Nice videos :-) - On carbs, my experience is that vacuum syncing/balancing them is really important to have a good engine response from idle. Got e 36-2 and almost do et once a year.
@@TheSpannerLab I get that :-), and checking the sync is more a regular maintenance thing 👍 - BTW RC30 has a big bang firering order, which should be pretty easy to arrange on the 36-2 as well ;-)
Nice walkthrough - thanks for that. When I last stripped the carbs down, the heads of the brass crosshead screw (next to the butterfly valve) sheared before I could get them out. Are they supposed to come out? Subscribed. Look forward to more VFR750 content. Not enough on TH-cam for this model... *thumbsup*
My aim is to do as little as needs doing. I'm not sure which screw you are referring to, but if it's the ones holding the butterfly plate onto the shaft, I've only removed them once, out of necessity, because someone must have gone at the carbs with an ice-pick! Did you get it out?
@@TheSpannerLab Screw was between the venturi and the float bowl. Made of cheese, apparently. No joy with the screw but scored a nest(?) of carbs on ebay for £30! Honda wanted £7 for each of the screws...
You have no idea how long I was looking for this video… thank you sir
You are very welcome David. Glad it helped😁

In less than a year this will all get torn down to become a Tyga RC30 tribute. I just want to check everything works before I spend $7-8,000.

Hi Prof, where did you get the Inlet blanking plugs from?
They are a seal/tap from a 10l water container. Facebook message me and I'll send you a picture.
Where can I get these parts?
Is there any company you recommend?
All the parts and where I bought them from is in the video.
Ebay.
Watch the video and do it yourself is my recommendation.
It's kind of the whole point.
