Ale displays her human metronome capability in that breakdown, Pau is brutal on the drums, and Dany’s head strums are some cayenne pepper sprinkled on the opening. 😎👍
When Dany makes the chime sound behind the nut, the first two times she hits the high strings then the third time the lower strings. In Dany language something like "beh, beh, bhew"
Obviously the breakdown at the end is freaking amazing. Also, when Ale's bass kicks in with that slide at around the 29 second mark in the orginal video. 🎸🔥
The drumming is outstanding in this song. During Ale's and Pau's break, you hear that slight sigh before Dany sings. I listened to the song for 3 days, thinking it was me sighing.
Thinking of TSwift, sometimes adding little vocalizations that become important parts of the song, as in Blank Space, "mmmm... Would love to hear more of Dany's interpretations of Billie Eilish. I'd challenge her to do The 30th, that long bit, with one breath (or, maybe better, Pau...)
I agree about the "less is more" with DPA, as TWB are masters at this, filling songs with moments which you quickly learn to love and wait for. The internet abounds with bands who play with great techniques and too many notes. (It is why Church, from Asterism, is the only song of theirs i really enjoy. Wish she'd play fewer notes tho.) The first song in the "modern" era, which swallowed me whole, Disciple (live at Teatro Metropolitan) is full of such moments and is my favorite version of the song. Less is more: Ale holding forth with a simple line, with Dany singing and no guitar, is a TWB signature. As in Automatic Sun, it takes the right notes and very skilled playing to do this. First time I listened to Automatic Sun, the bass pulse in the breakdown became an immediate favorite moment. As an old bass player I can tell you it is not easy to build a song with such signature bass lines, not easy to carry it off so very well. BRAVO!
Well said! Yes, I agree, it is not easy creating signature bass lines because the primary role of bass is to provide support for the melodies. If you do too much, you clash with the vocal and guitar melodies, if you do too little it provides great support but can sound monotonous. Great bass players know how to make bass interesting and fun without sacrificing the supporting role. Ale is a master at that and the whole band really knows how to play with dynamics of sound and energy.
@@TheWarningSoundscape I agree with this; Dusty Hill is a great example of minimalist playing, supporting ZzTop perfectly. That said, my bass hero is Geddy Lee, particularly from Hemispheres on through Power Windows. Not minimalist at all. But, it brought me to huy a Rickenbacker and try to learn what he was doing in there! My ideal bass mix is holding down that tasty, memorable line, with just enough variation to pique my interest.
The Ending is one of my favorite parts you didn't mention it. Pau's Drumming and Quad Drum Roll is exceptional. But you missed the Great Ending And Dany's Great Vocal's...
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST REVIEW/REACTION of The Warning I have yet to read/see. I'm new to The Warning but utterly amazed at their talent. I've watched dozens and dozens of reaction videos. Your breakdown of Automatic Sun is as good as Rick Beato or Fil, Wings of Pegusus !!!! Outstanding talent you possess sir. - TB
The Warning... Fantastic BanD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pau should be listed as "Lead Vocals/ Drums" - the band has TWO lead vocalists.
💯

That number three drum fill

So that's what the "nut" on a guitar is. Thanks for clarifying that, the term sounded weird to me, obviously clueless about guitars.
I've played guitar for years and 'nut' still sounds weird to me. haha
And some people question why Pau got Rock Drummer of the Year at Drumeo. This is why. Kicks. Ass.
she certainly does. Not to mention second lead singer, hard worker, commanding stage presence. Everything basically.
G'day from Perth Western Australia at 4.45pm on Happy Dazzlin' Day 👍🙃🍺🦘 Cheerz D P A + The Warning Team are Awesome 🤗

Me gusto mucho la frase de 'oasis fresco en el desierto musical'. Así precisamente me he sentido Hace años sin escuchar algo tan refrescante.
Ale is Pau's time keeper.
Lovely yours análysys!! So completely….
