Oh My God!!!! thank you so much. you are a life saver I needed to make a welcome sign on a mirror. for a bridal shower and they picked out a fancy shmancy font with a flourish thank you so much. Sera
You're welcome Sera! So glad the video helped. What a neat and creative way to decorate for the bridal shower. Best wishes to the couple on their upcoming wedding.
Hi! Thanks for watching and for your comment. I use a scroll wheel mouse when designing. Left-click and drag your mouse over the letter. Hope this helps!
Yes. You would need the Designer Edition or above for this. You can use the character map if you have Basic Edition, but it's not as convenient. I do have a video on that as well. If you are able the upgrades are a great choice. I love my Business Edition, but my first upgrade was to Designer. Swing Design is a great place to go if you are looking to upgrade. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
Hi Tara! Thanks for asking. There is another way that I've created glyphs and I'm working on a video for that, which will be coming out soon. Stay tuned! The glyphs pannel is available to users of Designer Edition, Designer Edition Plus and Business Edition. If your font has glyphs you will be able to find them there.
If you go to your help menu in Silhouette Studio, then to Upgrade Silhouette Studio, you should be able to enter your email, password, and your license key that you got when purchasing your upgrade. If you did all that, I would restart the program and see if that works. www.swingdesign.com/pages/how-to-download-a-silhouette-studio-software-upgrade-code
Sorry, I didn't read that right. Did you purchase an instant code? They not send you an access code. Have you checked your spam folder. I've never had a problem so I'm not sure. Otherwise if you used Swing Design it looks like they have an online chat.
@@SayItWithSimplicity I got the right thing now I needed the designer addition ..... but now when I send to cut it won't let me I ha dot replace the blade I added the rachet blade but when I send. say unavailable I have no idea why I picked the right blade on the program but nothing I'm so lost if you can help please lmk
That is correct. You need to have Designer Edition and above. However, there is a way to do add glyphs using a character map. I do recommend Designer Plus or the Business as there are more features in addition to the font glyphs panel.
What i want to know is why silhouette when you purchase a font that looks like it has those kind of gliphics.... then you buy it and it doesn't come with it. Why or how do you purchase them. Lol its like false advertising!😂🤣
I don't think it's false advertising. If you have Designer Edition and above you should be able to see the special use characters and access them. In other programs you may need to use your character map or font book in Mac. I'm going to share a link that may help. www.creativefabrica.com/the-ultimate-font-guide/pua-encoded-fonts/

I do not have the option to choose glyphs in my fonts. Is there another way to do this?

@@quincyhall3898 On the top left of your tools in the send panel, you should have "no cut" "cut" or "cut edge" Be sure the cut setting is selected.
Please add color to letters so they are more visible on scene.
I'll keep that in mind for future videos. Thank you for watching!
This doesnt work on basic edition 😫
