You say you learnt this base for the mor kolumbu from a friend This is my favorite which was taught to me by my mother In our house fifty five years ago my mother always used rice and kadalai paruppu for grinding with coconut, chili and jeers to make Mor Kolumbu this is the right way to make the base and then add yogurt She,used to do bonda mor kolumbu and Masala vadai mor kolumbu This is the way we all learnt from our mother who was a super cook and she did fusion style cooking before it ever became fashionable
