The art and quality of printing are so much better than what we get nowadays. I miss old magic. This is the set I started playing with. So much childhood nostalgia!
😍😍😍OMG i love Mirage so much,my second set ever going into Mtg,still one of my favorite ever, the art the colprs the flavour! Best basic lands ever! Such a powerful and fun set! Thanks so much Dan! Not the best value but e awesome RL rare cards! Awesome!
Also, on starter decks, the gold foil strip is high up on the box, like in this video. US print has the strip lower down, maybe a third down on the box. US prints are darker too.
I remember opening a 'super' starter pack as a kid - all the lands were rares. I got a Lion's Eye in it too, but back then it wasn't considered to be much (at least in my groups). So much fun, Forsaken Wastes and Volcanic Dragon were my favs!
Mirage! It was the first set release I remember when I started playing. I had Ice age cards but their release event stuff had already passed. I remember getting an InQuest magazine with a preview card in it. I believe it was either Wildfire Emissary or Pacifism. Also, this set has some of my favorite basic land picture in all of Magic. Good times. Also, that deck looks correct... I remember it having the gold pull string to get the plastic off.
I cant recall which is which, but there were 2 printings of Mirage starters from Belgium and the US. One is loose in the box and the other is sealed like this
Also each printing was different in terms of color, one was lighter and more washed out. It made collecting a complete set that is consistent difficult.
I remember buying a bunch of Mirage and ended up with a playset of Lion's Eye Diamonds, but back in the day I couldn't figure out how it was even a useful card!!!
Brother, you really need some to take your time when reading these card names... As much as I love your content I can't help to get frustrated every time you butcher a card!
Best basic lands ever.
So true!
I agree with you! Personally, I dislike the forests, but the other lands have the best arts ever.
@@marciodemeo4731The forests are the best!
Seriously. That double moon swamp is top notch.
God, this is so nostalgic...still remember opening my own Mirage starters at the local game shop when I was in middle school.

All I wanted was a Hammer of Bogardan when I was a kid. Great opening!

Man, it's the first starter deck I got my hands on,I simply adore the lands from this set, thanks for that.
Sealed is printed in Belgium. The USA printed are loose.

Wizards really nailed the color on Mirage. Love the rich colors.
Cool. I'd never seen Vigilant Martyr before. It's the original Selfless Savior!
The artwork on Urborg Panther reminds me of one of the Hymn to Tourach versions.

In Europe we got the stuff printed in Belgium, and these have the inner seal. Also the english ones.

Gotta love the Zebra Plains!
Mirage lands are awesome, love the islands and swamps too
I bought those for $40 back in 2016.

Love these openings
Oh no! What's with the bandage man. Much love and thanks for the mirage!
Yeah these packs where child proof dude xDD Great opening and thank you for the memories !
First Magic product I ever bought.
Love Mirage . . And I still see it!! 😁💎
Nice opening, just used your link again for more Arabian nights goodies!
All I can think about is how annoyed I would be to have opened a Lion's Eye Diamond when this set was new.
I still play with mirage lands to this day because I think they are so cool
Great channel!! Loved Mirage
Loved mirage
Every time I went to open some Mirage back in the day, it disappeared.
Love the openings! I watched a lot of them lately, gives me so much nostalgia and peace of mind.
3x reserved list hit, excellent hehe!
Love playing sealed with mirage
Back when the card design and art were still good.
Congratulations, you still got 3 RL cards
Good opening!
Mirage pre-release was the last one I went to as a child, and when I sold my first collection. The pre-releases back then were such a vibe.
Just in time for my lunch break
Yeeeeeesh... This one was rough.
I always get my Duelist
This video is a Mirage. You saw nothing.
0:45 And thus starts the greatest schism in MtG history: does a tool assisted opening count as open boosters? (I say yes!)
Dude open the damn box already

You not see so good?
He's dyslexic, how do you not get it? Cut him some slack.
I really wish they would reprint the mirage fetch lands in a canon set. Modern sorely needs a budget alternative to fetch lands.
