That Blade Shape Definitely has some Celtic DNA in there.
Thats a KEEPER.
Thanks for the great shout out bro!!!
Definitely! Your review was excellent as well!
Very very cool. Totally a mini sword. Thank you!
It looks bad ass.
You and Gruggs do some "top notch" reviews for sure! I've gotten blades from BOTH of yours reviews Including, the one you've doing now!!! You guys do great work...
Thanks brother much appreciated!
I'll second that. Keep up the strong work! 💯
It takes a lot of effort and hard work to get these videos out to the world to see. Much appreciated. I like to hear from real folks before I make a purchase. I hate dealing with buyers regret.
I appreciate you watching my friend and I’m glad to help🙂
Good video. I got one of these in the mail a couple days ago and have been very impressed with it. Haven’t gotten around to doing any bottle slayin’ though!
It is indeed, as you say, a mini sword. I knew how long it was when I bought it, but I was still kinda unprepared for my reaction when I pulled it out of the box. Woah! Most daggers I’ve come across were 4”-5”, with a couple of 7” ones being what I considered big; this one dwarfs them!
The sheath on mine doesn’t have any problem with looseness at the front, it clicks in nice and securely.
For anyone wondering if it’s full tang, I tested it with a powerful magnet and it is reactive all the way through the handle. I guess the only way to really be sure is to cut the grip off or do an x-ray, but I’m confident that it is full tang.
I have the other Odenwolf releases now and think they’re an awesome value proposition for well-designed knives on a budget. Apparently the company originated in Germany as Wolfgangs and they are fairly popular there. I don’t know why they decided to call it “Odenwolf” for selling in North America but it makes no difference to me.
Great info my friend! Thank you
Reminds me of a miniature roman gladius. That's a sick blade, but watch the shaving with it😂
😂😂
Excellent jug killing! Just an awesome video!
Thanks bro! 🔪👊👊
I saw it first on Legion Tacticools channel but I really like it. It looks like something Cold Steel would've designed. It is very intimidating and scary looking
Definitely!
Not sure if it’s within your channel’s budget, but it would be awesome to see how all these different knives perform on slabs of meat or even ballistic gel or something similar. That would definitely be amazing to see. Love your videos.
Thank you so much! You’re right about the budget. I’m thinking about pushing my patreon to be able to get some ballistics
Yes..like Shanghai FS style blades and Smatchets..maybe Welsh knives and Roman knives(puggius, gladius) together ...👍
Awesome video, Thanks!
This IS a great knife!!!
Love it 💯
2 other double edge stickers to look at is the Shanghai Warrior and the OSS from cold steel. The warrior is a monster
Just got one of these about a week ago. For 60 bucks it's a great deal !
Definitely!
Who needs to see a paper cut test when you easily cut through that sapling 👍👍 cool review
Like your honest reviews.
Just picked one up and so far I am impressed. Think I will check out some of the other models as well.
Odenwolf if great 👍
Great review. The knife reminds me of the smatchet. Keep up the great content. Stay blessed!
You as well!
Awesome knife got it 2 weeks ago on my channel!
I just bought a microtech Ultratech with the Spartan blade. So this was a no-brainer to buy. Great review and a new sub.😊
Welcome aboard! Thanks my friend
Darn it they're out! Unless you want an orange one...
You sold me on that finish! I was debating last night between the stone wash and satin finish.
Great review!
Thanks so much! Glad to be of service🙂
Pretty nice. Definitely a big un'. I use a 16" blade for a pig sticker myself. It could use a sheath that is a bit softer. That kind of plastic can dull blades sometimes.
Definitely! This one has a nice fit.
Reminds me of the Celtic “leaf” blade short swords. Very impressive.
Very nice brother ❤
I could see you doing some big slicing with this haha
You are correct... I don't want that thing flying at me.
Awesome dagger, bro!
Definitely a fun one to swing around haha.
@@411Outdoors Welcome, bro, I think you'll like my new video!
Hey friend love the knife is the blade hold up good
It really does! Very solid
Good Job, Chief.
Thank you kindly!
That looks like a legionnaire sword. It’s one bad apple of a blade!
Now I gotta have it!
It’s a beast 🙂👍
Like to know how the handle is held on? Pins? Just molded? Screws?
I followed gruggs' link ,got $5.50 off of this!!
I love it! Looks Ultra Roman, can't pick mine up without yelling : "Put those Romans in the sky...."
I bought one to replace another large dagger stolen by one my sons. I haven’t tested it yet, but it seems to be a bargain. I just wonder where its failure point would be.
I’ve beat mine up pretty good, and so far so good
Probably at the tip (don't pry anything) .
Heavy duty dag❗
the design can be described as: Kunai+Xiphos
Soooeey, that's 1 mean looking pig sticker.
😂😂👍💯
on the blade swinging part...I think should you should wear a red hat and play break stuff by limp bizkit
😂💯👍
Can’t hardly wait for my wife to ask me to open a water bottle for her.
Heck yeah haha
Gotta be careful with double edged long blades. I saw the results of a guy cut his brow on drawing it back, He was using a machete, but when your tired and not thinking...shit happens.
Good point! Thanks for sharing
Is this a german company? Translated in german sowcatcher would be Staufänger, the regular german word for a wide baded dagger, to give wild boar a final stab. Sau must not been explained , but abfangen means giving the final stab
Interesting info. Yes they are German 🙂👍
@@411Outdoors : In addition to Saufänger, there was for centuries also the Hirschfänger ( deer catcher), which was worn into interwar periode. While the Saufänger.( to some degree also Saufeder/ boarspear) has a Comeback in last twenty years because wild boar became a problem, the long, but narrowbladed Hirschfänger became rare, only some old Hunters use it as ceremonial dress weapon. The third large german hunting knife, the Waidblatt, a mix of billhook, cleaver and small Machete also became rare.
I would buy that knife if the handle was made with g10 or micarta
Es ist nicht dafür gemacht, Bäume zu spalten. Es ist ein Abfangmesser.
Oh, most definitely. Total combat blade.
