Love it when scopes go down to 9 meters. It means that I can practice indoors with my outdoor setup. It is good training when you make the target really small. I have espresso spoons the size of a 1 cent piece.
Well Andy, I gotta give it to you, even bringing us reviews when you're on vacation... That's dedication! Thanks, always looking out for my lazy friday to start with AAR on air.
Nice scope at a good price, I may well put this on my next rifle, I can never understand why people pay silly money for a scope on a sub 12 when your range is only out to 40 yards.
@@Jayt750 Useful hunting range at sub12, which is most of my shooting, is out to 40m but I shoot gongs out to 60, 70 and 80 m for practise. So long as your scope holds zero it doesn't matter how much it cost. I've been out-shot at 45m by a guy using iron sights.

Skeggy looks sunny at this time of year 🤣. Just listening to that I am a fairly simple shooter with just a Gamo kit, that I use for everything with a basic scope . What might be worth using your skills on communicating , is the various types of scopes , and where and how you would use them,. A basic guide in effect. I have been a fair way back, and I dont think I have seen one, but if there is one there, I am sure that someone will put me right . For me a AAR is a manadatory watch on a Friday morning over breakfast., these a very good.
Absolutely. Since Schmidt & Bender stopped making their 6x42 fixed mags there don't seem to be many alternatives. Obviously that was in a different league but it would be nice to have some cheaper options.
10x is too much for hunting/pest control because it exaggerates shake which can make you snatch the trigger. The best hunting scope I've ever had was a Tasco 4 x 32. It had great glass so it was good in low light and gave a clear image, which is really all you need.
Nice little compact scope but not compact on utility types. BTW Andy, any chance you're covering the Rainson Elite X and Wild pcp rifles in the future? 🤔 😉
I use a 10x44 MTC Viper Pro on my HW97, it's all you need out to 30~35m. This looks like a great scope for people starting on a budget, it has a nicely uncluttered ret too. You really do not need anything more than 10x on a sub-12 ft lb air rifle and the lack of zoom gets you a lot of extra clarity and excellent depth of field.
Great review, as always, Andy!!! Love hearing about budget & light weight scopes for my lower priced varmint guns. Keeps me focused on what's important🤠👍
Purchased one of these from vector air, absolutely outstanding I actually prefer it to my MTC viper connect.if they come back into stock I'll be getting another one at that price 👍🏼
Thanks for this video. It's all very well watching gun reviews but the gun isn't complete without a scope. I wouldn't want to buy a fantastic gun and then have no idea what scope to put on it so more holiday videos please Andy 😂
Been awhile. But you've done me again. A lot of my gun collection was based on your reviews. I have scaled right down to 2 pcps and a few CO2 pistols. I watched this and immediately ordered for my Mito. I'm thinking it'll replace the Cerato I have.
I've got the 3-12x44 SFP (SCOM-24) version and it is indeed a great scope for the money. There's little between the 10x and the 3-12x as the former is only 10g lighter and at 10x mag the latter, in all likelihood, has the same FOV; listed as being 8.7ft at 12x mag so quite likely much the same FOV at 10x? And there's only a tenner in it at the moment...
sir, how does the Hawke Vantage 3-9x40 AO compare to this one? I don't know much about scopes, I saw one of your old videos about scopes, and you had talked about the Hawke.

Damn, I just bought a scope for my new Gamo replay 10x . I wanted one that had mil adjustment knobs for windage and hight. And mil dots in the graticule. But the cheapest scopes that had that function where over 500 euro, well outside my budget. I do not care about the zoom because I only want to use my Gamo for long distance shooting (50 to 100m)

Great video. Slighty off the topic of this but, i am just wondering if you have any experience with the TX gas ram models by trimex. the TXGO4 to be exact. In both calibers as i am torn between the 2, and the Crosman Shockwave nitro piston in .22. I am just getting into air rifles and these are seeming like the 2 models that i am leaning towards. Any advice would be appreciated.

@AAROnair I've just ordered and the mounts didn't get refunded. It's only a tenner and I'm hoping to use my one piece bkl mount but still disappointing that they don't simply include them as standard to avoid confusion.
Hi there and I’m sorry to bother you with a ”silly”question. I’ve just started shooting airguns and I seem to have a problem. When I’m shooting at targets I aim for the exact center of the target. The target is 25 meters away. The impact of the pellets or the slugs is about 5-7centimeters to the left of the target. I am a little worried that I’m turning the vidageturret the wrong way. If the impact is to the left of the center, should I turn the turret to the left or the right? I’m sorry for the question and the poor language, but since I’m from Sweden my English could be better😢. By the way thanks for a serious channel with lots of interesting information.
Your turrets are normally marked telling you which way to turn to move left or right, (or up or down). The thing to remember is the markings are used to adjust the Point of Impact (POI - where the pellet hits) towards the Point of Aim (POA). If ,(as you say), your POI is to the LEFT of your aim point, you need to turn the windage turret in the direction marked RIGHT until your POI matches your POA. Hope that made sense!
