That confirms that Micah was the rat. And just look at how Micah interacts with the gang. He's constantly antagonizing and harassing everyone in the gang. He even killed Cain the Dog for no fucking reason.

Charles does have brute strength but he never shows much skill in fighting, just look at his prize fight in the epilogue. He just strikes randomly. Real fighters could easily use his momentum against him, such as Arthur who beats Tommy and gives him brain damage. Micah would be most intimidating in terms of a gunfight, he kills three people while barely looking during “a short walk through a pretty town”.

I think Rockstar portrayed that fight quite realistically. And again, the fact itself that Charles used to make money by fighting professionaly says a lot. He is an excellent gunslinger after all, the best of all, and in real life no way an excellent gunslinger can be an excellent hand to hand fighter, you just can't be great at two totally different skills. Bill was right to be paranoid about a rat, and could see it even when some of the smarter gang members could not, but was so far off the mark at the same time. Every aspect of Bill's story has a tragic irony to it, and it makes him such an interesting character despite having relatively little screentime. And that exchange in the outro haha
Daniel J. Sharpe Agreed. I feel like because he’s a minor character in RDR2, it’s easy for people to miss how tragic the story of Marion “Bill” Williamson really was. He got to a point where he couldn’t even think for himself. All he ever had was blind loyalty to Dutch after Dutch lifted him up. No one else believed in him and we was just the big, dumb idiot of the group.
Its Dobbie I still don’t know why Rockstar chose to make Bill and Javier minor characters. They were former friends of John Marston that he had to hunt down in RDR1, they deserve more screen time than this.

This game has such attention to detail in its characters, even in this minor interaction. 0:48 When Bill acusses Charles, notice how he turns slightly to face Bill and steps an inch closer while staring him down. This subtle detail is so congruent with Charle's character; Quiet, kind, and goes out of his way for people, but he still will tear out your spine if he needs to. Studios like Rockstar and many others put so much time, work and passion into these games. Too bad they don't make nearly as much as *coughs* studios that make games based on microtransactions, DLCs pay-to-win, and season pass progression addiction. I hope game developers like these keep existing and get compensated for making masterpieces like these.

This is probably going on when Sean, Lenny, Hosea, and Kieran are dead. I feel they would side with Arthur instead of Micah if they were alive. It was always so sad going back to camp when everyone’s at each other’s throats. Karen is trying to drink herself to death. Everyone hates Ms. Grimshaw because she killed Molly. It was just sad.
Sean hated Micah's guts, Lenny said there'd be a party if Micah died, Hosea didn't trust Micah from the beginning, and Kieran was loyal to Arthur. They absolutely would've all sided with Arthur, John and Charles. Both Callander boys would've too (or at least they sound like the type of men who would've beaten Micah's ass).

Bc in the final mission Abigail gets kidnapped by agent Milton so Sadie and Arthur go to save her and milton grabs sadie when Arthur is on the lighthouse so Arthur goes down to get them and then Milton tells Arthur Micah is the rat also they were tied up and had something over their mouths
Sasha Buckleyxo Because after Arthur saved Abigail, he immediately wanted to get them out of the gang so Jack didn't loose his mother as well as his father (as far as Arthur is aware at this point in time). Jack had already escaped with Tilly, Arthur had no reason to bring Abigail back to camp. He also sent Sadie with her to keep Abigail safe, and probably to protect Sadie as well. She's still in a vicious, destructive part of her grief, and that kind of emotional state could easily be her end if she remained. There's also the fact that Dutch hates Abigail for "turning" John away from him. She and Sadie are on Arthur's and John's side and Dutch hates both men at this point. Staying and speaking up is pointless because Dutch is too far gone to listen. As for Arthur, he was dying anyway, so he went back to convince whoever else there could be that was willing to leave (remember, Grimshaw was still there and she's implied to be with the gang for most of her life, much like Arthur or John, AND she was willing to leave Dutch when Arthur called. He could have gone back for her). Arthur also didn't want to loose anyone else, so I think to him, his life was expendable because he was on death's door anyway. Better he confront Micah and Dutch, because if he dies, well, it was gonna happen anyway, instead of someone else who has a whole life to live. Ofc, his plan is derailed by John's arrival, and from that point on Arthur's sole purpose is to get him out, as it had been for a while then. (Or, if you're playing with bad karma, Arthur just wants to kill Micah himself and make him pay for it/steal the money the gang has stashed at the cave.)
I feel like even if they did say something Dutch, and everyone else who relatively liked Micah wouldn’t believe them. All because Micah had gotten into their heads by now. Dutch would say Abigail was covering for John and they would claim Sadie is just out for Micah.

This game made me like Bill more than John. Yeah Bill was a prick to him, but if John hadn't been striking out on his own, acting all cagey and shit, and generally coming off as untrustworthy, Bill probably would have figured out who the actual rat was and it would have been an even more satisfying end for Micah involving a pair of red hot tongs.

This game has such attention to detail in its characters, even in this minor interaction. 0:48 When Bill acusses Charles, notice how he turns slightly to face Bill and steps an inch closer while staring him down. This subtle detail is so congruent with Charle's character; Quiet, kind, and goes out of his way for people, but he still will tear out your spine if he needs to.
Studios like Rockstar and many others put so much time, work and passion into these games. Too bad they don't make nearly as much as *coughs* studios that make games based on microtransactions, DLCs pay-to-win, and season pass progression addiction. I hope game developers like these keep existing and get compensated for making masterpieces like these.

Sean hated Micah's guts, Lenny said there'd be a party if Micah died, Hosea didn't trust Micah from the beginning, and Kieran was loyal to Arthur. They absolutely would've all sided with Arthur, John and Charles. Both Callander boys would've too (or at least they sound like the type of men who would've beaten Micah's ass).

I think it was more the fact that Charles was there. Bill has bullied Lenny and Kieran who aren't much bigger than John. But Charles is just as big of not bigger than Bill and Charles has confessed to Arthur that Bill always gives him trouble, and Arthur said "Bill doesn't like anyone who can beat him in a fight." So I think Bill would have attacked John had Charles not been there.

Bc in the final mission Abigail gets kidnapped by agent Milton so Sadie and Arthur go to save her and milton grabs sadie when Arthur is on the lighthouse so Arthur goes down to get them and then Milton tells Arthur Micah is the rat also they were tied up and had something over their mouths
Sasha Buckleyxo Because after Arthur saved Abigail, he immediately wanted to get them out of the gang so Jack didn't loose his mother as well as his father (as far as Arthur is aware at this point in time). Jack had already escaped with Tilly, Arthur had no reason to bring Abigail back to camp. He also sent Sadie with her to keep Abigail safe, and probably to protect Sadie as well. She's still in a vicious, destructive part of her grief, and that kind of emotional state could easily be her end if she remained. There's also the fact that Dutch hates Abigail for "turning" John away from him. She and Sadie are on Arthur's and John's side and Dutch hates both men at this point. Staying and speaking up is pointless because Dutch is too far gone to listen.
As for Arthur, he was dying anyway, so he went back to convince whoever else there could be that was willing to leave (remember, Grimshaw was still there and she's implied to be with the gang for most of her life, much like Arthur or John, AND she was willing to leave Dutch when Arthur called. He could have gone back for her). Arthur also didn't want to loose anyone else, so I think to him, his life was expendable because he was on death's door anyway. Better he confront Micah and Dutch, because if he dies, well, it was gonna happen anyway, instead of someone else who has a whole life to live. Ofc, his plan is derailed by John's arrival, and from that point on Arthur's sole purpose is to get him out, as it had been for a while then.
(Or, if you're playing with bad karma, Arthur just wants to kill Micah himself and make him pay for it/steal the money the gang has stashed at the cave.)

I feel like even if they did say something Dutch, and everyone else who relatively liked Micah wouldn’t believe them. All because Micah had gotten into their heads by now. Dutch would say Abigail was covering for John and they would claim Sadie is just out for Micah.
