    On the whole there seems to be a lot more trees and bushes now than a hundred years ago. I'm pleasantly suprised.

    The photograph of trains at Diggle is much later than 1910. At least one of the locomotive tenders is carrying the early British Railways emblem (BR began in 1948), and the coach liveries seem to be "blood and custard" (carmine red and cream) applied from 1949 to 1956.

    Mostly it's transformed for the better apart from the cars that look like litter.
