Jigging Lake Trout with Garmin LiveScope - High Tech Fishing!

  • Thanks for watching!!
    No you don't need this tech to catch lake trout - and thats the beauty of the species. On a recent guide trip, we were trolling straight mono line in 6 feet of water with our graph turned off and caught fish. It truly can be that simple. However, when it is available, it sure is fun to put it to use and see what can happen.
    Join us as we head out on Lake Superior and use Garmin LiveScope to target Lake Trout. Ethan runs guide trips on the North Shore of Lake Superior and has a dialed program with this technology. It makes covering water so much more efficient. Instead of 50 casts to one fish, its almost 10 casts to one fish.

    I've been watching fishing shows for 30 years, and I have to say Superior Angling is definitely my favorite! The camera work (A+) the symphony type audio is TOP SHELF (A+). Corporate sponsors should be begging to sponsor this show! Why, because it doesn't get ANY better!

    You need your own fishing show on tv. This is better than most of the shows on tv

    You nailed it. Probably one of the best experiences you can do in freshwater. After a spring of jigging walleye, getting excited to get out and jig up some lakers!

    Your videos inspire me! I love em. If I had an extra 10 grand laying around, Id have 2 live scopes too. Guess I'll have to settle for my fl8 by Hondex and my sitex paper graph.

    This was another great episode guys!!! I always look forward to seeing the next episode. I bought the echo map and am trying to decide on the livescope. A lot of my fishing is inland ,but I have an obsession for jigging lakers. Have you tried using the live scope plus for deep jigging?

    Great video. I noticed the spinner at the stinger. I have som as well but found they tangle 8 out of 10 times. You do not seem to have that issue on camera. Care to share who makes them. Mine are TJ MOTO I think.

    Gm ! I really like the boat mount you have for the dual panoptix. Well done. Do you have an in depth video of that set up? I assume it’s a custom rigging. Cool. I’d like to replicate something like that for my Targa. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Also,. Pls keep up the filming. The content and production values are excellent.

    I'd think it would be awesome if you'd invite arms family Homestead to come fishing up here they would probably like it, and you'd get more viewers if you collaborate with them

    I've had live sonar on my boat for over 4 years now, and there's no question that it's effective, and can be an awesome learning tool as well. I use it trolling, but when I'm jigging lakers I never turn it on. Ruins it for me. Knowing for a fact that you are about to get bit takes all the fun out of jigging. Lake trout are easy to graph, find, and catch with 2D sonar. As a guide, if this kid needs to lean on FFS to catch lakers for clients, or get clients for that matter, he needs to consider a new gig. You have some amazingly awesome laker jigging videos- this isn't one of them. It's just not entertaining to watch people fish with forward facing sonar, and exactly the reason why B.A.S.S. is trying to come up with a solution to "curb" or limit it's use for events. Banning it isn't really an option due to the sponsor $$$.

    2 livescope screens? Are you really even fishing anymore at that point?

  • @pswanberg1
    @pswanberg1 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Staring at a screen that takes all the skill and knowledge out of fishing. Lame.
