I just made this soup, and it is absolutely delicious. I made the following minor changes; instead of the poppadoms, I added sweet potatoes (just a small amount). I also added in some coconut milk; again not a lot. And lastly I added some lime juice squeezed in at the end. It is the texture that is amazing, as well as the taste of course. I keep a book where I handwrite my favourite recipes in to. This one’s going in the book!
Just had to make this after watching this video so easy n tho it doesn’t come close to what yours would taste n look like I simply loved it Jamie !! You’re a magician ! 😍thank you x
This is my first time enjoying your TH-cam channel. Great content! Looking forward to hearing more from you! Your video was so informative. Thank you so much! I was a vegan for four years but gave it up because the food was so BORING! Wish I had found your channel earlier. Maybe I'll try it again…
@@nicolii7321 Ow this is lovely thank you. Well knowing your second choice was a revelation (i did not see coming) I could not live without knowing what epiphany would lay hidden in your absolute favourite vegetable...or sometimes i just need to know the answer to a random confession. Either way it's fun you responded and Thank you for that
I love parsnips, but poppadum 's are difficult to get in Texas, so I'll use potato. The great thing about soups is their simplicity. Even a mediocre cook like me can manage to make something edible!
Oh look, another tv chef on the 'less meat' bandwagon. Just as they have been on the 'we never show you adding salt' bandwagon and the 'animal fat is bad for you' bandwagon. Of course, meat is a wonderful and ecologically sound food - beef eats grass and builds soil while agriculture sprays pesticides and depletes soil, after all - and salt and animal fat turn out to be healthy. Who knew, right? Jaimie, honey, I wish you'd go back to your roots and show us what you can do with the foods you grew up with. Y'know, foods that humans ate before all the pc posturing.

This soup is wonderful! There was a recipe for a hot chili oil. Is that recipe still available?

Whole grain pasta or pea pasta?

I omitted the poppadoms / croutons and it came out more like a veg curry which I served with rice - Easy and tasty way to use excess parsnips.
Just watched this and it made me hungry. Looks delicious. Regards from Iceland. 😂
Even without making the soup, the parsnip chips look amazing. Thanks for the tip on how to remove the raw flavor

That's not soup! Looks more like porridge. Jamie, go pay Gordon to show you how to make soup.
Why are you so rude?
If he wants to call it soup then he can 🙄 it's not deep.
