way more comfortable now knowing that my front facing camera is hidden rather than staring at me all the time. This is a big plus for a motorized camera that is often overlooked. Great video by the way.

@@teddybear9426 man I'll be honest. At first the size will bother you a little because of how used to iPhones we are, I felt uncomfortable the first week. But after that I started to love it! I even took a look back at my iPhone to compare them, and after comparing them, the iPhone screen felt too small lol, and I didn't like the iPhone size anymore. Same thing about the curved ages. You will maybe not like it at first, but with time your learn that it's for best and youll love it. My friend went with the Galaxy 10s plus and that thing feels like a brick compared to my 7 Pro 😊. So hell yeah man, don't be afraid to try the 7 Pro, it's an amazing phone and I don't regret it a bit, I don't miss my iPhone a bit.
Just remember you gotta learn to love the 7 Pro, and to find the apps that will fit your style best. One example would be the Android mail app. That thing is garbage compared to Apple's, but luckily, I found the one one from Microsoft and it's just as good as Apple's. I got my OnePlus 7 Pro Almond last week and I love it!! This phone is without a doubt a real joy to use. The screen is the best I've seeing. No notches, hole punches getting on the way when viewing content. I like the fact it has dual SIM so you can use it on a CDMA and GSM carrier without issues. The fingerprint scanner and pop up camera are my favorite features. Sometimes the fingerprint scanner doesn't work so the face to unlock takes over and unlocks the phone automatically. This is the way the Pixel should be. If this phone would have wireless charging, a headphone jack with a quad dac with 5G, then game over!!

  • @jonathanhidalgo4591
    @jonathanhidalgo4591 5 ปีที่แล้ว +12

Sorry Jaime, I recently checked out this phone in person and while I agree for the most part. We also need to address the fact that it's a BIG phone. It has a great screen, blistering performance, simple and handy UI but for me it's really not practical. A bigger phone means hard handling issues and eventually more likely to break and need for repairs. I got a Galaxy S10e for $550 new after rebates and feel like it's the sweet spot right now. Really wish OnePlus would make a smaller version of this phone, or make the regular OE 7 notchless with same screen, and I would be all in.

I have this wonderful flagship phone. I love it but now I need to clarify and correct something you actually said in the video. I am a professional cinematographer and I purposely bought the phone to vlog and live stream in 4k. The camera is a great camera. There is no camera better than this in my opinion. The problem is not the cameras it uses. The problem lies in the camera software. I use Filmic Pro and my rear cameras (all three) as well as my front selfie camera can record in 4k. (24p, 30p and 60p). When you install Filmic Pro on this phone, the pictures come to life. So much that when I use the 48mp camera, you can't tell the difference if it was shot with a professional $4000 camera or this incredible cell phone. Hope this helps and clarifies the phones short comings.

I haven't been disappointed in the choice either. The beautiful screen on this phone and the fluidity of it's operation really pull you in. But I am on board with your comments about Android navigation being needed on this device. And I do wish that it would update to Android 10. Other than that I'm glad I went this route. And especially with the bargain they were giving in December for $150 off on the mid-tier OnePlus 7 Pro it was a deal I couldn't not take.

Don't fall for the hype around 7pro. I got mine 2 days back based on these youtubers reviews.. and I'm regretting my decision. Go for S10 plus that's the best device and best value for what it offers.. 7pro camera sucks.. read through comments of 7pro users, they are looking for Google camera app to be able to use the camera! It's that bad. It actually is. And you will never get the confidence of using device near water..

Beautiful family Jaime, I truly wanted to like the OnePlus 7 pro, I ordered the device two separate times and ended up returning it twice. I found myself missing the additional features offered by other devices such as the Galaxy Lineup, an example is the wireless charging option. Having already invested in purchasing several wireless chargers for my house and for my travels, I found the lack of it to be a step back. Nevertheless, the 7 pro is a dang good value if you can overlook the missing features others offer. One thing to keep in in mind, other flagship OEMs have already started discounting their devices putting them in direct price match with the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Nah I don't agree. Overall it's a pretty damn good phone but there's certainly more cons then you spoke about. For one, the battery life isn't that great, usually it will last me whole day under moderate use but it's nothing to blow one away. Camera is okay, the colors on my old s8 I felt were more vibrant. I think I'd say shooting on my s8 from what I can recall was a better experience for me. Two or my biggest pet peeves with my OP7 Pro is the brightness and no notification light. It's tremendously annoying when everyone is saying how great this display is.. yeah it's pretty good but on a sunny day you can forget about how great it is cause it's honestly a struggle to see what the hell you're looking at. Again my reference is my old s8 and in comparison my old s8 is leaps and bounds better with brightness. Also, not being able to see if I have a notification without awakening my phone is soooo annoying. Oh and those shortcuts like V for flashlight as I have mine and circle for camera... Yeah apparently they love going on constantly when I'm just on the phone so those are super frustrating. Overall, damn good overall phone for the money. Is it THAT great and 'better' than the upper tier flagships... Meh, I don't thing so. Better value, maybe. Better overall, no.

I went from a Pixel XL to an S8+, to a OnePlus 6, to a OnePlus 6T & now I upgraded to the OnePlus 7 Pro & absolutely LOVE it!!! With the Warp charge, 50% in 20 mins, but 100% in roughly 45 mins, makes wireless charging pointless. I live on my phone & heavy use it all day & I'm only having to charge once a day. The IP rating is just a certification, the phone exceeds the actual specs, they just didn't waste the money on the certification too keep the price down (yes, there are TH-cam videos of a OnePlus 7 Pro with it's selfie camera up, fully submerged in a bowl of water & it works fine!). It's crazy fast & the screen is gorgeous! I haven't found anything that I dislike about it yet! I'm also so glad the freaking notches are finally gone!!! I've been dreaming of a full screen phone with slightly curved edges & no notches, drops and/or punch holes! Also the dual speakers sound incredible, massive improvement over the previous single versions...

I agree with you on your statement. I have had the S10+, iPhone XR( which the screen isn't great); LG's, etc. I am pretty sure I'm going back to the Samsung. Let me explain. The One Plus 7 Pro looks good on paper, but once you get passed the screen, it doesn't offer a lot. I guess some people like that it doesn't have a lot of unnecessary software, and I like that too, but it's missing some basics. Why doesn't it have a headphone jack? Why isn't there an official music player ? Why don't they have their own icons, or messaging platform, other than using the plain Goggle one ? And if you think the hardware is superior, you're wrong! The screen is nowhere near the brightness of the Samsung in sunlight ( counts a lot !) . I have connection issues with the phone (2nd one); where it doesn't like to send of receive calls at times. And other times it'll answer but you can't hear the other person and vice versa. This mainly happens when WiFi calling is being used, but it also happens when you're not on WiFi at all. It also likes to switch to other Bluetooth devices. For example; when I'm leaving my car , it will switch to my smartwatch speaker instead of my phone. I've also been on the One Plus forum and other users are having the same issue. And for this price, it should have wireless charging and sorted software. I won't even get started on how bad the camera is compared to the competition. The front facing isn't bad at all, but use the selfie camera in any light... and watch how bad it washed out almost everything.

Exynos version is not that good as snapdragon I get it but it's not that much behinnd and again the difference between speed is almost negligible
S10 Plus all the way am just waiting for note 10 launch so I can buy S10 plus further cheap 🤪

The IP Rating - Won't matter, it's splash proof anyways
Expandable storage - I doubt that you will fill all of that 256gb
Headphone jack - Get an adapter
Secure selfie camera - It already is
Wireless charging is pretty useless if you can get your phone to full battery in under 90 minutes with wire.
Also, you can notice the speed difference with naked eye, you just haven't experienced it yourself.

@@nocounterplay I had experienced it that's why I am saying
And the thing is your argument is pretty much obvious kind of that just shut your eyes so no one will see you as well
Dude world does not work like that, any how the price of 256 is 3200 AED And the freedom of swapping storage cards is always good and handy.
Any how the speed that you are saying is visible by naked eye is the refresh rate of the screen for the sacrifice of battery life
Any how again I am saying it from experience and right now when note 10 is at the corner it will be way more sensible to buy S10 plus as it will be further tailored in price IMHO
One plus well who cares Chinese brand that could be banned by a stupid president while farting 😡

I recently decided between the Huawei P30 Pro, Samsung GS10+ and the OP 7 Pro. And since the prices are basically almost the same right now it was really hard to choose since all have great features! Really glad I went with Sammy although a 90Hz screen and Oxygen OS could have been nice.

It's a good phone but it's not a flagship or flagship "killer." The selfie camera washes out the background with any type of light., and there have been a few of us with connection issues. The phone doesn't like making calls at times; switches to other Bluetooth devices without asking, and it will also go directly to speaker phone when you try to answer a simple call..and other times , it simply refuses to make a call. Please don't get me started on the WIFI calling. Anyway, I'm on my second One Plus Pro and can't wait to go back to the S10+. The S10 may have a hole cutout, but this is where I find the S10+ worth it. It's funny how you mention this display being SO good but it doesn't compare to the Samsung at all in direct sunlight. The NITS are a lot lower, meaning it's not nearly as bright in direct sunlight. Not even close. This phone is cheap for a reason. And yet you somehow leave out the great deals on the Samsungs. I'll agree, the hardware feels great on this phone, but the software lags in every aspect. It's a least a generation behind in camera software, and it doesn't mind showing its face.

I had this phone for 2 months. Pros are brutal performance and fast charge. Cons are battery inconsistent, from 9 hours of screen on time to 3 in a month. Also, my hands would hurt, waaaaaaaaaaay to big. It was horrible wielding it around. But ultimately, where it went wrong is screen cracking from sudden temperature change. No drops, just cracked. So I’m out of $750.
