If a lot of players buy the games they put out, for example, MvC, then it's worth pursuing to continue the series.
Their not going to put time and money in a game that the players aren't interested in.
And even if these collections sell well, we might not get any news of its successor in years because the process of making games is long.

@juanalderete3937 1.4 million for Megaman BN collection, 1.4 million for Megaman X legacy collection and 1.6 for Megaman Legacy collection is what I've seen.
Capcom announced the sales for Megaman X Legacy collection on June 06 2019.
5 years is a good amount of time for a game to be in development.
But still, 1.4 Mil, I don't know how much resources it takes to commit to creating a game from the ground up.
Or if 1.4 Mil of audience engagement/out cry is enough to get them to commit.
Considering Monster Hunter World's 2.4 Mil in just it's first week of sales.
Mark my words, Disney will become so desperate for a hit, Marvel vs Capcom will become a cinematic franchise.

According to insider gaming website, why this won't be on xbox it said "According to a new report from Windows Central, it has to do with Capcom’s MT Framework that the game’s are built on. The outlet’s source say that Capcom “has no pipeline for porting older MT Framework titles to Xbox’s modern system, which makes it more expensive to deliver the same titles than it would porting them to PlayStation 4, Switch, or PC.” Now it's strange that on ps it's saying ps4 and not 5, I was worried cause I have ps5 and I really really want this collection.

It's like Capcom Fighting Collection - literally ALL the arcade Darkstalkers games - I'm absolutely buying this day one, on all systems. Physical for Switch, digital on Steam and Switch as well. These games are so good and there's no guarantee that we'll see them again.
Yes have all of the street fighter alpha collection including street fighter alpha 3 upper so I can play shin akuma or evil ryu or final bison on that game I hate that the 30th anniversary didn’t include street fighter alpha 2 gold and street fighter alpha 3 upper where you play as shin akuma or evil ryu on that game which pissed me off because shin akuma was fun to play in the alpha games

God, how many of you guys remember how hardcore these were back in the day? I remember blowing my friends' minds with how much better these were on Saturn than PS1 back then, or having a crowd gather around the cabinet as you beat the absolute dogshit outta someone foolish enough to put a quarter up, and walking away like a damn superstar.
I'd buy the guides from Gamefan, or the issues of Tips&Tricks with movesets and strategies and practice day in and out.
Capcom was one of the elite back then, sharing the pantheon with other titans like Squaresoft, Konami, Treasure, and Enix.

I can finally put my Saturn away! Finally arcade perfect ports with rollback net code!! This is exactly what i was screaming when they made the arcade 1up machine. I was like, "Bruh, Playstation right there." Finally the whole collection (let's be honest UMVC3 is old enough to throw in there but i am happy with this.) On one disc. I could not be more ecstatic.

MvC2 for PS3 came out in the summer of '09. Then november '11 we saw MvC3 come to life. If you think that's just a coincidence, you are mistaken. Capcom is absolutely looking at the sales for the fighting collection to see if a new title is worth their time.
I will be getting this on digital Switch, PS4 and Steam. And physical on Switch and PS4. I can’t believe these games are being released in this awesome collection.

I hate the argument “just emulate it it’s been available” like bro I’m a collector and any price between 40-60 is reasonable for a 7 game collection including MVC2 than getting a $200 used Dreamcast copy. Depending on the release date I'm gonna buy this day one the same way I bought the mega man battle network legacy collection and if there's 1 thing I can trust capcom with is how well done their collections have been doing. Yeah it's nostalgia pandering again but at least in this case it's very important because there's no real way to play any of these Older games Anymore especially the Marvel VS capcom games. That said I do hope that they keep this momentum for the inevitable legends legacy collection since they did remove all 3 games from the digital services years ago and maybe we should get a breath of fire collection because a lot of people are starting to want that.
I feel this way too, if these can be the gateway to prove and put our money where our mouths are, I’m game for it
@@kali-qgames1301 And at least capcom has been doing a better job of preserving a lot of their older projects way more than any other company at this point and I am proud that they're doing that. That being said after the fighting in collection maybe we should get a Rival Schools and a powerstone collection set next.

I was on the fence about buying it but I think I’ll buy it now.
All I want is a proper HD version of MVC2, not that pixelated/blurred version we got in the PS3. Backgrounds turned out great, but the characters were pixelated more than I remember. I know that Capcom can do it. They did it with Street Fighter 2 HD on the PS3 back when it was available to purchase and download. Don't get me wrong, I am totally buying this collection, they got me hyped!!!
I think this will sell very well and we'll get a new vs game that will hopefully be a bit similar to the past tittles. They did the same thing back in 2009 with MVC2 on the PS3/360. I wouldn't be surprised if it's in the early stages of development right now

I was never big into fighting games or good at them for that matter but when I was younger, me and my older brothers would rent a whole ass ps1 and MvC2 to play, that game was sooo much fun, I loved it, just so much chaos n specials on the Screen, amazing, my 9 year old mind was blown but yea needless to say Day 1 purchase for me

My friend Andrew probably has heard about this game so me and him are going to kick each other's asses in all of the Marvel vs. Capcom games that are in the entire collection.
Well, I also think that all of the Marvel vs. Capcom games are the best fighting games I have ever played (especially Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom: inifnite). I got Capcom Fighting Collection two years ago and now... I am going to be looking forward to playing Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection.
We need the power stone 1&2 and the rival schools 1&2 and that canceled 3d fighter that had these characters crossed over with street fighter

I dunno if I agree because I pre-ordered this because I wanted it - not to show them that I want Marvel 4 lol. Capcom has done countless Mega Man collections and still no new Mega Man game - I just want a new Mega Man X. I love that this collection is happening, although a remastered HD version(like the PS3, XBox 360- SF3 Third Strike online edition is another great version of that game. Why can't we do that in this generation?) would have been preferred. I copped the SF Collection and the Capcom Fighting Collection as well, but still, I woulda loved an HD Remaster of Alpha 2 and 3 and Third Strike, not an arcade port. It just makes me wonder how they were able to do that two generations ago.
All in all, I'm very happy with this collection still, but if I didn't need the it, I don't think I'd need to cop it to show that I'd cop a new Marvel Vs. Capcom game bcuz that's really what I'd want instead lol.

I think Capcom should add SNES games like X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse and Marvel Super Heroes: War For The Gems in the collection. A rewind feature would be nice. And add 1p vs CPU mode. Would be nice to see single mode, ratio, modes, 2-on-2, and 3-on 3 in the collection or even add these modes in the next MVC4 or even a updated MVC2 called Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 2 like how Ultra Street Fighter 2 did but have all stages, fighters, songs and endings from COTA through MVC2 and a arcade mode like SF5: arcade edition in UMvC2. And MVC4 should have an arcade mode similar to SF5: Arcade Edition and have all fighters, songs, stages, and endings in MVC4. MVC4 can have a choose your side mode similar to MK VS DC for arcade and story mode. And maybe down the line they should add the original MVC3: fate of two worlds in the collection and the collection can be released for PS5 in the future.

Maybe Capcom, marvel and Disney can also do live action versions of X-Men vs Street fighter Marvel Super Heroes Vs Street Fighter to help save the MCU and improve the movies based on games. Even the announcement of a live action SF film reboot happening. Pardon me if this is off topic.
I just hope as soon as the pre-orders go on sale for the physical copy. There won’t be scalpers that buy the game in bulk and charge 3x the amount.

@@kali-qgames1301 And it happened to me with the Amiibos, the GameCube controller port, the Switch itself when it first came out, Pokemon cards, that Wal-Mart Sonic and Amy bouquet (which I still can’t find at a fair price) and it looks like it’s even gonna happen with me with this upcoming season’s WNBA cards (especially Cameron Brink’s card.) Thankfully, I was able to get all these things except the bouquet. But still, I am gonna make it a priority to pre-order as soon as it’s available.

Disney owns marvel. This game coming out isnt surprising considering how succesful xmen 97 was. Its why cyclops is still on the forefront poster. This is all part of the marketing of xmen and preparing people to shift towards all the new xmen projects coming out. This was strategically released and i expect more of it
Will be getting it on switch and ps4 physical. Probably get digital version on ps4 too in a deep sale so i can fire it up without swapping the disc. Also if we support this they might do another collection, capcom vs snk, Jojo's bizarre adventure are still stuck on dreamcast.
I've had MvC2 on my ps3 hardrive for the longest but sadly i got the yellow light so i was unable to play it. This collection is everything for my little brother and me

I'm not complaining, just wishing that they added Capcom vs Tatsunoko as a bonus which would of felt more complete to me because of the features resembing MVC series. But this is still off the charts though as I will buy it even for the $59.99 price tag.

Well typically, when you grab a game for ps4 it’s also available for ps5. But yeah, the mt framework issue is certainly bad. But I do think if you just buy the digital ps4 version you can play in 5. But don’t quote me on that, please let me know what you find out

I don’t doubt this is what they are doing. The issue is this is not getting the views you would expect for a hit. Go check the views for the announcement for this collection. The numbers are extremely low for what you would expect for a hit. The Bison announcement video blows the views for MVC collection announcement. Sadly this game will be a niche seller in their eyes based on these numbers.
