I think officially you have become a legend josh. A standard for a longboarder on youtube. You bridged the gap into the main stream. Your influence will be infinite, your energy forever. I hope your family knows, it may not matter to them, but your short time here will be resounding for decades.

We all have our passions in life. As for me don’t think I would ever attempt something like this. Downhill boarding at these speeds. Man that’s crazy. Also, heard of the tragic news and prayers and condolences to family and friends, RIP. Hope you are with God now and happy and at peace wherever that is. John 3:16
I’ve managed to top out at 33mph on my board. I can’t imagine what it would feel like to hit the speeds you do. Edit: 52 mph. Speed wobbles and adrenaline hit like a truck, likewise with anything else at 52 mph. I started on top of that hill as fool, and came to the bottom as a religious fool.
Same around 30 is my top speed on a longboard. I got up to 28 on a mountainboard being skitched by a golf cart and that felt super stable. I feel like I could reasonably ride one at 35-40 without much difficulty but that’s pretty obvious with the big ass wheels and wide trucks
Thank you so much for this video! I haven't been able to bomb a mountain in a long time. Your skill is tops man! Nothing beats the feeling you get when flying downhill on a board.
thank you so much for these videos ! ive watched your raw runs and im stunned and moved at the same time by the epicness of the athmosphere ! be always safe and keep doing what frees you !
Dude, that was nuts. I've been over 50 on a skateboard, but it was perfectly straight,no traffic and a long runout. This was next freaking level. I'm definitely subscribing!
Definitely an inspiration to start bombing hills. As a Texan whose only experience is garages and a couple tiny hills in Austin, I now live in Colorado Springs. It seems a lotta bit overwhelming. Nice run, dude! I definitely like the speedometer.
What a spectacular flawless beautiful run. Such a joy to watch you on that board Josh. You've spoiled me for watching anyone else. Youre just amazing!!!!
2:03 from 50 to 20 in around 20 feet. that's some impressive braking power for such tiny wheels. I wonder if an engineer could do some math on that 🤔🤷🏼♂️😎👍
It's like -6m/s^2 or 0.6g's, also it's even more impressive considering the purple Kevin Reimer wheels I assume he's using have almost no breaking power
@@konan8353 Jeez. I'd love to see braking performance comparisons with magnums, alphas, and other super grippy wheels. My green kevos stop fast, but then when I put on the 76mm cannies it gets even crazier. I can't even imagine modern race wheels.
W0W Josh. Simply awesome. I've watched every sec. of every video you've on your channel & I can clearly say this is the best you have long boarded (By no way I mean to say your previous long boardings were less awesome. But I don't know why this time your long boarding skill felt really awesome. May be the speedometer on the side influenced my brain to compare & feel the speed in real life feeling the adrenaline & adventure as you accelerated on the straights & braked sliding around the turns). From start to finish absolutely flawless. Even on the part where I felt you wobbled & might crash, your recovery (what I felt) was awesome. Just brilliant. Loved it. Keep going broda. As always stay safe. Cheers 🍻
This looks like some of the best damn asphalt you can come across as a skater/skateboarder. Beautiful!
