    Martin Littlewood was making things like this in the early 70s. He went on to make some of the best channel bottoms I have ever ridden. Still making them at Margaret River.

    Dude... fucking A!! Now thats what I call thinking outside of the box and innovating. Love it. Keep it up!! Inspired me to try doing new stuff on boards!! This is what the industry needs, new ideas! 💡
    I hope the board rides as good as it looks! Cheers from a fellow shaper from Peru🇵🇪

    Rick Surfboards did that in the late 60's early 70's. The tails snapped off very quickly.

      thank you! I know over here in southern california there are some places that will rent a room with all the tools you need by the hour. not sure if it exists over there but it might be worth looking

      Hey Frayn. I would say just get after it. Find a spot (garage/shed) and maybe seek out another backyard shaper that is local. I am 2-3hrs down the parkway from you. It’s a great way to “zone out” or “get in a zone” after a long day. We do not have the Foam EZ business model here in the east coast Trial and error are great teachers. Just don’t expect your first few to be beautiful boards but I can say they will all surf

    Hi sick vid- just wondering you take off the masking tape off before the fibreglass/epoxy cures fully? (Soz i have asked a few questions)

    • @CameronSardo
      @CameronSardo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks! after a hot coat i probably wait 20-30 minutes and after a lamination it’s around 2 hours before i cut the lap. happy to answer any other questions by the way!

    Thanks for another excellent video. That flex tail looks sweet! Do you get some pop out of it when turning? Inspired by George Greenough?

    • @CameronSardo

    Awesome board ❤ how did it ride ? How was the flex in the water ? Would you use 4oz for the tail again or would you use 6oz and have the tail stiffer ? I’m about to make a flex tail wondering what to use
    Cheers from New Zealand

      it works really well! Honestly i’m not sure id change anything about the way i constructed it here. Maybe if you’re in some super powerful waves you might want to up the fiberglass layers to increase its strength but this is one is perfect for some mushy waves. Best of luck to you making one!
