My timelapse keezer build. The counter top comes apart in sections so I can change the design. I'm currently working on a few more.

If you cut into the top of the freezer why bother with the collar?
How difficult is it to change kegs?? Also, do the lines run out the back of the Keezer or thru the top?? I saw 3 circles in the top and didn't understand what they were. How is it for being sealed, would you add any insulation?? Can't wait for the brewing videos!

Nice job. Any thing that you would do differently now that you have had it a while? I had a kegerator once. The first few pours were foamy and cool, not cold. Do you find that to be the case?
Outstanding build! The best looking keezer I've seen in a long while. Would also like to see the wiring up of the lines and insulation of the tower. Great job!

Looks great, but with that faucet tower how do you keep the beer from foaming ?
I keep the top insulated pretty well and it's never been much of an issue.
How is your insulation of the tap lines? Any issues?

how do you get inside with the tap tower on the lid? does it not mean the freezer would have to have a huge gap behind it?
I have it on sliders so I just pull it away from the wall when I need to get inside.

Nice looking build. What about foaming up at the taps. How do you keep them cool?
I'm going to insulate the top part then use computer fans to help circulate the cold air.
How bold skeezer
Lots of problems. My biggest is opening the top requires two feet of distance behind. Plus the taps are gonna want to move around and open.
Amazing! Congratulations... but, how to open to change kegs and access co2 regulator?
When remounting the lid I would put it on backwards so you tilt it forward to change kegs. Instead of needing to pull it away from the wall
How far apart did you drill your holes for your taps?

Is it important to build it higher because of the keggs? If you have taps at the top can't you just keep it as it is and just drill the holes into the topcap?
Building it higher isnt neccessary, I put that collar around the top just to make it the height I wanted and I already had it made from a previous build. The holes in the collar are previous tap holes and not used anymore.
You're freezer has no way of venting its hot air, you'll prematurely burn out the motor, if you dont allow airflow.

What did you use to drill holes in your lid?
Hole saw. I believe it was 3 inches.

@@tytendesigns6184 Awesome man, thanks so much. My wife and I love this. Oh- I guess you could choose to put something else on the top instead of the herringbone wood pattern, like maybe a countertop material or a solid piece or two of wood? (I don't have alot of the cool tools you have, haha).

Finish nailer. It's pretty loud.
Beautiful woodwork, zero functionality. Unfortunately, this keezer will not last long. The compressor will overheat, especially given the duty cycles that a keezer goes through. BAD BAD BAD
That's not true. I've been using that same chest freezer as a keezer for over 7 years now. This is the 3rd keezer I've built using it.
A buddy of mine built a similar setup (like how this has a tap tower rather than faucets right on the collar). He put it on castors, which left a pretty big air gap underneath. His had a good couple of inches space from the wall too, so plenty of airflow. This also means you can pull it away from the wall to open the lid.
Nice wood working poor design, taps and beer lines will stay warm and pour tons of head. that's why people put the taps thru the front it keeps the lines and tap in the cold
