Before buying, I saw this video and that your blade loosened… but I decided to take a chance and try it anyway as a replacement for the Ontario sp8 that I’ve used for years.
Unfortunately mine came out of the box with a slightly loose blade... Unacceptable! Since this knife was going to spend its life getting smacked with a baton, I just returned it to Amazon. No way it would have survived my use. I really wanted to like this blade, but it was not meant to be. 😞

Sorry to hear it but hard battoning will loosen the handle for sure. You did the best thing for yourself to return it. They need a second pin to hold that handle in place!

Another great review my friend! I like the dual grind thing. That's just like the Terava Skrama! That has the same type grind, and everyone seems to love it. I have to assume this one would be a great additition to the chopper collection if you drill and pin the handle so it don't come loos anymore.
Hope you're doing good my friend. God bless you and all your loved ones!

The original Skrama btw has the same issue. After a while the rubber grip will move slightly due to intensive use. Not a huge fan of hollow pins overall, they are not an optimal solution to keep anything in place for long when you whack or baton the sh1t out of things. :)

Makes ya wonder if the Skrama has similar issues with the handle. I wonder how difficult it would be to replace the handle with micarta scales? That thing sure can chop. Good exercise. Chop aerobics. You're gonna have a Popeye forearm on that arm.

It’s a very good design! Handle needs improvement.

      I think maybe can be
fixed using uretane or glue. But it's a new pice and you can send it back to odenwolf. It happens because the back of the blade is full polished and is more better a rugged surface for full adherence between rubber and steel. It's the same issue of the trailmaster and the MTech 151.
      Easy to fix issue.

I have very little play where the top of the handle meets the tang but does not move back and forth like yours does. I have no concerns with mine right now. Seems solid.

Do you have an update about the loose handle? Did they respond?
    Thanks

The OdenWolf rep mentioned they were going to look into it but I don’t have any recent updates unfortunately. I was pretty surprised myself when I noticed it. You will have to decide for yourself whether you would want to buy this or not. Some good news is they did honor their warranty.

What is the blade steel hardness in HRC?
Did you straighten the blade like you sharpened a blade?

Heck man , take that rubber handle off and make a new one and make a video out of it lol . That blade would look great in Micarta . I like making a blade my own , not saying it's a bad knife I just like adjusting for more pleasure lol .

Man I wish I had the courage and skill to make a Micarta handle. This blade in Micarta would be the beeez kneeeez!
