Really enjoyed the playthrough, and I'm hyped to start watching your Sea Power series. Have loved Wolfpack's vids, but you're the dude I'm most looking forward to seeing play the game I'm most excited to play myself
This the first time I’m ever seen an Akula , or any submarine other than a Typhoon, not immediately sunk by 1 torpedo (even Xias and Deltas only take 1). I think there’s some random damage model worked in so sometimes a Typhoon will be sunk with 2 torpedoes and sometimes (usually) it takes 3. What I suspect happened is the ADCAP hit the Akula and RNGesus (😊) decided that it would take 99% damage rather than 100%. However, the Akula started flooding and once it got to a certain depth it imploded. I’ve seen this happen with Typhoons a few times. I’ll hit it with 2 torpedoes but it’s not sunk. The Typhoon starts descending to the bottom (it’s flooding internally) and then once it’s almost at the sea floor it implodes.
Wow! nice war crime. Love it but hate it. LOL Also the fact that the Akula did not sink immediately after being hit by an ADCAP further strengthens the fact the Akula indeed needs 2 lightweight torps or 1 lightweight and 1 heavyweight torps to sink, just like it was in the previous episode.
As usual enjoyed this. Good luck with Sea Power. I'm really looking forward to your play-throughs.

How deafening loud this would be to those whales
Where is PETA?
Seawolf is best
It'd be nice if Cold Waters continued to be supported and updated.
I know what you mean but I've found the Mods to really invigorate the game still.
Really looking forward to you giving Sea Power a go. I wonder if the Akula was hit and was taking on water, and then later sunk.

Why do you only launch one torpedo at a time when Seawolf can control 8 torpedoes at once?
Seawolf only controls 4 torpedoes (4 wires) at once
