      In the video you say that you were a Hawke Scope kinda guy, most rifle reviews i've seen lately feature Vector Continentals, have you been fully converted? I've got a Hawke Airmax at the mo, just ordered a new Brocock and a Veyron 6-24x44 IR to go with it, so just wondered which side of the line you now sit on!

    I've recently bought myself the Veyron 6-24x44 to fit on my Walther Reign bullpup. Comparing side by side with a Hawke Vantage SF 6-24x44 on one of my other rifles, both at full magnification, I would have to say that the Hawke is just that bit sharper image. Still more than happy with the Veyron at it's price point and with all the additional features.

    I've got the Vector Taurus 3-18x50mm. It's the best scope I've ever owned in 45 years of shooting!
    I've had various Hawke scopes, MTC scopes and even the Bushnell Legend which I thought was the best scope optics wise before I purchased this Vector scope.
    Hats off to Vector for such quality at such a reasonable price and thanks to Andy for bringing them to my attention!

    Love my Veyron scopes 4-16 x 44 FFP fitted to Springers HW97 and AA Pro Sport. The shorter length means that the loading port on both these rifles is not obstructed. Crystal clear and silky smooth to operate. Only 2 very minor moans 1) included mounts are Picatinny, would be nice to have the option of dovetail. 2) I need the diopter screwed a long way out for my eyes to focus the reticle which prevents the flip up cap fitting properly on the ocular end, an extra few milimeters of plastic in the mould would have fixed that problem.

    Thanks for the heads-up on this product.
    I made the 50 mile round trip from my corner of Nottingham to visit Vector Air. I wanted to view the scope before purchase. (I am a pensioner with a "buy right, buy once" budget). I bought the Veyron 6-24 FFP scope. Just sighting in at the range tonight. Fellow shooters who looked all thought it clear at x24. I am tuning an Air Arms TX200 for club paper target competitions.
    The scope appears ideal for my purposes. Just be aware that the distance from the eyepiece to the turret is very short but the eye relief is pretty standard. You may need offset scope mounts to get the eyepiece close enough, depending on your rail dimensions. If you shoot an Air Arms TX200 then look no further than the BKL-302-MB mounts which work perfectly for me. (Hope that helps.)

    Enjoyable and informative as always. These are now my favorite scopes, vector. I am a target shooter, mainly Benchrest. The Sentinel X is sick good and was designed specifically for 25 meter competition, though I use it out to 100 yards. My new favorite is the Minotaur. It too is SFP but again, I’m shooting 100 yard targets. They are so exceptional that my good friend sold his Hawke for this one. That said it all.

    I have the 3-12x44 FFP good scope nice and compact for the bullpup and light enough to put on the BSA ultra I hoping to get for my dad soon as he is in need of a lighter set up to keep shooting comfortably. The only issue is with my eyes around 6x and lower the mil dashes get a bit thin for my eyes to pick up depending on light conditions. I have a couple of other Vector Optics scopes and really like the 10x44 marksman, although it does not get as much use now after picking up a second Optisan EVX 10x44 second had recently but it is still on a gun just not one of my gotos.

    • @dawiddadun3044
      @dawiddadun3044 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I bought the 4-16x44 for my lad a few months back to go on his ultra. Traded it in last week for the reason you mention....the reticle is too fine. Another problem was eye relief. Because its so short there's very little room for the mounts on the scope & we couldn't sit the scope far enough back on the scoperail. A reach-back mount would sort that problem but I don't know of any manufacturer that makes one for the 13mms bsa rails. But I will say that if you only shoot in good lighting conditions & it fits your rails then it is a really good quality scope.

    Hello Andy!
    Thanks for your videos which, in addition to being very informative, have that very British humor that I really appreciate.
    I'm fortunate enough to live in areas where there are no power or caliber limits and I'm wondering if these Vector Optics scopes are suitable for gas ram piston magnum rifles (45 joules), such as the Hatsan Mod 123QE .30 and Gamo G-Magnum 1250 .22, or if it's better to mount Hawke Airmax scopes on these types of rifles.
    So the question is, according to the British limitation of 12 ft/lb: do you primarily recommend these scopes because they would be in adequation for British no-FAC rifles?
    If not, it would indeed be more financially attractive to go with Vectors Optics, which already offers FFP scopes at half the price of the Hawke Airmax 30 WA FFP.
    But only if they can handle that powerful reverse recoil...
    You can say: "Why not a PCP air rifle?"
    Because I spend most of my time in the wilderness, away from any "civilization" and I need this type of stand-alone rifle, which excludes PCPs.

    Hello Andy, what are these scopes like for adding addons too?

  • @skyhookspirits
    @skyhookspirits 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Yes, the Vector scopes are nice, but there really are some other pretty nice scopes which cost less and still have nice features. Examples like UTG and Monstrum are awfully nice for the money. Things one needs to consider is the type of gun and type of shooting. A Springer may need a rugged scope, but a CO2 surely doesn't. There is also no real advantage in a buying a costly scope that is better than the gun it is on. I think it would be useful to review some of these other scopes so your audience can determine the best match for these considerations.

    I’m new to the sport and recently purchased a Diana 34 EMS. I intend to use this for pest control from about 25-35 yards. I was thinking about the Veyron 3-12x44 SFP based on this review. Would that match the Diana rifle or would it be too short to use comfortably?

    Hello Andy what you think from vortex scopes?

    Unless I'm mistaken they don't make one for handguns. Do you have a review on handgun scopes?

    Now that 2 years have passed, can you tell if those really are durable? I love to click distances and appreciate a scope that holds those clicks.

    I have had several scopes that had destroyed the scopes on my springer. Just because they can’t take the abuse of the shock of the air rifle.

    I bought the 3 - 12 x 44 SFP and love it, a perfect match for my HW 100 BP in size and weight.

      The cross hair is quite fine but perfectly suitable when focused correctly and in good light. At dusk though I do miss an illuminated reticule but I think the latest version of this scope now has one as standard.

    Everytime I'm about to pull the trigger on one of these something else side tracks me,like either outta stock and or in my latest situation I found a gun on sale and luck was on my side as I found a 500plus display optic at a price and features and a great track record I just couldn't say no to a combo I got for 1000 dollars included accutac bipod lightly used but still bye my calculations everything new would have been over 2 thousand and for half that I got a new gun and lightly handled items as they were not used in the field before me.The point of the story is are they really as good as the hype

    I'm interested in a 6-24x44 scope but the FFP type are quite expensive. The SFP type are more in my budget but I need to ask if they are any good for long range shooting. Is the reticle still nice and visible at any range and magnification? Appreciate your input on this. I'm sure many other people would be interested in your opinion. Cheers

    Hi Andy, is this range suitable for .22 LR Rifles?

    switch from cheap first scope to VO-marksman. the build is like twice as heavy to the cheap scope and glass quality is like upgrade from 720p-1080p TN panel to 4k IPS sharp.
