    OMG Perhaps I could have understood the explanation with a degree in wireless technology.
    The young man delivering the message spoke very clearly especially with ESL but technically the message was too difficult for the average wireless user.

    so if i buy a locked device and insert the sim card from that carrier, but from a different device. The devicei bough will fully function? with no issues?(Pls dont bash me im just trying to get a complete understanding of this)

      Yes just find out what carrier it is locked to and use it through that carrier.

      Yes you can use phone it will work fine but update will get unsuccessful

    I still had to trust the apple unlocking process and reactivation process, so glad it worked for my iPhone 12 pro..

    Locked and blacklisted phone is the same or what is the difference?

      Blacklisted phone means it was reported lost, stolen or has an unpaid balance on th ephone meaning the phone will remain locked until bill is paid in full or the original owner reclaims there lost or stolen phone and provides proof it is there device to there wireless carrier.

    In India the phones sold to us never come with unlocked and unlocked term. But still we can use any sim cards in India so is it unlocked or something else. I mean ehat term is relevant for those phones?

      I think you have to unlock it to use the sim card of that country. US plan either does not work there or it is very expensive due to roaming charges.

    I want to buy this phone off Ebay. "Samsung Galaxy Note 8 N950U 64GB GSM Unlocked Smartphone AT&T T-Mobile Verizon" Does that mean I can get any prepay SIM card at the store and use it in this phone? Any help would be appreciated. I don't want to pay hundreds of dollars for a phone only to find out I can't use it.

      I believe it would have to be a GSM Carrier Network and you would still have to subscribe to a GSM carrier plan (most do not require signing a contract) but still BE CAREFUL!

      watermelon 4ever you can still text, but calling does not work and unless your paying a plan with the sim carrier you will not have any service when out and about and not being connected to a WiFi source.👍
