    I finally went over my planer boards today and adjusted all to these same specs. Been wanting to do this for awhile....they're only 3 years old. lol Thanks, Ryan.

    Huge help. Great video. Just bought these boards and had a heck of a time telling if I had a fish on this weekend. This video educated me on the tattle flag and how to install them once I get them. Thanks again.

    was a great help, I changed the plastic washer to a much smaller one and it seems to work better for me it clears the spring better when a fish hits..Thanks once again for the video

    Very nice video Ryan, appreciate you taking the time to show us a thing or two about proper set up .... and the "why's" of setting them up. Much obliged!

    Oh so your release is the back clip? And it will snap off with a quick jerk? And will the planer drop to the back of the boat without tangling other lines?

    So a fish is on and you begin really it in, when do you take the planer board off thr line?

    Nice video, thanks. I'm new to this and everything was well explained. I will give it a run in a couple weeks at Ft. Peck.

    The only other thing I would suggest is not to put the screw eye in the top of the back the board. Instead drill a new hole near the bottom of the rear of the board. This fixes the issue with the rear of the planner board to sink and the nose to ride to high in the water. The difference is significant. This does not effect the tattle flag action at all. :P. Nice video.

    Hey, Ryan....do you use the OR18 in the front when using braid and mono?

    • @rbud1080
      @rbud1080  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you have to use the OR18 with braid, but I use it with mono as well!

    Hi Ryan
    do you know where I can buy yellow Plans Decks, one left and one right ... as anyone can send to Sweden?
    Maybe there are some second hand?
    With red flags that tell you when it's fish on ;-)
    Ciao Matte

    I just wish hey weren't so expensive. $33 for the board and another $20 or so for the tattle flag. $50 for a piece of plastic and packing foam...
