    Great video Mark - really interesting seeing the unusual sunken bath / shower.
    We have a new build (2010) and have similar false wall behind toilet and basin to house the soil pipe. Takes up so much room in a fairly small bathroom so may alter it in the future to reclaim some space!
    Our pipework is all pushfit in hidden places. Only copper is where it comes through the wall and attaches to taps etc. Not had any issues with it in 10 years.

    • @MJTiffPlumbing
      @MJTiffPlumbing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate
      Yer these bloody false studding you cover up a soul pipe are so overkill.
      As long as plastic is done correctly and sleeves used etc it’s as good as copper (obviously not to look at)🤣

    Cracking video this one man, don't know if it's because it's a little different or more in line with what I do on the small bathroom side, but really enjoyed this one.
    People are very protective of the way they do bathrooms, I expect a fair few DHC's for us to laugh at from this job.
    I enjoy seeing how others approach things personally though and no 2 bathrooms are the same come the end.

    • @MJTiffPlumbing
      @MJTiffPlumbing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly mate…. Each person thinks the way they do it is the right way, but it’s all about how you work, what you know works for you. We all approach things different….
      The “DHC” may get used at some point but to be fair most of my subscribers are really good, like yourself….. and now if the comment is a complete joke I just remove it and block them. If it’s constructive then I’m all ears and like to here them👍🏼👍🏼
      A lot of people are liking this job, I think it’s because it’s not that bloody barn 🤣🤣

    Another cracking video think I'd be scratching my head thinking about how I do some bits of the job.
    Plastics definitely needed on some jobs no other options.
    Can I ask Mark why you use compression over push-fit on some parts of the plastic.
    You can definitely see the difference over the last 3 week with your detox.
    Keep up the good work can't wait to see the finished job.

    • @MJTiffPlumbing
      @MJTiffPlumbing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Jason… feeling so much better.
      Compression was used on that fitting as it was onto chrome pipe, pushfit doesn’t work on chrome, or at least o don’t trust it due to the coating.

    Hi Mark, I stumbled across your channel and really enjoy your videos! Well done in advance for hitting 10k by Jan 1. I recently re-did my bathroom (I'll be posting the job to my channel shortly), and I used the same shower thermostat as you installed here, and despite painstakingly measuring the amount the controls needed to stick out to allow the knobs to go on, I got it slightly wrong and the grub screw doesn't bite. Do you know if there is a way of re-boring new grub screw holes so I can fit the knobs?

    Great content mark. I love the way you plan out your jobs and how in real world plumbing you may need to change plans as you go along (as in using plastic pipe to allow more flexibility). Hey Mick
      No mate, the whole side of the house is stepped down so this is the only way of having a shower that works and is usable, hence why the bath was sunk in the first place. The ceiling of the shower area is direct to the roof joists….. very strange set up
