Notes:
NOTE: This vehicle has an immobilizer system that needs to be bypassed when adding remote start. Use DEI part number 555U. *1 The body ECU is attach to the top of the fusebox. *2 The igniter is on the driver side strut tower. *3 The driver door trigger is RED / green, front passenger door is RED / black, rear doors is RED / white. *4 The alarm module is above the drivers kick panel. *5 The ABS and traction ECU is above the drivers kick panel. *6 The amplifier is above the passenger kick panel. The left rear woofer wires are BLACK/ white - yellow/red. The right rear woofer wires are RED / white - WHITE/ blue. *7 This is the ignition key sense wire. Using the status output wire from the remote start to ground this wire will disarm the alarm without unlocking the doors.

Bought a similar harness and ended up just taking it back for the TYTO after hours of trouble shooting. Cool way to bypass the amp if your on a budget

I tried this set up with amp bypass harness that plugs in to oem amp plug and it powers on but no sound and on the actual radio plug doesn’t get constant power to the plug that is why I used that amp bypass plug but I absolutely can’t get no sound
All you had to do was spice a capacitor in betweenn the radio and factory amp remote to feed the expected voltage to it.

i like older radio simple heck i want a slider eq and knobs a good crimp/plugs dins is better than a solder joint on wiring
Hi did you re plug the connector back into factory amp after splicing into speaker wiring. Ive just tried the exact install running my own wires and cant get any sound out.
Also did you need to cut anything behind headunit itself or just power cables and ground for new head unit.

What I did is connected each speaker to the radio and that’s the only way you can make it work on 01.

@@RandomGuyV743 I just got an 01. Why not just run fresh speaker wire to the output plug is the amp, since those run right to the speakers themselves?
And then run it like he did in the video, to your wiring harness you used for your aftermarket deck

You said you cut the red and white wire but which other ones did you cut from the amp connector (for the speakers)
ah, ok, i had to rewatch the video. sorry i really don't go into the exact details.... well noted for future videos... From what i can remember , the wires in the that harnes are twisted in pairs.... the twisted pairs are the speaker wires and i use that tone tool to figure out where they go . LF SPEAKER|pink - purple
| RF SPEAKER|lt. green - blue
| LR SPEAKER|black - yellow
| RR SPEAKER|red - white
