Driving that speed on any public highway is insane!
I used to drive back and forth to work at 145mph every day. I lived in Germany at the time so there's that.
@@JamesSmith-pc6bh I was about to tell that person, it you think those speeds on a public highway are "insane", don't go to Germany, or Europe in general for that matter. I've been over there several times, most recently in 2016 when we covered about 3500 miles in a month doing a big circle around Europe by car through ten countries including Germany. Our six speed stick rental car would hold 135 mph on flat terrain without a problem, which surprised me since it was an "economy" car, but it was a model sold only in Europe. Cruising at 135 put us right about in the middle of the speed range on the rural stretches of the 'bahn. Some vehicles were slower than us but quite a few were faster. Even at 135 you'd better watch your mirrors while in the passing lane, something could run up on you pretty quickly. You get used to doing those speeds in a hurry. When you have to slow down to 75 mph or whatever in a restricted zone it feels like you're just crawling along.
and should come with a lifetime license suspension and at least 5 years in prison.
sounds fun@@JamesSmith-pc6bh
It depends. I´m german and some bigger cities have ring roads with speed limits of 80-100kph. You´d not expect someone going past you at 200 or more. Same with the US, you simply don´t expect it. When driving on the Autobahn you kinda expect stuff like this and for that matter are extra cautious. But lane etiquette (is this the right term?) is far better over here and to get a driving license you have to do 20 or so hours with a driving instructor, where Autobahn drives are mandatory.
I lived in Arkansas back when I was younger, I passed a unmarked Crown Vic doing 135 in my 1987 blue IROC Z Camaro, I immediately knew it was unmarked but didn’t see it until it was to late,, I was so far ahead of him but still hit my break lights and pulled over for him to catch up ,,,, he was extremely cool and only gave me a ticket for 70, the speed limit in the 80s was 55 I think, he told me he could have took me to jail, I just complied and was on my way, he really liked my car though, it was pretty new at the time!
Done things similar in my Z28. Everytime I was pulled over waiting for them to get behind me. Wasn’t ever taken to jail always cut a break.
Oh lala Great car!!!
If you are far enough to not see any lights then you better get your ass off the highway & not just slow back down to chill on the same road💀

@@alexb.1320, because they lost visual, there is also a slim chance that he could be found not guilty! Depends on what the driver says when being questioned. Notice the officer asked him if he thought he was going to get away. He was getting him to incriminate himself.

Camp in the Ozarks, not in the left lane!
The officer does a good job driving, especially when traffic doesn’t understand to move over!
He really said u thought u were gonna get away 😂 only reason they caught him is because he stopped speeding 😂
They should seize their cars for forfeiture like they were doing in New York go double the speed limit you lose your car with no chance of getting it back.
So you support theft?
I totally agree.
They can do it if the car is registered in the drivers name
They need to change that law so they can seize it no matter who’s name it’s in. That’s the only way to put a stop to BS like this.
Sure even if it's stolen🙄🙄
Curious as to whether I can travel 34 inches off a cop's bumper while going down the interstate just as he did on that Silverado. Sure am glad the Silverado driver didn't have to fully supply the brakes for a panic stop because he thought he seen a deer or something. I'm bet he'd had gotten the ticket and not the cop for traveling too close...
I believe it’s illegal to just sit in the left lane, plus he was going 78 and could have been pulled over for that alone…
@@roxleyldcHe wasn't sitting, he was passing a semi truck.

American roads are not designed for these speeds. For those that don’t understand, European roads are meticulously maintained and angled to to make higher speeds safer to drive. Luckily, these roads look fairly good. Appreciate our police and what they do. Imagine the ‘womph!’ you feel as a car passes you at 150 mph.
I’m going on 30 yrs as LE & it’s still blows my mind how many people don’t move right when I’m driving code. I actually had a driver come to a complete stop when he notice me approaching at a high rate of speed. I literally locked them up & skidded as i drifted around him.
Pleaseeee……..If you see emergency vehicles approaching with lights & sirens, MOVE TO THE RIGHT! (Not left) TO THE RIGHT.
The life that gets saved could be yours.
9:19 I bet this guy let out a huge sigh of relief after he was speeding and didn't signal to get into the other lane when the cop past him.

What are the engine trans and axle specs on Scat p challenger?
These are awesome videos!
Thanks So Much 🌟
Trooper didn't outsmart anybody. He just got lucky.
He was already on another call when he happened to come across him.
He came across another car that looked like the one they were chasing. It won't hold up in court.
Can't out run that radio. Lots of cops at lots of exits.......like swarming bees.
There are a few clowns who say that it is unproven if the Scat Pack car that was stopped was the same as the one the cops were chasing. You need to remember that Trooper Duncan was not the one who started chasing the Scat Pack, it was the other cop that was ahead in the somewhat slower Charger that first observed the perp, and I'm sure they gave details over the radio. They got the right guy.
Honestly, I can see the others point of view. To find stumble upon another vehicle in the right place at the right time would be amazing luck at night that could fit similar description at night to save face from being unable to catch the scat pack car. And possibly to show others who see this video in some form or fashion on the internet that goes to show you even a faster vehicle can and will be caught, so other idiots do not attempt the same thing Just saying ya never know.
The question is, can they PROVE they have the right guy? especially with no plate number 🤷♂️
@@OrgoneMatrix1111 The Scat Pack makes it unlikely. But in the eyes of the law, he should get the same benefit of the doubt as a gray Camry...
How many of that type of car with no plates did you see in the video ? @@willschultz5452
You are ABSOLUTELY sure of that?
A stock Scat Pack isn't going over 175; over 173 is a struggle. There are plenty of autobahn videos showing this. And 12 minutes to empty the tank at WOT? I'm surprised it took that long.
Why on earth is a pursuit reaching 150+ mph !! Insane
Because the criminal was going 180.
I'm not a math genius, but...if my car tops out at 145ish. And the can I'm chasing goes close to 180ish, there is no scenario where I close that gap. At this point, they are chasing a ghost. They got lucky
Nobody stays at 180 for long, especially at night and when they can get stuck behind trucks that are moving 110 mph slower. There is also that post-adrenaline clarity, as in "holy s***, I almost killed myself back there" that hits once you lose sight of the lights and convinces you to slow it down to a reasonable speed (giving the police a chance to catch-up.
There is also fuel mileage. At 55, you get roughly 300-400 miles to a 18 gallon fuel tank. At 180 lol.. you get MAYBE 100 miles. You'll stop eventually.
Had dude jumped off on an exit, went a few miles, got gas, and found another route. He'd be GONE.
It's not all luck. He was paying attention and it paid off. Your pro-punk stance is nauseating.
@@dirtybird437 He'd be relaxing at home watching ASP "pursuits"on YT..

Looks to me like he’s topping out a little over 150.
They must have been tracking him. Look how many turns they took with no sight of him.
ASP has air units, probably was tracking him from the air.
Well done, just what cars do you blokes use over there? Pretty quick I have to say.

It's very rare, but every once in a while one does get away. The person fleeing always has the advantage so it's a wonder more don't.
@blastman8888 your hood loving boy LRHN posted a video saying he got caught. Another thing it's all not the same guy
How does a Challenger turn into a Charger then back to a Challenger?
It has to do with physics. Molecules and atoms and stuff.
Drop 2 l's, an e and an n.
Insert an r.
Reverse procedure.
High speeds made the Challenger stretch out to a 4 door Charger . After he slowed down it went back to a Challenger.
Who gives a f**k? He caught the POS.🤣

For those who may not know, this Mopar enthusiast is a Texas born native. Y'all do know about Texas, right? We're taught to indulge in the BIGGER things Texas offers. Like turning a speeding offense to a felony indictment, or close. HA! Gitty up 🤠👍🏽
Your all just kids, I was a outlaw trucker. 425 cat, Kenworth with 1,000 gallons of diesel with 110 mph top end. 10,000 overloaded, run across 40, run by the scales at 100 mph all the way a cross Arkansas run the exit state-line scales with ten state troopers behind all lights lit up. Brake hard a Tennessee line down to 55 mph. We would yell over CB we’re crossing the line, company drivers would block the lanes of Tennessee scales. Then pull back up to 105 mph across Tennessee yell over CB exiting Tennessee, company driver’s do the same trick and block the troopers having a 1,000 gallons of fuel gave me a 3,000 mile range. Back then very few cars could top out at 115 mph. Very few of us had a car decoy called bandit. Yeah I had 72 Road Runner, judge said sell it or he would take it away. You get stopped for 150 mph. You go to jail, you lose your freedom, you lose your license and that cuda becomes the troopers!
You watch to many movies Gomer yuck yuck
Insane speeds.
"You thought you were going to get away?" Sounds like the cop is trying to shore up an already shaky arrest. I think they'd have a rough time proving that was the same vehicle they were pursuing in court.
Yeah a good attorney can convince a jury of reasonable doubt.
That's why he asked him that question. Get him to admit guilt and you won't have to fight in court.
Bingo, that's why you act surprised and don't answer any sketchy questions or even small talk.
I thought the same thing, and I didn't hear him answer that question. This would be an easy case for an attorney.
Exactly I wouldn’t have said shit, I would’ve acted like I didn’t have a clue why he was arresting me. I don’t see how the guy speeding was endangering the public yet the cops can do 150+ chasing a ghost and that’s not endangering the public?
Do not mess with these Troopers. They don't give up!😁👍
Are the Scat Pacs the 6.4 litre, 392cu.in Hemi's?? If so, The Tennessee State Troopers have some as well.
Great job Trooper! Not to worry, I waved at that black truck for you. He didn't warrant a full 5-finger wave.
Commenting on the truck at 9:12? They were just passing a couple of semi-trucks and trooper tailgated him hard with no lights/sirens. It's not like he purposely blocked him.
The black pickup driving the speed limit passing semi trucks with speed governors that can't reach the posted speed limit? That black truck? The pickup accelerated 5 mph to allow a tailgating car to pass him. I would actually appreciate it if someone did that for me, especially if I was tailgating him like that.
Since (according to the on-screen narrative) the trooper had turned off his lights and sirens, that truck had no reason to yield. 👅
The left lane is for passing! Just because your doing the speed limit dosnt mean you stay camped in the left lane. Pass and move over god damn
