Wow. Just watched the video. When Matt and the crew at Yes Theory reached our back in January with this idea, I had no idea it would become one of the most fun and fulfilling things I’d done in a while. IVAN: I am so proud of you man!! You did it. You showed up, tried your best, and went all out. That is a giant win. This was such a beautiful adventure.

I cant even imagine getting my foot in the door of the music industry but this is good inspiration. Coming out of high school and doing my first year of college during COVID has made the experience a living nightmare. I haven’t made any friends or even learned to drive because the dmv closed from COVID when i went to get a permit when i was 17. About to turn 19 and hoping for the best. Thanks yes theory for inspiration, if I wasn’t stuck inside i would try to do more spontaneous stuff but here’s to hoping for the best! And Ivan did amazing btw.

D A Probably not because he was being more specific. Covid really started devastating the US at the end of February and March, which was pretty much right after Ivan reached out to Yes Theory and they made their video. By the time he graduated in April, there was no way many people could safely work in the US, hence the layoffs and unemployment.

The last part of the video hit me so hard. Me and my friends started a project a few mounths ago. As aerospace engineering students, we wanted to design and build a sailplane. For people like us, with not much experience and no degree yet, it was like a dream. We found a company to fund it and everything was going well beyond our expectations. And then... Corona hit us. The company did not have enough funds to support us and the project got cancled. We were left with a nearly finished project that we put our hearts and souls into for the last few mounths. Our dream was put on hold forever. It hurts, but I know we are not the one. I really hope Ivan will get what he was fighting for. Same with everyone else whose dreams were put on hold. Stay positive and stay safe!

so to me, the best start up is provide 3 to 5 month advance for small appartment rental ... Or... Give him/her camper van which is much better that will be their main transportation mode

Thing is, sometimes you just have to get the foot in the door and that is all that matters. If you're good at what you do, you just need that opportunity. That internship is obviously going to lead to a lot bigger stuff if he does well, and clearly the video itself was so well done that it impressed a lot of important people in the esports industry so regardless what happens it will lead to him getting opportunities in the business. That's very valuable and something that will fetch him a nice paying job pretty soon I'd imagine.

Thank you guys so much for creating such amazing inspirational content. I've been in a slump for a few years and have been trying to get myself sorted to the point to where it had become difficult to enjoy life. I happened upon your channel a year ago while cruising around for something to get reoriented and to decide what direction I want to take for myself.
After watching this video I've started looking into going back to school after swearing that I would never do it again so that I can build the background knowledge that I will need to pursue my next interest in life.
I can't wait until the world has been safely reopened so that more days will be seized, more chances can be taken, and so that I can honestly say that I love myself. Kinda mushy, but you get the idea.
You guys changed my life by embracing yours. Thank you

This shows hard work accomplishes dreams!!! When I was about 8 I went on my first airplane ride and fell in love with it. I wanted in the worst way to get my pilots license when I turned 16 but my parents had absolutely no way of paying or it, so I took some online lessons but couldn’t afford training. As soon as I graduated high school I got a full time job and started flight training, I needed Tuesday all my savings to get my pilots license. But after a year of training I got it, Now I need to build time to become an instructor so I can share my passion with others like myself, but it cost a lot. I wish I could buy a cheeper plane but most loan companies won’t give a 20 year old a loan. So I fly pay check to pay check. I know if I keep working one day I’ll accomplished dream of flying for a living, and sharing the joy with others!

I've been applying to jobs around Toronto for 4 years and never gotten much more then a couple interviews and jobs from people who didn't want to pay me. I'm at a disadvantage because I'm behind now and a diabetic trying to stay alive while I find work during this messed up pandemic.
I've started redesigning my portfolio and I've got a website, FB page, and Fiverr account but still no hires, not a single contract or email. So I'll keep pushing.
I'll have to learn how to video edit and make something to put together a design package for a company.
You guys always inspire me, I'm doing fitness challenges to get back on my feet from a health complication because of you. I want to thank you for always being a shining hope for ppl and a joy for the people you touch.
I'm fighting to save out planet with my art and I think I can be working from home and making amazing things soo with the support of my amazing man and the inspiration to do more like you guys. This is awesome! I'm trying to do a similar thing by reaching out to content creators - specifically League of legends creators to become an editor, and i learned alot from Alex Banayan, and fully believe in his third door approach. I've tried contacting business emails with no response, so i decided to go onto twitch and message them while they were live, however the responses i got were quite dismissive. Luckily one creator that i follow started an editing competition to see if there is any talent in his community, and by far i got the best response on his live stream. This was quite recent so im hoping he will contact me soon. But im still on the grind and understand that i need to put my best foot forward, so i have alot of projects in the pipeline that will be coming out soon, and i know people will vibe with the videos ill be releasing soon :) I do need to work on my distribution though. Love the work you guys are doing Yes Theory, you lot have touched so many lives, keep it up!

I love how the thing that gets them the most success is there connections. They know so many people that have so many different talents. They don’t just use money to get what they want. They use past experiences for what they need in the moment
I think the car pushing anecdote is interesting.
A lot of this is people thinking, "Broken down car, I don't know how to help", but "Pushing car, I know how to help".
Many people want to help but are hesitant due to all kinds of things.
If you present the people around you with an insurmountable issue, they won't know how to help, if you begin the path yourself and discuss the small steps you are taking, people will quickly jump on board to help you achieve these tasks.
Often this makes people invested in the issue and they will continue on in ways they wouldn't have thought of before.
