Yeah. I think Stage 1 for those of us upgrading from a fully accessorized Quest 2 was disappointment. Any improvement over Quest 2, was largely offset by the total lack of comfort accessories, early battery problems, and render glitches. I'm still waiting on specific accessories from BoboVR and VRCover to get back up to Quest 2 levels of happiness.
I have been-and will continue to be-in love with PCVR. The quest 3 with virtual desktop, snapdragon upscaling, plus UEVR, has me experiencing a whole new honeymoon phase!
Just got a Q3, and I'm coming from the Valve Index. I'm at the phase where I'm getting sucked in by Asgard's Wrath now. I made a point to play that first so I have the story so I am able to play Asgard's Wrath 2 later since it came free with the headset. But what I really can't wait to play is Lone Echo, Star Wars: Tales From The Galaxy's Edge, Vader Immortal, and Journey To Foundation, because I like story-rich sci-fi games, especially if they're in a space setting. (My favorite flat games ever were Mass Effect: Legendary Edition & Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic). And considering you say you like RPGs Matteo, you should definitely check those latter two out if you haven't... they're the most classic RPGs.
On the psvr2 im on the stage of waiting for the box to try to fix my controller because sony doesn't sell then separately. With one year mark of the psvr2 it would be nice to talk about why sont doesn't sell the controllers alone. If they dont fix mine i definitely going to Meta quest3 and PCVR.
Great video! I think that I'm at stage 4 right now. I love discovering what type of games are available and enjoying them one at a time. I decided to go with the Quest 2 due to its price, and try it for a few months to see if it's for me. I'm pretty sure that I'll be upgrading during the summer since I'm really enjoying it so far!
VR since DK2, now using the mixed reality functionality of the quest 3 with 'Reality Mixer' for my aircraft and racing sim titles. Works surprisingly well.
I got the quest 3 about 6 weeks ago, and to be honest, I thought well its a lot clearer but didn't think is was a massive upgrade.As for the mixed reality it's fun but I don't see myself buying games just for that as I go in VR to escape this crap world for an hour or two 😅
I'm in motion sickness stage. My wishlist is with 150 titles (almost no shooters, not my thing). I can play about max 45 min before the headache gets too strong, and I feel overwhelmed in my head. But not nauseous after taking it off, as long as I quit before it gets too strong. I am playing dungeons of eternity, and can't beat a lvl in 45 min, so try to push myself, but to no good. I hope it will get better soon, because I really enjoy the VR experience
I've heard people had way less nausea wearing Sea Band's or motion sickness pills. I'm unlucky to experience a lot of it too and I'm definitely gonna try both.
@@kellbrekoo3487 I tried the band while pregnant, and didn't help. And no fan of medication to play games. But will try the slow approach, and hope it'll ease up, only had it since Christmas, and had small improvement. I think the headstrap would also be a good buy to reduce headache, cause of it is too heavy in front of my face, and I have a pretty small head. And read something about a fan blowing fresh air at you could help 😊
At good headstrap makes a big difference. Also make extra sure you have you IPD set right. Ginger pills would also roughly double my play time back before I got fully adjusted.
I have a rift s I haven't touched in 4 years. Got a quest 3 for xmas. Hopped right in to vr like I never left. The Cabin mixed reality just made me wish I had a bigger house. After dropping 3 bills for a wifi 6e router to replace my aging 10yo router introduced me to the joy of wireless pcvr. Also got a binbok headstrap for the pair of 8,000 mAH hot swappable batteries and am very happy with it. Also got a pair of pro controllers mistakenly thinking my Q3 controllers could replace the broken controllers on the Q2 my stepson had. I got the pro controller knuckle strap grips you suggested to me and am very happy with them. Been replaying saints and sinners, started a run of into the radius, but what really impressed me was playing half life Alyx again. I have a much beefier PC now and cranked up all the settings. It looks SO good and I forgot how cool the physics were, giggling when I stood out on the starting balcony, picked up a can and chucked it at the cat sleeping on the balcony below me. It yowled at me annoyed and ran off. Good times.
@Yourboi-fi9ow The pc needs to be connected to the router via ethernet. Then you connect the headset to the router on a 6ghz band and you can play pcvr games wireless. My vr space is not even in the same room as my pc.
Had it for a couple months now. I've had every Oculus headset starting with the DK2 and on. Quest 3 is the first headset where I put it on almost every night for a couple hours. I"m currently playing a lot of Resident Evil 4, Asgards Wrath2, Assassin's Creed Nexus and also Netflix and Prime.
I started VR in 2016, like you I guess, and the game that gave me my VR legs was "Omega Agent". It is a brilliant game. The graphics are simple but the sense of height is very well made and the game is fun to play. I think John Karmack said years ago that it was his favorite VR game.
You left out the few (like me) that fall so crazy for XR that they're effectively a religous fanatic, and use even the slightest opening in an IRL conversation to "preach the word!", making your IRL friends and family entertain staging an intervention.🤣😂😅
I already have a monster gaming pc, and the quest 2 price drop to 250 along with a non vr content creator discussing the og re4 port made me finally jump in, and I'm loving it. Let's just say I'm an avid sailor of the high seas and I can't get enough of the incredibly varied experiences I now have access to. I think the novelty will wear off eventually, and that initial wow factor only lasts for the first few days but I'm afraid I'll never really want to play flat screen games again, at least not shooters or anything first person.
I'm not sure if a two minute long recap is necessary for a less than five and a half minutes of information. I'm pretty sure we can remember that much. I don't try to be mean or anything, I just prefer videos without unnecessary repetition. I really like your content. When it comes to the stages, I'm only at the pre state of saving money to buy this headset!
I plan on getting a quest 3 and do love vr but i am not super into shooters and like 90 percent of games are shooters so i really want more varied games
I have the Q3 and a Kat Walk C2 + . So, you can guess which one I fall in to. Now with EUVR, I am beside myself with titles now available for VR with some work.
This is funny, and I think most people will hit this stage. It really shows just the lack of depth on VR games. Come to think of it the only VR game I have ever completed was Lone Echo. And that was also my very 1st vr game.
@thepassionategamer9460 the only VR game I beat was Red Matter. I wouldn't say it's because of a lack of depth though. Personally I only have 2 flat screen games installed on my ps5 (Spiderman + The finals). I think VR is the best way to play. But I think the grind in VR games is harder to get into compared to a grind in a flat screen game. Not to mention, u don't have access to ur phone and u socially close urself off from everyone in the house once u put it on. That's one of the weaknesses of VR. U can't just seamlessly pause and interact with the outside world much.
I'm in the stage where I want more puzzle games like rooms,, no horror ,, just puzzle solving.. there is not enough puzzle games...also we need more coop games
Phase 1 and 5. Own a Q3 for a month and just finished Alyx(had it for a year without a VR set to some day play it) so Im detoxing. happy I could go free locomotion half way through (not the free stick turning, that will get me nauseous) but sad because I don’t think there is anything close😢😢
I currently own the original Oculus Rift (not S) and am thinking about buying a Quest 3. I currently live in a truck camper so I would be using it sitting down unless it can work outside the camper. I have a gaming PC mounted inside the camper.
I actually just bought my quest 3. Im so looking forward to asgard 2 and the updated games. In death unchained and dungeons of eternity. Side note. Is the tracking of the hands better?
Haha yeah my passthrough looks so bad but it's probably due to not having super bright lights in my house. Atleast that's what i'm assuming the reason is.
For me it was: 1. Wow RE4 VR at 120 fps is amazing! 2. Man do I hate the comfort (buys new strap from AliExpress) 3. Holy hell I am tired of the lenses (awful glare, vignette, red spots at the far left & right of both lenses, bad binocular overlap) 4. Misses OLED and realizes everything still feels flat and less 3D, unlike OLED headsets.. and misses Quest 1 even more in this regard 5. Even with new straps, the default interface & the official Meta silicone one still gives me forehead pain and/or headaches. Now almost so over with the Q3 and wanna go back to other headsets. As controversial as that may sound
My quest 2 was way more comfortable than my Quest 3 but it also has a few more bells & whistles than my new headset. I'm almost on the fence if I like this "upgrade"
If you haven't gotten a comfort strap for Quest 3, definitely get one! I can't really see how Q2 is more comfortable than Q3 especially considering the Q3 is lighter
@@finnydog I have a lot of accessories for my Q2, but Q3 doesn't have everything my Q2 has yet. All I have for my Q3 is a boboVR Strap and facial cover thing. Q3 is heavier than the Q2 just thinner. I like the new controller and I needed to get a new Quest as my Q2 battery was horrible.. I'll continue to use the 3 obviously it's a better headset.
Stage 4.5: The Questhole Stage (where I am eternally) - Trying to integrate your headset into your daily life with varying success. - Wearing your headset to watch TH-cam videos while washing dishes 😤 - downloading immersed to use your headset "for work" 🧠 🔝 - sideloading Android apps like Discord onto your headset, so you don't have to hop out of experiences to talk to friends 🫠 - expecting your friends and family to not feel weird having full conversations with you while you still have your headset on in passthrough
I run the quest 1 verse the quest 3 on half-life Alix and the 1 looks better and runs better both systems are on max graphics. I am running All MSI hardware, 1470 TI liquid cooled, 4 tb SD card nvm5, and 96 GB ddr5 ram, I7 13700
Stage 1: wow this feels kind of uncomfortable after an hour, i better spend more money on a head piece. Stage 2: wow this things running out of battery really fast, i better spend more money on a battery pack. Stage 3: ''H3lLo'' wow this mic doesn't sound very good. I better spend more money on a wireless mic. Stage 4: Start gaming.

Meditation in the Word of God is a visit to God because God is in His Word. We know God through His Word because the Word He speaks represent His heart's desires. Meditation is a thing of the heart, not a thing of the mind. Thinking is lower level while meditation is upper level. You think of your problems, your troubles but inorder to meditate, you must let go of your own will, your own desires, your own ways and let the Word you read prevail over thinking process by thinking of it more and more, until the Word gets into your blood and gains supremacy over you. That is when meditation comes - naturally without forcing yourself, turning the Word over and over in your heart. You can be having a conversation with someone while meditating in your heart - saying 'Thank you, Jesus...' over and over in your heart. But it is hard to meditate when you haven't let go of offence and past hurts. Your pain of the past, leave it for God, don't worry yourself, Jesus is alive, you can face tomorrow, He understands what you are passing through today. Begin to meditate on this prayer day and night (in all that you do), "Lord take more of me and give me more of you. Give me more of your holiness, faithfulness, obedience, self-control, purity, humility, love, goodness, kindness, joy, patience, forgiveness, wisdom, understanding, calmness, perseverance... Make me a channel of shinning light where there is darkness, a channel of pardon where there is injury, a channel of love where there is hatred, a channel of humility where there is pride..." The Word of God becomes a part of us by meditation, not by saying words but spirit prayer (prayer from the heart). Take note, God is Spirit and those who worship Him should do so in spirit and truth (genuinely by living the Word). When the Word becomes a part of you, it will by its very nature influence your conduct and behavior. Your bad habits, you will no longer have the urge to do them. You will think differently, dream differently, act differently and talk differently - if something does not qualify for meditation, it does not qualify for conversation. *THE BATTLE BETWEEN LIGHT AND DARKNESS (GOOD AND EVIL)* Heaven is God's throne and the dwelling place for God's angels and the saints. Hell was meant for the devil (satan) and the fallen angels. Those who torture the souls in hell are demons (unclean spirits). Man's spirit is a free moral agent. You can either yield yourself to God or to the devil because God has given us discretion. If one thinks he possesses only his own spirit, he is lying to himself and he is already in the dark. God is light while the devil is darkness. Light (Holy Spirit) and darkness (evil spirit) cannot stay together in a man's body. God is Love (Love is light) and where there is no love is hell, just as where there is no light is darkness. The one you yield yourself to, you will get his reward. The reward of righteousness to man's spirit is life (abundant life) and the reward of sin to man's spirit is death. Sin and satan are one and the same. Whatever sin can cause, satan also can cause. Sin is what gives the devil dominion or power over man's spirit. When God's Word becomes a part of you, sin power over you is broken, you become the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. Where Jesus is, you are and when He went (to the Father), you went. In the book of John 8:42-47, Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. @@lonnycactus5593 that makes more sense. The only thing that should look at all better is colors because Q1 is oled. The resolution is significantly lower. I assume you are using airlink? VD with increased settings would look much better

Loving the Quest 3 but man they need to either step up on the enhanced for Quest 3 updates or make Q3 exclusives.
I prefer them keep them as quest 2 games so I can upscale them with sidequest and play them at higher resolutions and framerates.

i went straight from psvr to pcvr.....i do miss until dawn rush of blood though.....that gave me flashbacks whenever i saw the color orange

I currently own the original Oculus Rift (not S) and am thinking about buying a Quest 3. I currently live in a truck camper so I would be using it sitting down unless it can work outside the camper. I have a gaming PC mounted inside the camper.

For me , stage 6 is returning it to the store. Just can't find a way to comfortably wear it, and yep, I've tried third party straps.
I actually just bought my quest 3. Im so looking forward to asgard 2 and the updated games. In death unchained and dungeons of eternity.

Yes, I have noticed hand tracking is better on quest 3 compared to 2 and pro.
The 10 comments of VR or sorry spatial computing. I still get vr sickenss from games like Boneworks and Vertigo.

For me it was:
1. Wow RE4 VR at 120 fps is amazing!
2. Man do I hate the comfort (buys new strap from AliExpress)
3. Holy hell I am tired of the lenses (awful glare, vignette, red spots at the far left & right of both lenses, bad binocular overlap)
4. Misses OLED and realizes everything still feels flat and less 3D, unlike OLED headsets.. and misses Quest 1 even more in this regard
5. Even with new straps, the default interface & the official Meta silicone one still gives me forehead pain and/or headaches. Now almost so over with the Q3 and wanna go back to other headsets. As controversial as that may sound

My quest 2 was way more comfortable than my Quest 3 but it also has a few more bells & whistles than my new headset. I'm almost on the fence if I like this "upgrade"
If you haven't gotten a comfort strap for Quest 3, definitely get one! I can't really see how Q2 is more comfortable than Q3 especially considering the Q3 is lighter
@@finnydog I have a lot of accessories for my Q2, but Q3 doesn't have everything my Q2 has yet. All I have for my Q3 is a boboVR Strap and facial cover thing. Q3 is heavier than the Q2 just thinner. I like the new controller and I needed to get a new Quest as my Q2 battery was horrible.. I'll continue to use the 3 obviously it's a better headset.
Nock is pretty fun but I feel like it would be more fun if the physics were more forgiving.

- downloading immersed to use your headset "for work" 🧠 🔝
- sideloading Android apps like Discord onto your headset, so you don't have to hop out of experiences to talk to friends 🫠
- expecting your friends and family to not feel weird having full conversations with you while you still have your headset on in passthrough
Does side loading discord allow you to use discord while also playing a game natively.? No discord integration is my biggest gripe with my quest 3.
I haven't done this since I owned my quest 2, but you also had to install Oculess to run voice chat etc in the background if I remember right.
Quest 3 will keep you entertained and having fun for hours. 👍
I run the quest 1 verse the quest 3 on half-life Alix and the 1 looks better and runs better both systems are on max graphics. I am running All MSI hardware, 1470 TI

Sin makes the heart unclean but you can ask God to forgive you, to save your soul, to cleanse you of your sin, to purify your heart by the blood of His Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ which He shed here on earth because Isaiah 53:5 says, "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed". Meditation in the Word of God is a visit to God because God is in His Word. We know God through His Word because the Word He speaks represent His heart's desires. Meditation is a thing of the heart, not a thing of the mind. Thinking is lower level while meditation is upper level. You think of your problems, your troubles but inorder to meditate, you must let go of your own will, your own desires, your own ways and let the Word you read prevail over thinking process by thinking of it more and more, until the Word gets into your blood and gains supremacy over you. That is when meditation comes - naturally without forcing yourself, turning the Word over and over in your heart. You can be having a conversation with someone while meditating in your heart - saying 'Thank you, Jesus...' over and over in your heart. But it is hard to meditate when you haven't let go of offence and past hurts. Your pain of the past, leave it for God, don't worry yourself, Jesus is alive, you can face tomorrow, He understands what you are passing through today. Begin to meditate on this prayer day and night (in all that you do), "Lord take more of me and give me more of you. Give me more of your holiness, faithfulness, obedience, self-control, purity, humility, love, goodness, kindness, joy, patience, forgiveness, wisdom, understanding, calmness, perseverance... Make me a channel of shinning light where there is darkness, a channel of pardon where there is injury, a channel of love where there is hatred, a channel of humility where there is pride..." The Word of God becomes a part of us by meditation, not by saying words but spirit prayer (prayer from the heart). Take note, God is Spirit and those who worship Him should do so in spirit and truth (genuinely by living the Word). When the Word becomes a part of you, it will by its very nature influence your conduct and behavior. Your bad habits, you will no longer have the urge to do them. You will think differently, dream differently, act differently and talk differently - if something does not qualify for meditation, it does not qualify for conversation.

Heaven is God's throne and the dwelling place for God's angels and the saints. Hell was meant for the devil (satan) and the fallen angels. Those who torture the souls in hell are demons (unclean spirits). Man's spirit is a free moral agent. You can either yield yourself to God or to the devil because God has given us discretion. If one thinks he possesses only his own spirit, he is lying to himself and he is already in the dark. God is light while the devil is darkness. Light (Holy Spirit) and darkness (evil spirit) cannot stay together in a man's body. God is Love (Love is light) and where there is no love is hell, just as where there is no light is darkness. The one you yield yourself to, you will get his reward. The reward of righteousness to man's spirit is life (abundant life) and the reward of sin to man's spirit is death. Sin and satan are one and the same. Whatever sin can cause, satan also can cause. Sin is what gives the devil dominion or power over man's spirit. When God's Word becomes a part of you, sin power over you is broken, you become the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. Where Jesus is, you are and when He went (to the Father), you went. In the book of John 8:42-47, Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
