Thank you very much. We're picking up our used 2013 Leaf tomorrow morning, and live at the upper limit of its range. My wife is going to have to get it home without me being available. Having watched this, and being able to forward it to my wife, makes me confident she'll make it home should she need to find a quick charge station.
Informative video although I'm not sure why on a video you've chosen to demonstrate how to do things with a series of annotated stills rather than just filming someone undertaking the action? Surely it would be easier for people to grasp what you were showing if you had a video clip of the task actually being undertaken?
They can still do it with an extension of a normal method video. Sure have enough resource to film it. And occasionally put the video link in here in description. That would be (t̶h̶e̶ ̶m̶i̶n̶i̶m̶u̶m̶ )nice.
No, the Tesla authenticates with the charger over the internet and theough NFC to validate serial. Tesla chargers are designed to charge ONLY Teslas...
i plug my charger in and all 3 indicators flash and make a beeping noise. Does this mean my charger is bad? my battery isn't full because it tells me how long it'll take to charge to full.
I put my charger in porwer source, it says ready. When i put the charger in the car it beeps once but no light in the dash coms on and the charger does not light on charge but only says ready. So only the green light comes on. Can anybody tell me if this is a charger problem or car problem?
Can someone explain the different levels of DAMAGE done to a car if someone CUTS the cord while the car is charging? Why do some cars only need a new fuse, while others have thousands of dollars of damage? Why is this?
So, basically, when you cut the cord of an electric car charger while it is charging, it short circuits the battery inside of the car, kind of like when you connect two 9V batteries together and they get very hot. When that happens the battery inside is having so much electricity taken from it that it degrades the battery in a matter of minutes (depending on the size of the car battery). The less time the broken charger is plugged into the car the less damage is done to the battery. Some cars have fuses to prevent this, but older cars like the Nissan Leaf didn't have those I believe. Hope that answers your question!
Was charging my Leaf at a Chademo recently. Another Leaf pulled up and connected to the Fast AC port using an adapter cable - he saids it was not very fast but was reasonably so. Has anyone got information on this ??

How is it going now? I am on the verge of getting one.

Is there an adapter to be able to charger the Leaf at a Tesla charging station?

@@PrestonCole so you are telling us that Tesla is like the Apple of EV cars??

They've offered all manufacturers their charging standard free of charge and they've all refused, so no.

I have the same problem what was the cause of that 3 indicator flash blue light mean ?
Three blue lights on top of dash indicates if charge is in process.
Is there a universal plug ?
No. There are no universal plugs for anything. If someone creates a universal plug, then there's another new standard in the market. See: USB.
Is there an adapter to use a ccs charger?
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉Good

There is a button to left of the steering to start charging.
