It’s so refreshing to see a young person this committed to carnivore….your age group has far more social pressure from peers than my age group. But that contributes to all the other attributes that make you a good influencer. Keep going Max (by the way, that was my beloved Dad’s name); I hope you know you are making a difference.
RE: Social Situations I just do what vegans do and inconvenience EVERYONE. I make sure all the people know my dietary needs, and they must cook a separate meal for me using kitchen utensils that have never touched a plant. 😂
Thanks for those great tips Max, me and my hubby are in our mid 60s and starting carnivore on the 1st Aug, I have already given away tons of food stuffs, some to our daughters and a neighbour next door, also gave a lot to a food bank and a community fridge that is outside a local convenience store. I am going to write down your tips and put them on our fridge 😊 us newbies really need people like you 👍🏻 thanks again.
People are starting to ask me about my diet, since I’m going to be 49 soon. I’ve been mainly carnivorous since 2002. I’d say 95% compliant, and that’s because I broke my neck and jaw, and the RA and other inflammation that comes with eating vegetation punishes me severely when I “cheat.” Just remember that we’re right about this when you get social pressure. Do you know how weird everyone thought I was when I told them not to eat wheat, beans, rice, corn, pasteurized dairy, etc. back in 2002?😂 You can handle it. Eventually as you watch everyone around you age like a carb burner, the difference will be noticeable. I had my 30 year high school reunion this week, and people were shocked. One of my old friends said I looked better than I did 30 years ago, and it’s true. I’m not puffy in the face anymore. I always tell people that a 100 year old crocodile still looks good and no other species besides our dogs and cats that we feed the same grain sludge ages like we do.
Max you will reach the younger generation as well as the older. Well done. You have done your homework and research and have a great head of info and passion
You are talking about someone who lives alone and can just eliminate all the "bad foods"... but that is not at all practical because even if one lives alone, as I do, I have to have other foods for when guests/family come over... they all take sugar in their coffee... they all eat foods other than meat... I have been trying and failing for over five and a half years to keep to the carnivore diet... the two main reasons I keep failing is that I am a carb addict and my cravings never go away, and on strict carnivore the diarrhea is unbearable... and it never ends... also, in spite of being near morbidly obese, I never lose weight on carnivore as I never go into ketosis... I used to have 14 very close friends... ten of them have died now so I had four remaining and ALL of them think I am crazy and avoid me now that I am still trying to be Carnivore and so I am eliminated from all the lunch and dinner invitations that were always at restaurants... I tried to eat at restaurants by ordering carnivore foods but my best friend was so embarrassed by my dietary requirements that she just abandoned me after 43 years of being best friends. It's just me and my kitty now.... Still... I AM NOT GIVING UP.... as I have had amazing health benefits from the five and a half years of being 95% Carnivore...
I have got rid of all of the none carnivore foods, told my kids if they want to come over with the grandchildren then they need to bring their own stuff with them, I will keep some sugar in for cups of tea for them but I’m not exactly going to be tempted to eat spoonfuls of sugar 🤷🏼♀️ we won’t be buying milk so again they will have to bring a bit with them or drink water, I am doing this for my benefit and not theirs, me and my hubby have so many health issues between us so at 63 & 65 it’s now or never. Try putting yourself first and clear out those cupboards and you might just succeed 👍🏻🙏🏻
Oh and if you’re getting diarrhoea when you are being strict it’s a sign of too much fat, listen to Dr Anthony Chafee and Dr Ken Berry as they explain about constipation and diarrhoea. All the best 🙂
My hubby likes carbs. Best I could do was to put an extra fridge in the pantry for his foods. All of them cause me to binge. One side of a cabinet is my stuff - homemade tallow. Ghee, and salts. It would be 100% easier if he ate like me, but that’s never going to happen. Also, I’m good at parties as everyone knows I can only eat meat. It’s afterwards when I’m cleaning up alone and that watermelon looks so good.

Hi Max thanks for the book 😊 quick question, I am not a big fan of fat on meat so unless I can crisp it up like on belly pork or a pork joint, I don’t know if I will manage to eat it when it’s soft and squishy, any tips on what to do please? Thanks ☺️
I love it, in fact look forward to anyone questioning my dietary habits. It provides me with an audience to absolutely quash them. I enjoy watching them search for words, reasons and evidence to mount against me. Once they do that, its curtains for them.
I personally have not stepped away, but my husband has several times. And he struggles to get back on carnivore after. Society addiction can be powerful. My trick is, Just say NO, to myself. That type of food is not in my best interest.
Part of my issue in sticking to it is that everyone around me eats a "regular" diet. My husband refuses to stop eating what he likes - chips, soda, bread, ect - but he'll have a steak with me. We'll eat lunch with my MIL on Sundays, and she always prepares veggies. I've gotten better at ignoring my husband's whims, but always take a spoonful of veggies on Sunday. Even though she knows I'm been struggling to lose weight, I'm pressured to eat dessert, which I hate.
The trick is to do it twice. If two dinners in a row you say to them no i'm not having that, I only eat meat. Soon they will stop asking and it will just become normal that you don't have the dessert.
@@max.german My husband comes from a stubborn family, lol. I've started offering to bring additional items to family meals, now I'm going to just bring my own or eat beforehand so I'm not hungry.
It’s really hard. Those mothers and MILs refuse to listen or care. Sweetly say no thank you. And if they put it on your plate move it around or I would say I am prediabetic and cannot have dessert now
I am carnivore and include Keto Chow made with butter. Those have been my saving grace in times of stress when I'm too busy to cook something when I don't have anything thawed out. If I didn't use keto chow I would have completely slipped last week. One of the most stressful weeks I've had in a long long time. Ive fallen off carnivore a bit and tried to eat Keto because of muscle cramps. But even keto didnt help me amd now i dont know what to do. I ordered Keto Chow daily minerals, and it helps, but I still have some slight muscle cramping 😢
Try to reduce the number of meals you eat in a day, and to eat your protein in a big bolus instead of dividing it. That will correct your insulin signaling and make your kidneys retain minerals. And drinking a lot of water can help too
