How to use the Windows clipboard

- With the Windows 10 clipboard, you can copy multiple images and text at one time. The clipboard previously held one item, but now the clipboard holds 25 items.
You can even copy items from one PC to another with a cloud-based clipboard. To access your clipboard history at any time, press Windows logo key + V.

Thanks so much, I found a couple of explanations online of how the clipboard works, but both bypassed the question of how to actually evoke it, which would be the first thing you need to do. So this was most helpful.

I would add that by default the clipboard history setting is "Off." Before anything you covered can be done, you must first turn it on.

That would be a nice feature. Right now, I have to scroll. I couldn't find a way to resize it.

I clicked the windows logo and V and nothing happened - still just looking at your video.
Click *Start* and type in *clipboard* . See if you see *Clipboard Settings* . Maybe it is not turned on.
When I left click on a clipboard item the window with the items just disappears!
Windows clipboard and the screen snip tool are a perfect example of how out of touch Microsoft is. How do you tell items apart with the stupid little image from the clipboard without opening another program and pasting them one by one, looking for the correct image? This is what happens when you throw an army of programmers at, what should be an intuitive and simple task. The screen snip tool should have option to save to screenshots folder instead of lame, dinky image, clipboard. Then I can use details pane (with larger image) to review and delete unwanted instead of opening a paint program or whatever! After 35 years of using Microsoft products, I can assure you, they still don't get it! Amazing!

true, I did the scrfeenshot , now its gone away, yes you can retrieve with +v then you pin it now I cant upload it, its not in desktop or pictures, where is it on the pc, so stupid
I have design saved to clipboard but can't figure out how to load to desktop for use in design space for print and cut tks
yk that theres a version history in google docs, if you just copy paste it'll show as it's just pasted, but if you use Undetectable AI's human typer, it makes it seem manually written

I know! I had a friend that laughed at me when I told him I was doing a video on the clipboard. Then he called me later and told me he had no clue about the 25 items and you can pin items.
Is there any way the size of the clipboard can be changed to display more? Currently 3 and a bit items are displayed, so one has to scroll a long way to get the items say 20 items back.

I have my Clipboard history turned ON in the Clipboard setting. I have multiple things copied in the clipboard and when I click Start + V, I see only the list of white space (blank). There is no content or preview of copied information showing. Any advice?
once you pin after +V how do you upload the file? its not on desktop, pictures, where the hell is it , help?

ive never used this feature and after watching your video i still dont know how to use it, when i click on the item saved in clipboard it simply disappears . what is this ord document you refer to i ve never used word document how dio i get it wher is it or why is it .??? when giving instructions u should keep in mind that the person you are instructing doesnt know all the things you do so you have to make sure you keep that in mind .. but you not any different than he rest they "assume " i know what a ord document i have always steered clear of microsoft office i only use notepad I dont know how to open a word doc or if you use the same one or many different ones but its mute because like i said when i click on the saved "CLIPPING" it just disappears

Would be a nice feature but not possible with the Windows clipboard. You can do that with the MS Office clipboard.

How do I SAVE an image from the Clipboard? If I do a Screenshot, if I don't Save the image immediately, I can see it on the Clipboard but I cannot Save it in pictures.
You need to open up a picture app and save it. For example, if you have an image on the clipboard, open Paint, as an example, and paste it. Now Save it. Even better, do Windows SHIFT S and capture the image and save it.
I hate how pinned clipboard is at the bottom

wasn't there a time when you could copy and paste 2 or more different "items" by using a shortcuts like Str+V+(F)1/(F)2 ?? something like that? around windows 95 ?? you had to know/remember which "item" was Nr 1 and which was Nr 2. I never used it so I only remember it from school.

That would be a nice feature, but you can't. Now, if you are using MS Office, you can use the office clipboard and you can there, but not with the Windows clipboard.
