- Honda Highness CB350 has most areas that are upto the mark. The only pain point in the Honda Hness is the Headlight of the CB350. In my previous Video on the Honda Highness headlight I had mentioned about the adjustment inside the Headlight dome. This time around I have gone one step ahead and showing what is inside the headlight dome of the Honda Highness CB350.

If the LED sealed unit has its own driver, you cant.
I purchase honda cb350rs few days ago, I am using honda activa 3g 110cc 2013 model in excellent condition. My local mechanic install led 55 watt in activa last year and I realy happy with 55 watt headlight. But I am not satisfied with cb350rs headlight. Can I install same 55 watt in RS.
hello, i wanted to ask if the MINUS headlight that we see in most modified RE bikes, can be fitted into the cb350? Will it have any impact on the battery usage as i use my bike only for daily commute and not long highway rides.

Tnks for the info... I tried to open up the headlight assembly, but couldn't detach the headlight wire socket, its very firm, how should i open it? Is they any clip or lock i should know?

Spinning the adjuster nut brings down the driving beam? Or both passing and driving beams?
On the cb , the passing beam or the pseudo high beam basically overlaps with the driving beam. Wish they could be adjusted seperately.
Raj good info about aux cable....once you install a suitable aux lts on your bike do share the brand and the cost factor.

Hi Raaj, nice video. One doubt, is it possible to slide the indicator holders upwards so that the indicators come in level with the headlight to give sort of a RD350 look? I've not seen the bike yet hence asking. Thx

About the indicator position, no it cannot be changed as the main bolts that holds the indicator is fixed in the steering clamp. Near the bottom pinch bolts of the steering.

Like Replacing the whole headlight and installing halogen lights like royal enfield.

A 7" HL regular halogen seal beam can surely be fit inside the dome, but like you mentioned, it will demand too much from the 6AH battery. Over that the Tata batteries are already showing its worth (being worthless). Need to see if an good 8AH battery (Amaron) can be fit inside the battery box or not, this along with a On/Off switch for the HL should the trick.
But for now the best option to mitigate the poor beam is with good AUX fog lamps.

Yes buddy, you can use this as LED uses very little power. But just one correction. The RX100 has a 2.5A stock battery and need to be fitted with a 4A minimum due to the size of the battery box, beyond 4A battery becomes difficult. Just ensure that the HL is not switched On when engine is not running.

No buddy, in the current beam we can't use Halogen bulbs as it's a complete LED board type assy.

Hi Shibananda, These are LED SMD panels. The bulbs cannot be replaced. There are SMDs that needs to be replaced if it gets fused.
Just a question, H7 or H4 , which bulb will be required to change the existing LED bulbs of headlight section? Thinking of replacing with a "NighEye" brand's LED bulb as existing one in Highness is inefficient.
No buddy. These is not a conventional H4 or H7 setup. This is series of LEDs on circuit board setup. You can go for Vaishnu projector headlight. I have covered the review in one of my other videos.
Actually we need headlight , front indicator and tail lamp on off facilities to be installed on cb 350 , can you post wiring diagram of cb350

Does the Alternator produce enough current to keep the main headlamp and auxiliary lights on continuously ?
The headlight draws power from the battery. Also the auxiliary lamps are taking power directly from DC socket. After installing I tried the bike for 300 kms night ride with the battery health display 'ON' in the instrument console and didn't find any drop in battery voltage. So the alternator is supplying sufficient charging power to the battery as long as the engine is running.

Are there 2 bulbs or only 1 bulb inside? What is the holder type?
What is the thickness of wire? If it supports 3 amps, thinking we can put in a 36w bulb used in car headligjts
Hi Sunil, The headlight assembly is a sealed one(though openable) There are series of SMDs (surface mounted diode) placed on a circuit board and has a 6 pin socket taking various wires inside the Headlight circuit. This cannot be replaced with a H4 P43 type bulb used in cars and bikes.

You can get a 2 pin socket from spares shop for this buddy.. show them the male connector as sample.

Can you please clarify;
1) is the hiness sound within legal decible limit?
2) is it permitted to ride a bike without crash guard? How can Honda sell a bike without one 🤔
Thanks for your kind words of appreciation.
Answer to question 1: Yes, it is within the permissible 80db limit for 2 wheelers(though I have not done a fool proof process of testing the NVH but did a very layman test and it stands at ~75db).
2) As crash guard is an OE 'accessory' riding and selling a bike without a crash guard is ok as against a myth that one cannot register the bike without a crash guard.

Like the drl minus headlight?
Yes, with a 7" seal beam it can be, but the battery won't take load of a halogen bulb and will lead to frequent down time. A larger Amp battery won't fit in the box and even if one fits with some fight, the charging system is not designed to accommodate higher amps battery and will good 60-70 kms of daily running to keep the battery charged properly.

Hello, is there any problem if I swap the headlight of Yamaha FZ X with Honda Highness CB350
As long as it fixes in the place of the CB headlight, there should be no problem. Also check the wattage and overall size of the FZ headlight. As per my observation it is smaller in diameter and may not look good..

If you are in Kerala, God save you as a rider. But if you are from any other state, no one cares and honestly these guys are not so Pro to understand such changes. HL is not an extra accessories and so swapping it with other legitimate vehicle product is not an issue as per MVA..
Is it possible to install headlight on/off switch without cutting any wires ? Can you make a video of the same if possible.
It is possible to fit a switch, but not without tampering the OE. Also modification of fitting a switch for headlights for BS4 and above 2 wheelers is an offense coz as per the CMVR headlights of these two wheelers should work as DRL for safety reasons. Will certainly void Insurance too.

@@RajkaGarage it's better to install separate very low wattage drl ring on head lamp . Light setups draws large power fork tiny 6 ah battery . In India very few bikes and cars have active drl any way . Non of larger vehicle have drl. Many traffic police even don't know such law exists and why should police worry absence of drl in bumper traffic . Hinghness drl is fancy item and nothing else.
Can I start this bike when I'm not in neutral gear? I mean when I'm in 1st or 2nd gear?

Yes sir, you can surely start the bike in 1st or 2nd gear with the clutch ON.

No buddy, the aux socket is a 2.8mm 2 pin socket.

How much the headlights cost ,and how is the performance? I use a different bike ( xpulse ) and it has worst headlight and in the market there are many headlight with 10-15-20 leds ,but your headlight looks amazing if it performs well would see if I can put it on my bike 👀
No mate, LEDs are often only decent for city riding. Even the Hness Stock HL is useless on Highway. To negate this I have put additional auxiliary lamps on the Hness.

You can surely, but this HL is very bad in terms of performance, much like any LED headlight. Conventional P43T are best for HLs.
Try to figure out how to open swith gear with horn button. Can't move it below indicator, but atleast we can flip it upside down to press it the way we are used to.
No mate, the horn button cannot be flipped as the switch case slot is designed to accommodate the button in an inverted manner. Also the internal assembly has pivoting points that cannot be changed.

I am trying get this ported to an interceptor. I already have purchased the headlight but wiring and pin on Interceptor seems to be different.

Btw, the Interceptor uses a P43T base bulb and hence the sockets is completely different. You will need to make mods to the stock wiring to fit in the Hness socket. Give me some time and I will tell you which pin in the Hness socket are power , Hi/low beam.
From where one can buy the spare parts of honda highness 350 except service centre
Buddy, as of now, all spares will be available only through Bigwing service centre. The bike is new and it will take time for spares to be commonly available.
The lights in Highness are pretty bad (dim), is it legal to add auxilary lights or fog lamps ?
It is not legal and depends on which state you are living in. For e.g in Kerala you will have a nightmare from the cops where even putting a GoPro on the helmet is objectionable. In Maharashtra, we manage to justify the modification, but on a bad day you never know what may happen.

Yes. But you'll need a headlight socket (also which is in New Activa) But it only works in HIGH BEAM & DRL modes. I was told from mechanic that this headlight has only high beam (or driving beam). So there is no LOW BEAM.
Which one will be better cB350 or RS for daily commute
For city daily commute the CB350 is more suitable. The RS has a very broad rear tyre which is going to have impact on the daily usage fuel efficiency and will further need a lot of gear shift for city conditions due to its tall gear ratios.

Yes you can, with some minor alterations to the wiring and socket, but LED headlights are worst in real world experience and given an opportunity I would want to go back to conventional halogen bulb assembly.

The diameter of inner seal beam is almost same. But this LED light is not practical..The Halegon bulb headlights are always useful compared to LEDs.

Can you tell what size of sprocket at the rear?

The front sprocket is 14T and Rear is 35T. But hope you are not planning to alter the rr sprocket with a bigger one.. doing so will have adverse effects on the Torque control mechanism. As the gearbox ratios are calibrated with the final drive ratios.

@@RajkaGarage thanks for the advice. There is still time for me to get the bike. I took the test ride and felt it adequate torque for the city. I am used to the NS 200 for last last 7 years. So I am used to changing gears more frequently. Only on the highway, it will be convenient to have slightly more torque available by gearing lower.

Hi Nirmal, can you please explain what do you mean by SS.. are you referring to the dome to be like a RE or Jawa dome made up of SS. Then my answer is, no as the design is a simple one and I haven't seen any metal dome similar to what we have in the Hness.

Yes maybe some Aftermarket options Will need to explored. The original CB had the same plastic dome kinda HL.. so maybe Honda wanted to retain the same.
