That first Solanke goal has finally come back to me - rebound from Porro shot 😆 what did you make of the game and can Ange’s Spurs go all the way in the Carabao Cup?
I had to go and sit in a dark room on my own for a couple of hours after that game 😂 Great result. Tom, Ange looked really happy afterwards, very cheerful. Think that win really impressed him as the young squad players finally played Angeball. We have struggled when we haven't had our first team choices, so to see this lot play and hold on to the win, think made Ange's season thus far.
That was the darndest game I think i've ever seen. This beleaguered and patched together team showed tremendous character to dig big Fraser out of a potential existential crisis.
Tom, thank you again. Just listened to Ange's interview and one thing stood out. Do you notice that he manevouvres discussions away from the players and makes sure that he becomes they focus. Listen to commentators like Carragher and Redknapp, all the focus is on Ange. He really does look after his players. Brilliant stuff.
A lovely clear headed and sensible summary of a mad game. A win is a win!! And, as tense as the end was, it was still highly entertaining. Into a semi final. Go Big Ange and the team. COYS!!!! 👏👏👏
I’m so tired of every pundit angling every single thing at Postacoglou’s style. He’s clearly now just taking the piss out of you all with the one-eyed half-arsed punditry from people who understand nothing about team dynamics. Forster was kicking it long ffs. Seriously the world gets stupider every day
Hiya 👋 Tom , I’m jealous you got to watch that live mate. You seem to be doing well your channel is growing. Keep up the good work. I’ve shared your channel with my spurs what’s app group 👍
Australian sporting teams, if you're in the shit...dig yourselves out of it. If youre getting hit, hit back harder. If youre going to lose the game, win the pissup after it. I see that in Ange and Spurs fans should embrace it.
Good constructive assessment of the game , no meltdown analysis . Tottenham is great for the media as it never stops giving , not so good for the sanity ( if they have any ) of the supporters . One thing that frustrates me is that the players are playing like robots without using common sense . Sometimes you have to clear the ball not just tip tap . Which they actually did after conceding two goals !!!
You must really be enjoying covering Spurs Tom. Plenty to talk and write about. Ange gives plenty in the press conferences to the press pool with opportunity for quite a number of questions to him in the most part.
In a weirrd way, I think this game might give us even more confidence going into the semis in Jan. To say that Spurs are battle-tested in this Cup would be an understatement.
😆 yes I get a lot of this. I very much enjoy covering them and want them to do well. But I grew up supporting Newcastle, despite the lack of Geordie accent
If we had lost from a winning, position, think both the team and fans would have been shattered for a time to come. But the team did not buckle, so the reverse might be true, we might believe and take belief into the Liverpool game, nothing to add or disagree with in your commentary first class, other than his first goal was a beautiful classic strike lean and mean from a difficult angle..
Why do keepers and defence engage in risky passes near goal, instead of clearing the ball out of danger? Is this technique advocated in modern football training?

Not surprised, was a stressful time for all involved!
Supporting Spurs has always been a bit of a roller coaster ride…….. Thing is, it’s getting faster and wilder……. Hell yeah, bring it on……..⚽️🐓
It certainly has
Crazy game, I've aged 10 years. Worried for Forster, he's gonna feel under pressure every game now..
That was the darndest game I think i've ever seen. This beleaguered and patched together team showed tremendous character to dig big Fraser out of a potential existential crisis.
They certainly did
Angeball genuinely made you forget a goal! Best Spurs pundit by a country mile although the Hotspur Hippy ain’t half bad! Keep up the good work!
I’ve just got home (back at Spurs in 10 hours for Ange presser 🤪) and I still can’t picture his first goal 🤣
Now it’s come back to me, the rebound from Porro’s shot 🤣

My pleasure. Yep I have started to notice it. Apart from that time with Werner…

Glad you enjoyed it!

@@rickinrio I love how Big Ange just winds them up
Nice recap Tom
Thanks very much!
Take out Foster spurs were great outplayed themselves could have been another 5_0 scoreline ange ball is the best ball 👍 😉 👏 👌 😀 😎 👍 😉 👏 👌 😀 😎 👍
When it works, it’s terrific
@@TomBarclayjournalist The more they practise it, the more it will work
Good to hear a neutral perspective. Nice work mate. That was stressful all the way from Melb town 😬 Forster will learn from this 🙏
Im from Wollongong
Hope you managed to enjoy it!
O my god Frazer Foster gifted them 2 goals . Ange says entertaining thats heart attack time..
Hiya 👋 Tom ,
I’m jealous you got to watch that live mate. You seem to be doing well your channel is growing. Keep up the good work. I’ve shared your channel with my spurs what’s app group 👍
Thanks so much! Seems to be getting there, slowly but surely!
@ you’re doing it brilliantly. So if you enjoy doing kindly proceed sir 🫡 !
Best wishes of the season 🎄 from 🇧🇪 🍻 🍫 😃
Very kind, I do, enjoy your Christmas!
That was just a crazy game, Fraser Forster had a few moments of craziness
Yup

😆 I like that. Something we’re not used to in England

Thanks very much. Yeah that’s often a criticism of modern-day football generally (re robots)

Yup, it’s great fun
If Joe Heart can do it Foster can those mistakes were on him. He's been good
I reckon he's earnt some point since he's replaced vicario no more though 😅
He has been good, but last night was pretty amazing!
In a weirrd way, I think this game might give us even more confidence going into the semis in Jan. To say that Spurs are battle-tested in this Cup would be an understatement.
Could do!
Fraser needs the ball early in the Liverpool game
It can't get any worse for foster the worst is over have faith
Surely he can’t have another game like that
Enjoying the videos . Can’t believe you are not a Spurs supporter
Who do you support out of interest
😆 yes I get a lot of this. I very much enjoy covering them and want them to do well. But I grew up supporting Newcastle, despite the lack of Geordie accent
@@TomBarclayjournalistcould be interesting for you if they both make the cup final.
They kicked 7 goals in a row until the 2 from Forster which don't really count/

I’m guessing yes it is
Well, no doubt we can score goals... even when we've had enough scoring for ourselves, we start scoring for the opposition!!
Yeah straight after the commentators curse 😂
😆
4-2 against Chelsea
Not entertaining throwing away a 3 goal lead.
That wasn't easy viewing. It was deja vu and predictable at the same time
*the game, that is - not this video! Thanks as always, Tom.
🤣 no worries
