in this video I show the progress of the 71 scout so far. we have set in a motor, transmission and transfer case out of 2013 sierra and also fitted the front and rear differentials out of a 1999 jeep wrangler

Youre very welcome. Wish I had more time to post more but I been super busy. And they are hugger headers. Got them on speedway motors if I rememeber correctly.

Thanks for the video. I have been dreaming up a Scout 80 project in my head for a while and would like to do upgrades including Ford V8 and Ford auto trans. This set up requires a driver side diff in the front axle and I always wondered if the XJ Cherokee or Wrangler axles had similar width dims. From what I see there in your video, it looks about right. The Cherokee steering box was also a thought I had. The disc brakes on the Jeep axle is also a great benefit. It is good to know what I am in for. Would the stock Jeep tri-wye steering rods work in the knuckle from the bottom... because they run up hill they may clear the springs? or are the Wrangler stock tie rods a different set up than the XJ Cherokee? In your case the rods you went with are nice and heavy duty. Looks good so far.

Not sure if the other components you mentioned would work but the steering components i used are universal and work very well. Ruffstuffspecialties makes the y link universal kit i used.
