    Hello everyone! I wanted to add something important here, that I missed to mention in the video and that can cause some confusion.
    The "mirror" option only enables you to mirror edits on edit points and moving the hair on the mesh.
    But when it comes to the actual altering of the Hair parameters, inculding thickness and width, you have to do that for each strand individually.
    That's why I talk about the Duplicate-Flip option so much and you can see me doing all of that in the video too. :)
    If you got any questions, feel free to ask and if you want to have more Vroid Studio 1.0 Tutorials, let me know here in the comments about it!

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shangomilk1581 Awn, I am so sad that I only find your comments now.
      If you talk about the mesh itself, then that is easy . It's the first edit option you get, before even drawing anything on.
      There are various edit points that you can use on the mesh and dragging the around will give you different shapes.
      Usually once you figure out how that works in general, all you need is an idea of what the mesh could look like, to help your hair strands into the desired shape. :)

    The current version of vroid forces the horns and hair to be the same color. How do I separate the colors? To say, make the horns purple, and the hair red?

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Great question!
      Create a new material for the horns and assign this material, with the new color, to the horns.
      If the horns have a texture, you can load that on there too.
      (it's a customization option)
      I am actually working on a video about hair textures atm, especially when it comes to colors.
      Should be out tomorrow :)
      That would show you how to do all that.
      Will probably use your question as one of the shown examples, to make the use of it clearer.
      (that it doesn't only work for hair, but everything else, that's made out of 'hair')
      But I hope that helped you for now. :)

    Nice video! Also I have a question, how can you put a face mask on Vroid?

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The best way would probably be to buy a ready made asset (or if you skilled with blender, make it yourself) and attach that using Unity.
      I have a tutorial here that is called Tails & Accessories, that shows it at the end.
      (I am using a headset as an example, but you could use the same technique to attach a facemask or basically whatever else you want )
      I hope that helped! Have a wonderful day :)

    So I made the horns but I’m unable to put the hair on without the horns disappearing then the bangs when I put the horns on, do I need to just make the bangs with the horns?

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok, so here is a tip about Vroid Studio:
      You probably know that Vroid has a bunch of different "Hair categories".
      Not all of these are combinable with each other.
      So you either have to create the horns in a combinable category or you create them in the same category as you did for example the bangs (but then you can't usethe hair on any other model, without the bangs together (which means the spot for "front" would be already taken.))
      Combinable categories are for example:
      "extra", "sides", "ahoge".
      Overall hair is never "really" a good category to use atm, because it will replace anything you did in "Front" and "Back".
      So you either create a whole hairstyle there from scratch or you ignore the category.
      Once you figure out, which categories are combinable, you can see which would be the best for your project.
      (Remember that if you use one of the categories to create horns for example, you can't use anything of the defaults of this category anymore.
      I hope that helps a bit. :)

    Is there any animal tails in the new vroid?

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Vroid studio by itself doesn't offer tails yet (I hope soon)
      These would also require you to do a bit of extra work atm...while you can create tails the same as horns, with the hair workaround, they won't be attached to the body.
      Here is a tutorial that shows you, what you have to do in Unity after, to get the tail attached to the body:

    i have a cow oc so i did the first one but more on the sides the horns stretch and go down and messing with the bounce settings either makes it worse or wont do anything do you know a way to fix this or am i just screwed?

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should try to delete any bone group that is on the horns atm. (the bounce setting for the horns can't contain any bone group)
      Because for horns, we want them to be firm/not moving.
      Let me know if that fixed your issue :)

      Hello! Yes, since Horns are basically hair, you can follow this tutorial here:

      Depends from where the hair/horns originated from (Beta version or Stable version)

    can you make a tutorial for elf ears?

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Elf ears make already part of Vroid Stable version.
      If you look under the skin options (I believe, would have to look it up as well) you will find sliders for the ears as well.
      These will give you great elf ears, without much effort at all.
      So you don't have to create them from scratch, like the horns :)

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is possible!
      You would use a similar technique as shown here in the video and draw the wings on a hair layer.
      After that, you have to attach them to the back, using Unity. :)

  • @Jazz-rc7qw
    @Jazz-rc7qw 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How do u make wings such as insect wings in vroid? Im tryin to make bee wings ;v;🐝🐝🐝

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To make wings, the concept is, to draw the wings on the hair layer too.
      It's an optional illusion only and will look a bit like your Avatar is wearing a cheap costume.
      While I could totally teach people how to do the Vroid Studio part, I sadly wouldn't be able to teach the part that requires Unity after, to attach these to the body of your avatar.
      So the best I can do for you is to link you to this tutorial, where someone did butterfly wings.
      Just instead of the butterfly wings, you would draw bee wings and import these.
      It should be fairly easy actually. :D

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! Yes, since you are using the "front" part for the antlers, you would have to create a fringe either there too or you could create the antlers in another category, like "extra" which would make it combinable with everything else. :)

    Does anyone know if the horns will “flow” like hair or if it will be rigid? How would I change that if need be?

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Horns can "flow" like hair, if you add bones to them (which can be done in Vroid).
      If you want them to be like "solid", just don't add any bones. :)

    but can u combine preset hair styles with horns?

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You probably mean, that if you have a hairstyle already, can you add these horns too.
      The short answer is:
      That depends of, where the hair presets were created.
      Let's say an old preset, from the beta version, which is saved under "overall hairstyle" - no, as any overall hairstyle overwrites any of the other hair categories (like 'front' or 'extension')
      BUT if you created everything in the new version and let's say, created your horns in the front and the rest of the hair under any other category, besides "overall hairstyle", - Yes, then you can combine.
      That's why it's smart to use these new layer options as best as possible.
      And even if you have a preset under 'overall hairstyle', nothing stops you from creating a pair of horns right there too.
      If you save it under a new item after, you would have the preset one time with horns, and one time without.
      Since the next video will also be about hair, I think I will mention this there too, to make it clearer and talk about all the combination options that we have available now :)

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I see,. That is really weird.
      Since you can see in the video, that I also have that problem in the beginning, but usually the green mesh shows up, after selecting the freehand group.
      I also had huge lags after recording the video and it took forever for the green mesh to show up later.
      So sometimes you have to wait a bit.
      Did you already try to add a new freehand group?
      Maybe that could be a possible workaround, if the waiting game didn't solve it for you.
      I had to wait over a minute sometimes.
      Try to shut down all other programs in the background too, so your PC has all the possible processing power available.
      Let me know if it worked. :)
