50 Minute Session with Tangerine Dream
Recorded during the pandemic in July 2020 at Club Lido in Berlin, Germany
Without Audience - Behind Closed Doors
They were and are together with Kraftwerk the German Synthesizer Pioneers.
Their name comes along with their revolution of electronic music in the early 70s and several US blockbuster movie soundtracks like, „Thief“ with James Caan, „The Sorcerer“ with Roy Scheider and many more. 7 Grammy nominations, several awards, and over 70 million sold records made Tangerine Dream a trademark of electronic music!
After 50 successful years, Tangerine Dream seemed to come to an end, when founder and mastermind EDGAR FROESE passed away in early 2015. But even before his death he already had the vision to open a new chapter for the band and began working on a new album with a younger lineup.
THORSTEN QUAESCHNING Musician, a long-term member of TD is now a bandleader and has PAUL FRICK an in the electro scene well-reputated artist next to him. Violinist HOSHIKO YAMANE is completing the line-up.

Paul joined Tangerine Dream officially in July 2020, shortly before that session. So it´s his first session as a Tangerine Dream member. That´s one reason why this session is so unique, the other reason is, that this session was filmed during pandamic...
