    Nice boat. we have a Seajay Creek Masta 3.7 HS and very happy with it, i like the idea of closing off under the seats, had a few KG Whiting jump off the hook and end up under the seat.

      yes that's exactly why we closed off under the seats those KGs are slippery to try and hang onto but great eating Chris prefers to go to SA to fish for them and I prefer the NT for Barra

    Hi Kev & Chris,
    Just started watching your videos, very impressed. Hoping to do the same in a few years time when retirement comes around. Have you done a video on the fold up boat trailer and how it’s set up? And where you got it from? Cheers for now, Mick.

      thanks for watching we havn't done anything on this fold up trailer but at the moment we have a prototype getting built from our own design an all alloy frame and built very strong once we perfect the build (tilt trailer and mounts for caravan) via our alloy fabricator friend and we will do the fit out wheels tyres ,rollers ,winch, lights etc keep and eye out for our prototype on one of our next few videos hopefully up into the NT chasing Barra again
      cheers Kev and Chis

    Kev I’m looking forward to seeing how you fit the quad, bigger outboard and heavier boat on the Ute. Sounds like you need a light truck.

      Hi Richard you are spot on we could get away with the quad and our original tinny if we were careful with other things we took (GVM Upgraded ) but the new boat ,bigger outboard ,minnkota & extra battery just made it impossible to stay within our limits so we decided on a temperary upgrade ??? to a 2006 F 250 it is a 6.0 Turbo diesel ,we have only done 1 trip in it so far and it tows the van so well you really don't know its even there with a GVM of 4490 and GCM 8900 we don't need to worry, however we believe that later this year or early next year we will see a new Toyota Tundra come to Australia as a factory RHD we will be chaffing at the bit to get one of these we both just love the Toyotas
      Cheers Kev and Chris

    Nice set up hope it goes well, I am in process of selling 5m tinny and buy 3,5 to 3.7m tinny and 90cc Honda quad,

      we chose the 250 cc quad because we can both fit on it for short rides if we are prospecting or sometimes just exploring it weighs in at 200 kg but it is only 2wd but seem to go just about anywhere not sure how it will go launching the boat from the beach
      good luck
      cheers kev and chris

    Hi Kev, where did you get the tool box for you sounder, great idea.

    • @travellingaustralia7319
      @travellingaustralia7319  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      sorry for the late reply we have been up in the territory chasing barra , we bought the sounder box from trade tools it is a renegade brand ,cost under $30 and works great to save the sounder from knocks when travelling and easy to move around in the boat when fishing
      cheers Kev

    Good day Kev,
    Great videos
    Just a question on the Seajay, did you build the floor or is it a Seajay extra
    Cheers Matt

    • @travellingaustralia7319
      @travellingaustralia7319  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Matt we did the floor our self very easy on thee 3.7 as all the gussets are close to perfect position we used alloy angle welded to the gussets then fitted the thin ply over the top after waterproofing it

    • @travellingaustralia7319

      yes definately a roof topper would hate to have to put it up by hand though , it was brilliant in the NT
