To be fair, Alfred has NEVER stopped to ask questions. If you are in the manor, and you shouldn't be, you're getting shot. The extent to which this man will body villains, permanently, in a fight or shootout is really quite extraordinary and not out of character at all for him imo.
42:34 he didn’t make the suit, Lucius did. You can actually see it when Heretic breaks into the vault. So he does blame the bat family for what happened to Lucius, but he’s paying respect to his father for wearing one of his creations, which is very fitting and inline for his character
They should have did what they did in the real court house thing where Batman got stuck in nearly starved and that's how they almost beat him just add Robin and change the scene accordingly
I hate to say this (because I'm not a fan of Damian either) but if you are a fan of DC, you are wrong for hating Damian. By that I mean. . . Damian is more DC-ified than ANY other character. The difference between Marvel and DC is marvel is men with the power of gods. . . where as DC is gods amongst men. Characters like nightwing. . . well, as far as tone goes, they are more like marvel characters than DC. Damian is like. . . the personification of gods amongst men. He was trained since birth to be a god, and all the superiority that comes with it, to the point of never knowing of humanity. And now he has to learn how to be "amongst men". Similar to wonder woman when SHE was first starting out. . . only. . . less humble about it. He is the dark inverse of superman, more-so than batman is. Just like how "bruce is more so the mask than the man", and how "superman is the lesser half and clark is the main man" where he just "wants to be human" damian is exclusively "I am my capabilities, I am my power, there is no man beneath" where he just "wants to be that". And just how superman is constantly being shown why the world "needs" superman, damian is constantly being shown why he "should" remember that he is not just warrior, but he is also human. Their moralities are as opposed as possible. When I made the bold claim of "wrong for disliking him", what I meant was, if you like what DC is on a conceptual level, then not liking damian is. . . thematically inconsistent. Otherwise you secretly just want DC to be more like marvel (which I personally wouldn't mind either). On a more personal note, I find the character to represent all of DC as a whole, but more specifically, personifies every fault of DC as a whole. You can aim a tone and a style as if you point a bow and arrow in any random direction. That fault he represents, is the aim of that bow. The "gods amongs men" thing. . . i just dont think it works. That story telling in general is better on a much more "human approach". Stoicism only can get you so far. Sometimes you just need good character flaws to really make someone worth caring about.

Bruce doesn’t have to have a raspy voice, it’s nice to change things up other than having identical voices over and over. Not saying Kevin is bad but y’all are biased jus bc he’s the first Bruce/Batman voice actor
@@pickedceasar1216 all I see is ppl being biased, it’s good to have something different other than voices being similar. Jason did a good job, kinda reminds me of Robert Pattinson. They both have a low tone voice yet most ppl like how Robert sounded yet bash on Jason🤨?

No, he didn't... you sure you didn't just confuse him with Roy Harper? I remember that when it aired, some people were confused when we saw Speedy for the first time, and somehow thought it was Red Robin.
Ok so about the whole Damian becoming Robin thing after Batman scolded him. If I recall correctly (help me out it’s been a while since I’ve seen the movie so if I’m wrong let me know) I’m pretty sure Alfred chimed in and that’s what prompted Bruce to let Damian take up the mantle of Robin. Bruce’s main goal with Damian was to teach him how to effectively use his skills to benefit the world in a non lethal manner. He recognized that his son NEEDED to become Robin. If Damian didn’t become Robin it’s safe to assume he would have become a killer because he just didn’t have the proper structure. Albeit Damian being Robin did serve as a good way for Bruce to also keep an eye on his child (because who needs a baby sitter when you can send your son out with you to be potentially killed every night? Under your watch prompting child protective services to have their work practically cut out for them). Bruce ultimately realized that Damian was a lot like him and was hell bent on finding Deathstroke and his mother. No matter what he instructed his son to do he knew Damian was going to find Deathstroke at any cost. So, he figured he may as well have Damian become Robin and again, teach his son how to, as you said, live. How to care for people and how to have compassion. All while having his son sign his own death warrant by having him dress in bright colors.
Damian’s character arc continues in the teen titans movies and the apocalypse war movie They’re worth watching for him alone The comics have also developed him a bit even having him step away from the bat family in favor of having his own solo adventures and his own team A team made almost entirely out of the offspring of well known villains and villainous sidekicks looking for a career change. He also interacts with the offspring of other justice league members but that’s kind of a given
Honestly I met and hated then really liked Damien all in this movie and after this and after the Dark Knight Returns I realized I just love the concept of Robin and I love all takes and Terry will always be my favorite of all Bruce's legitimate children
1. I'm mad that these films are in the same continuity as an animated Flashpoint film that had Kevin Conroy voice Bruce. 2. Batman HAS actually copyrighted his brand: have you ever read Batman Inc? 3. Why did Bad Blood tease Batgirl and never do anything with her in future films? Also, thanks for pointing out the Jason-Todd-and-Tim-Drake-are-absent problem, I actually never noticed and am now genuinely unhappy about it.
I feel that Bruce only felt weird about Damien initially because it’s his actual blood son…there’s a different connection when it’s your own flesh and blood DNA…versus adopting someone who happens to look like you…that would explain why he had no problem raising the other robins but having issues with Damien
I really like that they got Hynden Walch to play Harley in the Hush movie. Tara Strong is the go-to choice when casting Harley, at least until the Harley Quinn series where Kayley Cuoco knocked her out of the park (yeah, I said it, fucking fight me!) but I've always liked Hynden's take on the character. It's a shame that she was only in the movie for a short time.
Yes. When Vee is done with a "saga" (like here with the DCAMU movies involving Batman, or for the Batman:TAS-affiliated movies, etc) he always compiles them in a new video, which is pretty convenient for rewatches. But it also seems to confuse new viewers (if we go by the number of _"is this a reupload?"_ comments everytime it happens) because it's not stated anywhere, not in the title, description or at the start of the video.

And fyi Damien Wayne, voice actor did a great job with the role. Seriously the hate on kid actors is ridiculous 🤦🏾♀️
You gotta do a video on the death of our definitive Batman
13:48 lot of complaining for a video labeled the best Batman movies. False advertising so far
Yo, V I hope you see this comment. I have been watching you since the beginning. I was so excited when you appeared on Grapplevision. I recently came across your Facebook page and saw where you had said you may leave youtube. I just wanted to say I have always enjoyed your videos. Wrestling, sitcoms, batman....you have always entertained me. keep chasing your passion. I used to podcast back in the early days of podcasting and wish I had continued. But no matter what you decide to do I just wanted to say thank you.
We miss you Kevin!
To be fair, Alfred has NEVER stopped to ask questions. If you are in the manor, and you shouldn't be, you're getting shot. The extent to which this man will body villains, permanently, in a fight or shootout is really quite extraordinary and not out of character at all for him imo.
I have both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City video game and miss seeing Kevin Conroy he was the best Batman .
😭
Your are missing origins and knight, people hate on them but they are amazing in my opinion
42:34 he didn’t make the suit, Lucius did. You can actually see it when Heretic breaks into the vault. So he does blame the bat family for what happened to Lucius, but he’s paying respect to his father for wearing one of his creations, which is very fitting and inline for his character
To whoever wants a summary, this guy pretty much yaps the entire video about the animation style and the voice acting and how it’s not anime.
You just hate Demian but he is a great idea for a character
Ron Perlman is the objective best Deathstroke. Change my mind.
It’s the only Batman movie series.
Yas
OMG YES SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT. I thought i was going nuts when I kept saying batman's voice actor was boring. like he's just like ...meh all the time. I grew up with Conroy. RIP
Fr. He always seems uninterested even when the world is about to end
I have no idea why they wouldn't get Kevin or Bruce to do this Batman. Honestly even Diedrick would have been pretty good despite the cheeseynes
Nah you smokin something bc Jason sounds amazing. His voice is slick, smooth, and deep.
@@S.Drift.1 ok it's cool you can like his voice but to me he sounds way to nasily
He'd be a good noir styled Batman though
@@S.Drift.1 also it sounds like you're biased too cause y'know this is all subjective. So I don't get why you're trying to make it sound like someone is right or wrong
actually red robin did show up in justice league apocalypse war but he died sooo
No, he didn't... you sure you didn't just confuse him with Roy Harper? I remember that when it aired, some people were confused when we saw Speedy for the first time, and somehow thought it was Red Robin.
Damien’s goated in this universe
THIS IS ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVORITE MOVIE SERIES
Honestly my favorite movie i. This universe was twen titans vs justice league. I love the relationship of damian and raven
Damian will probably always be my favorite Robin ngl
I'd rather see Batman's OTHER biological son take the mantle... too bad Terry isn't really canon
Damian’s character arc continues in the teen titans movies and the apocalypse war movie
They’re worth watching for him alone
The comics have also developed him a bit even having him step away from the bat family in favor of having his own solo adventures and his own team
A team made almost entirely out of the offspring of well known villains and villainous sidekicks looking for a career change.
I apologize for not finishing this video, but watching it makes me want to see the movie and so now I don't want to see any more spoilers.
When you said that talia was the most skilled woman, I would like to point out lady shiva
it rhymes with GRAPE!
I hope James Gunn adapted some of this in Batman Brave and Bold but more fleshed out.
I feel that Bruce only felt weird about Damien initially because it’s his actual blood son…there’s a different connection when it’s your own flesh and blood DNA…versus adopting someone who happens to look like you…that would explain why he had no problem raising the other robins but having issues with Damien
batman / superman battle of the super sons is a great movie.
Honeslty I love the animation is so damn clean
dollmaker in this looks like birthday boy in earth one
I like the kid lol
31:52: Wonder if it's as simple as subtly reminding us that Hey, he's still a kid, thinking more with passion and intensity than sense.
batman did a on the spot dna test and he is a man who wants to take care of his kid.
32:44
Damn, thats a great quote. Wish he actually said something like that in movie.
I was waiting for someone to make a video on this… it easily is the best animated batman movie series I’ve seen
I hate how bad Slade Wilson jobs every since new 52 was a thing.
Best Batman relationship however will always be Wonder Woman.
What do you think Vee?
Is this a re-upload?
Yes. When Vee is done with a "saga" (like here with the DCAMU movies involving Batman, or for the Batman:TAS-affiliated movies, etc) he always compiles them in a new video, which is pretty convenient for rewatches.
But it also seems to confuse new viewers (if we go by the number of _"is this a reupload?"_ comments everytime it happens) because it's not stated anywhere, not in the title, description or at the start of the video.
batgirl shows up again in Apoklis war
Damian was with the titians at the time you gotta watch them in continuity
I love the animation style of son of Batman
15:59 okay I will admit Slade in 2003 Teen Titans is awesome. However from the story and character portrayal I give thumbs up to the actor for Slade in Son of Batman.
Vee: The dark night has never taken so many L in all of his days,
Me: have you read injustice
What happened?
7:37 deathstroke probably had more training than talia
4:29 batman usually is the brooding one who needs a robin to make him better, damian needs batman to be the robin in a way.
I agree that the voice acting is off in this, that applies to this whole era of DC movies. But if so many of the voices are off than it can't be the actor's fault. It's the voice director.
25:00 finally positive things halfway into this video.
Miguel Ferrer does a MUCH better voice job as Deathstroke in “Teen Titans: The Judas Contract”, he’s much more cool and casual
Is there going to be a review for the rest of the DCAMU this review was great
32:32 alfred has stated he doesn't share the no killing rule Bruce has in a couple appearances
Dick Grayson as Batman is Op lowkey
28:36
I wouldn’t call that a fight , he mainly massacred all of them while they were running scared .
Do a video on Apokalipse War, interested in watching your opinion.
R.I.P Kevin Conroy 🦇
12:05 it’s really weird to hear people of this generation dislike anime. I enjoyed stuff like dbz, Pokémon and Digimon before I even knew what anime was
Damien develops well with Raven in the titans
I loved The Son of Batman series.
man really wants a villain with the wayne genes
25:22 perfect example of show dont tell
In bad blood did anyone notice the TMNT turtle tank in the shipping yard or just me
