Mikey Moore from the bench scores? What is the status of Will Lankshear?

The bad vibes come from the failure to play attacking football - fans were happy to overlook losses when the team played that buccaneering style, as it was great entertainment - but I don't think anyone expected this collapse into toothlessness; it seems the plan is now to gum the opponents into submission - slowly. It's a hard watch, especially given the price rises on the tickets. Is Daniel getting twitchy? I very much doubt it - he's been here before many times, and as long as Ange toes the line and gives him support, it will be reciprocated. But if this malaise continues, things will start to turn ugly for Ange, whose instinct is to double down on his contrarian statements. He'll go out on his shield if he has to. I think you're right - he needs a statement win, and he needs it ASAP - preferably accompanied by a Solanke master class. Thanks for the broadcasts, Tom. Much enjoying being here in the early days of what is sure to become required viewing.

- Definitely agree that it’s too early to judge Solanke given his injury and the small sample size. That being said, his performances have been worrying thus far. My preferred target this summer was Gyökeres, and he’s been smashing it this season. Obviously no guarantees that would translate to the Premier League, but I maintain he is a better player than Solanke. - Richarlison‘s injuries and lack of availability is so frustrating, especially for how expensive he cost. I thought he should’ve been sold in the summer, but it sounds like the player didn’t want to leave. If he can’t stay fit, he needs to go. - Glad Werner is okay, but his performance this season has been nothing short of shocking. I honestly believe we are better off giving Mikey Moore minutes off the bench in place of Werner. You can argue that he’s not experienced enough, but if he’s good enough at 17 to train with the first team, he’s good enough to come off the bench and make an impact. Werner is a known quantity, and giving Moore a chance will surely get a lot of the fans who are questioning Ange back on side. - I still have full faith in Ange despite the lack of convincing results. The rebuild was always going to take time. I think we are finally starting to feel Harry Kane’s absence in front of goal. Last year we coped well enough, but the honeymoon period is over. - My starting 11 vs Brentford: Vicario, Udogie, VDV, Romero, Porro, Bentancur, Kulu, Maddison, Son, Solanke, Johnson

The players look devoid of confidence, ideas and that they have lost belief in the manager. That performance was a disgrace, slow, lacking creativity and we stole a win. Ange is snappy with the press and looks like he doesn't want to be there We have seen this so many times before with Manager's under Enic, the beginning of the end

New to the channel. Great content and background to the press conference journalists who sometimes get a bad reputation due to repetitive questions. This guy if different. Tom is one of the guys who asks the clever questions and gets the best out of Ange. Plus the videos don’t include his latest holiday or what his dog had for breakfast. COYSX!

Yep we still got gaps in squad quality, however, we have played well in other games TY and not got results. This game we got the result. So let’s just back the Ange and players to kick on. In respect of DJed can the EL (prior commencement) squad be changed due to injury of Odebert and/or Werner? Otherwise thanks Tom love your reviews.

I will be very interested to see whether Ange picks a strong side against Coventry to try and play us into form. A lot of our “starters” are lacking confidence, especially in the final third. I’m eager to see some of the youngsters like Gray, Bergvall, and Moore. Hopefully it’s more of a mix so we don’t risk another Fulham debacle. COYS 🤍

This channel should have way more views, one of the better things to come out of this season so far. You probably need to be tweaking your keywords and titles Tom, as I dont think the TH-cam algorithm understands what your videos are so isn't recommending them to peoppe who usually interact with Spurs content

Multi-tasking, level 💯😁

Not for the first time I completely disagree with Buckland, changes are exactly what we need. Increasingly I feel like how successful this season ends up is going to hinge on at least one of these youngsters getting a chance and taking it like Kane did in the EL or Dele did back in the day. I do think things will get worse before they get better and the weak minded will become increasingly mutinous, but I am unwavering in my belief that we're on the right track with the right manager.

Utter frustration, and what a surprise, a set piece. Ange getting upset at the questions we are asking of his team at defending corners, but it's a problem. 100% they are important, and Romero was p*ss poor weak on this occasion. Coventry will be licking their lips coming up against the Spurs defence.

Takeaways: - Romero has been responsible for several key goals conceded in the first four weeks. If he doesn't improve, Dragusin deserves to come in and have a go. It would send a message to the dressing room that everyone is droppable if you don't perform. - Our wingers continue to be ineffective. A system built around possession, creating chances, and clinical finishing is bound to fail when we can't score goals. Especially when we can't keep clean sheets, a philosophy of "just score more than the opponent and the defending won't matter" will fail. - We keep hearing how excited the coaching staff is with Gray and Bergvall, but they haven't been given the chance to play. What is the point of bringing in talented youngsters over proven quality if you don't give them a chance? On that note, what was the point of re-signing Timo Werner? I used to think it was a no-brainer to bring him back, but he's been woeful in every cameo thus far. I'd rather see Mikey Moore get an opportunity considering he's our future.

Knowing Ange's sense of humour, I wouldn't be surprised if he calls you out on that Bissouma mishap when you least expect it in a later press conference 😂.

With respect of the fact that the guys had god awful luck in the past 2 years, I don't see a player here with the sort of charachter that Ange has brought in. This incident, the bottle throwing and the Jackie Chan impression he did on the bench last year arent what you expect from a senior player who should be an example in a young group. Hes brought on against Newcastle and the first thing he does is get the stupidest yellow card - which was a hallmark of his Juve days when he was a hothead and liability. I also think hes a liability with the ball unless hes got a lot of a space in front of him, he repeatedly turns the ball over when hes facing his own goal. Ill support him while hes in our colours but I hope theyre making calls about his availability next year

Thanks for these late pre-season thoughts Tom. It's a shame he picked up that tight hammy (so many Ange hammy's, feels like something an investigative journo might follow up with a 1st season under Ange spotlight) Could have used him at Newcastle with the 2 senior boys out. Any news on those 2?

Really enjoying these vids Tom, for other Spurs out there get onto hearing The Tottenham Way Pods. Tom sounds like getting close on moving Reggie, Gil and Manor, leaving just either Devine, Forster or Whiteman. Does this mean maybe surprise signings of say a keeper and DCM to close out an excellent transfer period???

Really enjoying these vids Tom, hope they continue throughout the season.

Last season we had about 9/10 fit players in the squad at any given time that weren't scared of the football and a gaping hole at centre forward. This window we've plugged the gaping hole and increased the pool of capable players to about 17. I think in an ideal world Ange would have loved to replace Forster, Davies, Biss, Richy and Bentancur with players more in his image but the club has done well with outgoings to be fair. Another season of progress and growth from these youngsters and replacing the other 5 next year with one or two players with some stardust and I think we are set up really well for the long term

Nice video Tom. Having watched all the summer pre-season games and being at the stadium last Saturday I'm more concerned about the senior players than the younger ones. In every pre-season game we looked better in the second half when we brought the younger players on, I really hope that changes and was just about fitness. Solanke is my first choice striker from the pool we had available and think he'll do really well in this team. The defenders were all player of the season material, yet we leaked goals and that no.6 role is so important. Gray and Bergvall have been a breath of fresh air and I'm confident they'll play their way into the team quickly. Feel we need 2-4 more players for the squad CB, LB, DM, Winger but I guess we may need to wait for those. I'm most definitely a glass half full supporter and want them to do well. Hope we get some good early performances to silence some of the moaners. Keep the videos coming..... Thanks Steve

What is the feeling in the media room about what spending Spurs do have left. Is it based on sales of players like Reggy, Bentancur/Lo Celso, any of our home grown u21 league winners?
