John deserves to be saved 100% yes but Micah!? what the hell were you thinking brother!? F what Dutch said you should have ignored him and kept getting drunk with Lennyyyyyyy!!! in valentine
"Arthur saved my life! More than once!"- John, to Micah on Mount Hagen. I think that line is very important because up until John said that line, Dutch was under the impression that John and Sadie fought their way up to Mount Hagen because they got wind that Dutch and Micah had the Blackwater money. That's why Dutch replied, "Same as you, I suppose" when John asked him what he was doing there. They were both there for the money. But John never mentioned the money. He mentioned Arthur. That's when Dutch put two and two together and realized that John and Sadie were there to avenge Arthur's death...Dutch was so eaten up with guilt that he thought "Fuck it" and shot Micah...then he holstered his weapon as a test. If John was after the money he'd have shot Dutch then and there and in Dutch's mind if he died right then and there so be it. But instead John shot up Micah for good measure and didn't shoot Dutch.. At that point Dutch was so eaten up with guilt that he couldn't even say anything to John and just left him the money because he deserved it more. At least that's how I interpreted that business.
Arthur Morgan’s character development made him one of the best rockstar protagonists. At first he was a ruthless outlaw that didn’t care about anybody except the gang and towards the end of the game when he got what most people know he got and saw things clearly and wanted to help everybody he could.
One of the best video game protagonists of all time. That’s the definition of redemption my friend, that’s what this game was so much better than the the first, John’s redemption was just killing his old gang and to be with his family again. Arthur’s redemption was being a horrible person at first but realising it that’s he’s wronged so he redeems himself towards the end and trying to help folk and die knowing he did some good in the world
@@IndoJordy also you forgot the mission where arthur and John plant dynamite on the train tracks and he moves the cart away,if arthur was any slower john would have already been dead before the final mission as arthur
John Marston must have broken a mirror prior to Red Dead Redemption 2, because if you look at the events of the story, that poor bastard has had more bad luck and more life-threatening occurrences than almost anyone else in the entire gang. The only one who had it worse really was Arthur, getting diagnosed with tuberculosis, which then was incurable. Trivia note: Arthur Morgan died of tuberculosis at the age of 36, which was the exact same age the historical Doc Holliday died, from the same illness, in either 1887 or 1888, I cannot remember the exact year.
Did you know at the end of the main story ,if Dutch never Stepped on Arthurs hand when he was about to grab the gun ,he would of killed Micah and John wouldnt be tracked down by mr ross
I like how Arthur saves and helps John at some of the most pivotal moments in the story, and how Arthur’s mood changes each time he saves him. First he’s reluctant, and finally it’s his first priority. I love this game!
4:54 the only officer in the game I cared about also to make Arthur's death sadder he honestly couldn't push further without having a fatal heart attack or something like that and holding john back
0:39 I love the original RDR whistle here. I’ve seen people complain about the soundtrack and how that it’s not very “western,” but that’s cause the characters aren’t exactly in the west. However, they still take added this whistle in to acknowledge that you, this is still John Marston.
3:24 Dutch implies that he isnt a "Dutch van der Linde " while Leviticus Cornwall hasn't mentioned 'Dutch' and only said 'van der Linde', I love how Dutch made a mistake there
I remember when I saved John as arthur the first time in the game I went back to colter and heard John's voice thanking arthur when he saved him from the wolves i was glad that arthur was on John's side until he died 😭😭😭
Arthur’s character arc near the end of the game made him realize he wasn’t just an outlaw and that he was capable of good and he tried helping as many people as possible even though he would never truly be redeemed by the law.
people talk about how much arthur changes throughout the game but dutch also goes through a massive development from being a leader to a criminal to rethinking life and regretting what happened to arthur but i haven’t played the first game so i don’t know what happens to dutch after that
Damn seeing that mission with javier makes me miss him he was such a let down after chapter 3 like he wasn’t on any missions and talking to him felt like talking to a school bully
This video reminded me how much of a great campaign rdr2 had. Everything to the areas, side quests and Easter eggs, the story and especially the characters. Arthur Morgan was an incredible, understandable, and over all great protagonist. The antagonist, Micah, was so well made, we all hated Micah and that’s why he was such a good character. I love this game, I’m sure you do too. Have a nice day or night
@Wavybone Andretti he's says that he will be always being loyal to Dutch he just keeping is promess and i can understand that you can hate Javier (i hate Javier in rdr1)i think you've got a lot of reason but without the Chp.6 you can't says that Javier is disloyal
@Wavybone Andretti he was being loyal to the man that gave him food and shelter (Dutch) there for he will always be loyal to the man that gave him a chance
Dutch and Arthur toasting to Arthur’s health after talking about Strauss, and then Cornwall showing up and the shoot out happening; it just summarizes the entire story in one mission. Great mission
I finished the game with Author having 50% honor and every decision I made I felt was the right one with Author. John wanted to be there for his family so I raised the honor in the epilogue
Me, first time playing RDR2: "Who's this guy??? I want to play as John!" Me playing as John after Arthur dies: "I WANT ARTHUR BACK." Both have their good qualities, but Arthur is funny, kind hearted (depending on honor), and not gonna lie he's handsome. I'd like to play as Charles, Dutch, or Sadie, though.
The Adler woman would have went on authors side too if she was there the Adler woman even said she trusted author over everyone else in the gang well author and probably john
Sadie there’s no doubt she’d be on authors side in the end even she probably didn’t like the rat Micah anyway there’s no once she’d chose to side with but author and John
This is my opinion but the RDR games are superior to the GTA games. GTA was good, but RDR imo is written so much better, has more likable characters, and it's much more of a humble type of game.
I’ll always prefer John to Arthur, And it pains me to think that Arthur is The reason John Lives. They kind of presented John as a bit... weak in this game imo, but It is what it is.
