My buddy Nick lost that same nut on top of the motor mount! crazy, I didn't realize it was such a common problem. I just rechecked the torque on mine as im going though the car completely right now. Anyways, great driving, way to use the whole track. This is such a fun looking track, wish we were closer so we could cut some laps together!
There are a few S2000 performance shops that are typically at these track days. One of those shops carries all the hardware that exists on an S2000 in case anything happens.
Hi I was hoping you might be able to help me out, I have a 2006 S2000 that I recently took to the track. It keeps blowing a fuse #16 each time I push the car on the straightaways. Please PM if you can help. I can give you more details late. I've been following your channel for a while and love the DIY information and track perspective.
Thanks Jeff! The main reason I rely so much on trail braking as opposed to turning in more aggressively is because the car understeers with the 225s up front. This is especially bad after heavy braking zones like at turn 2 so I’ve adapted my driving style to do this.
@@DIYGuysvideo I had a friend do the motor mounts on my '02 S2K and I lost that exact nut as well when I was running at VIR. We didn't have torque specs available at the time, so I'm chalking that up to not tightening it enough.
Damn, brave man to keep pushing it

Mhm... throw some nordlocks on it maybe?
I just replaced the same nut on the motor mount myself. It came off at VIR
Thanks NAUS. Who knows maybe we can meet at COTA one day.
I can hear that tracks sweet sweet music from my house
That was pretty random and lucky for u someone had an extra S2000 motor mount nut laying around lol...

nice driving! that track looks fun as hell
Thanks. Hard to capture the intensity on camera
Awesome job the last session. Commitment!
Thanks!

Unfortunately I don’t really know anything about the electrical systems or fuses. I would suggest posting on s2ki under the hood section. Good luck.
Nice lap. I'd try turning the wheel with a little more force (harder) to rotate the car more into the corner.

DIYGuys totally get it. Looking fast!
Do you think you forgot to tighten or is this an S2000 "common problem"?
I don’t think it’s a common problem. I replaced the motor mounts a couple years ago and I probably didn’t torque the nut tight enough.

You are scooting !
For ap1 year 2000 what obo 2 would you recommend with a iPhone
I’m guessing you’re asking about a Bluetooth OBD2 reader? I’m not sure I use an old wired scanner.
What is that green flashing light on your gauge cluster?
Max power light which is on the club racer.
Goof driving. But entry could be slightly wider
Told you, 46's were possible!
Actually did a 45 last time! 43s are probably possible with the right tires.
@@DIYGuysvideo Probably a square setup?
Still on stock S2000 CR damper?
Brian Ang See the description. Still all stock. I think 43s are possible without a square setup. With a square setup I could probably get into 41/42s.
Curious. What's your wheel/tire setup?
See description. Basically stock staggered setup on 10 track day old Hankook RS4s.
@@DIYGuysvideo Thanks for the quick response. You're killing it out there dude!
