The disc breaks aren't regenerative. The polarity on the electric motor is reversed during breaking, making it a generator. The discs just provide extra braking for panic stops and hard braking. The battery is 24 Kilowatt Hours, meaning it can run for an hour at a load of 24 Kilowatts. That's a new noise when it starts up! Must be custom. The "whine" is from the pedestrian warning system. You can turn it off if you want.
I'd have one... but would go for a plug in hybrid instead... my daily commute to work and back is about 20 Miles so i might need no gas for those trips but can go on my occasional long-distance-drive as well without needing a second car
I have been using an electric car since 2002, but now my difficulty is to find a new set of batteries. This is a serious problem. I was the first importer of an electric vehicle. RMV refused to register then.
My Lincoln TC hack has gone 25 billlllyyonnzzz inches. I drive in Northern Virginia where many foreigners who do not understand the phrase, "passing lane", drive so inch is applicable. Walgreens pharmacies have charging stations. What is it like to charge away from home?
You should see a range difference between ECO mode and Drive mode. The range will also be greater if the A/C is off, and the range may be reduced if there are any dead battery cells, which is indicated on the display.
Don't forget to factor out the energy used to find an oilfield, build a platform, extract the crude oil, refine it into petroleum, and transport it to gas stations in gas guzzling tankers. Then consider the fact that in central London 4000 people die each year from breathing in car exhaust fumes. Electric cars are the future, get used to it.
I love electric cars, but for me the limited range is a problem. Therefore I upgraded my Prius 2008 with a 16.5 kWh battery-pack. I can do 100+ km in EV. So, I can say that I do have an electric 5-seater comfortable car. A laef or an i3 would be my first consideration the day I have to buy a new car. In no case I would buy an ICE car.
Nice job! Thanks for posting!!
The 80 kW motor is rated 107 HP, not 127 HP. Also, when explaining the backup alarm, the narrator says the vehicle has no motor.

Would have liked to have seen a drive on the freeway at freeway speeds as well.
How about a test of the Renault Kangoo ZE and the Renault Fluence ZE?
hello,
is there difference between Nissan Leaf ZE0 and AZE0? if then, what are they?
How does an AC motor reverse polarity?

I would have, but I couldn't go far with it.

Nearly fell asleep listening to that
Listen. Bottom line. I don't have to pay for gas near or long term. What are the odds gas is going down? None.
