Hi firdaws. I just gained admission to study in germany. As you know, a blocked account has to be presented as per requirements. This is a challenge for most of us, i.e raising funds. My brother wanted to help me and borrow money so that we can use that as proof of funds and hopefully if visa is granted we can remove the money and return it. But my question is, hope this won't have any negative effect on me since the embassy requires us to have a blocked account of 1 year?

Hi you can’t have access to all the money. It will be given to you in installment for a year. So your brother has to wait for 1 year to get the full amount.
